Chapter 363: Choice

Chapter 363: Choice

The Fairy Moon Chan arrived, as stunning as when they first met. She was elegant and ethereal, with unparalleled beauty. Her long, perfect figure was draped in flowing white robes, her arrival as graceful as a moon goddess descending from the lunar palace.

Her jet-black hair was loose, her fair forehead glowing with wisdom. Her arched brows were delicate, her eyes sparkling like stars. Her jade-like nose was straight and her red lips were crystal-clear.

This time, she was not wearing a veil. Her flawless and exquisite face was on full display, breathtaking in its beauty. Her face, with a subtle smile, was as white and lustrous as sheep’s fat jade.

The arrival of Fairy Moon Chan was met with great honor by the Fire Nation. Some elders appeared to escort her into their ancestral land, while young people accompanied her like stars attending the moon.

She stood out so remarkably in the Fire Domain, exuding a refreshing and otherworldly aura. Dressed in white, like an immortal floating on waves, she appeared extraordinarily transcendent amidst the flames.

“Fairy, it’s been a long time. I hope you’ve been well. I’ve missed you greatly,” Shi Hao said in a literary manner.

With a “pfft,” some people around laughed. This guy was only thirteen or fourteen years old and still wanted to act like a playboy.

However, upon reflection, there were many young men in the Great Wilderness who were already married by twelve or thirteen. The elders of the Fire Clan were relieved and retreated after accompanying her.

The girl who had been spanked first reported, “Senior Sister, this guy is a lecher.”

“What’s the matter? Is it unusual to touch the tiger’s bottom in a normal duel? It’s not as if it’s been ruined,” Shi Hao said.

“Can you speak properly?” the girl was enraged.

As for the young man from the Celestial Sect of the Divine Throne, he had already left with a cold expression. He did not want to appear as a loser in front of his most sacred senior sister.

Young strongmen from outside the domain had all come to the Fire Domain to watch Fairy Moon Chan. Her fame was so great that she was a leading figure among the younger generation.

Even pure-blooded beings from outside the domain were very quiet. Although they were unwilling, they did not dare to challenge her, showing immense respect for the beautiful fairy who seemed to have stepped out of a myth.

“I was just about to find Brother Shi for a chat. Meeting here is perfect,” Fairy Moon Chan said softly, with a faint smile that was heart-stirring.

Shi Hao sighed inwardly. He had been breaking through continuously lately, feeling as if he could defeat anyone under twenty years old and be unrivaled in the world.

Now encountering Fairy Moon Chan, he felt a sense of awe. Even though he was at the late stage of the Inscriptions Mirror, he still could not see through this girl, who seemed to be shrouded in mist.

“I actually wanted to invite you to our village,” he replied with a smile.

“Senior Sister, he once said he would carry you back to their village,” another girl whispered, revealing the truth.

Fairy Moon Chan was momentarily stunned but quickly regained her composure.

“That was an invitation. Does it really matter where I carry someone? Only honored guests are worth my personal escort. Do you understand?” Shi Hao said confidently.

“Hehe, haha.”

Nearby, there was a stir, and many people showed strange expressions. It seemed that this guy was also wary of Fairy Moon Chan, which was why he suddenly changed his tune and was being obstinate.

“Fairy, we heard that Brother Shi said you are his sister. Is that true?” a young man from outside the domain asked, clearly trying to provoke.

Shi Hao glanced at him and said, “How about a friendly match with this gentleman?”

The few people turned pale. Although they wanted to sow discord, this overly obvious move made the young man show such an attitude, making them nervous.

Fairy Moon Chan’s expression was calm, without any disturbance. She only smiled faintly and said, “It seems Brother Shi is very humorous and quite lively here.”

“If the Fairy has something to say, please speak directly,” Shi Hao said, putting away his smile and no longer being playful.

“Let’s talk over here.” Fairy Moon Chan walked forward, her movements graceful and ethereal, stepping on a bed of crystalline flower petals, her robes fluttering in the air.

It was clear that she wanted to have a private conversation with Shi Hao, not wishing for anyone else to follow. Everyone looked at each other and eventually stopped, not following.

Under the dim moonlight, with ancient trees towering and the fragrance of plants in the air, the atmosphere was refreshing.

They had left the Fire Nation’s ancestral land and arrived in a forest, away from the heat and the magma. The environment was particularly tranquil.

At least, the air was much fresher. In the Fire Domain, it was dry and scorching every day, almost as if one were to burn up.

Night birds chirped, plants swayed, and the moonlight was bright, falling like pure white feathers on the forest, making it exceptionally peaceful.

“You are originally a disciple of my Celestial Sect of the Divine Throne. Although it is just a branch, it is still part of the same lineage. I hope you will return to our sect,” Fairy Moon Chan said.

She spoke with a serene expression, her body appearing even more crystalline under the moonlight, as if enveloped in a thin mist, carrying an extraordinary aura.

Shi Hao walked beside her, stepping on the moonlight and listening to the night birds. The forest’s quietness was striking.

“I have never joined the Celestial Sect of the Divine Throne, so there is no question of returning. I do not believe the Celestial Sect and the Celestial Sect of the Divine Throne are the same. Since the founder of the Celestial Sect has been expelled, it also means it has nothing to do with your sect,” Shi Hao responded.

Fairy Moon Chan looked back and said, “The Great Wilderness will be in chaos. In the future, there will be supreme sects confronting each other. Without an immortal legacy behind you, it will be hard to stand firm. I am doing this for your own good.”

“Really?” Shi Hao’s eyes sparkled. “Why don’t you come back to the village with me?”

Fairy Moon Chan frowned for the first time, remembering what others had said. This guy had once claimed he would carry her back to their village. It was indeed absurd.

By now, she knew that this young man had his own views and was difficult to change once he made a decision, as discussed previously in the Imperial Capital of the Stone Kingdom.

Fairy Moon Chan remained calm and informed him of some news, “Shi Yi will return to the Celestial Sect of the Divine Throne, making a completely different choice from you.”

“That’s just it. He is he, and I am I. What does it have to do with me?” Shi Hao replied, though he was not at peace. That young brother had ultimately made that choice.

“From now on, he will have a great sect behind him,” Fairy Moon Chan said softly.

“So what?” Shi Hao was unyielding, with a confrontational attitude.

Fairy Moon Chan was silent. She knew that if pressed too hard, the young man might directly join the Celestial Sect of the Divine Throne. Losing such a young supreme would be a tremendous loss if he could not be used by her side.

“Why did you make this choice? What’s wrong with the Celestial Sect of the Divine Throne?” Fairy Moon Chan asked.

“Do you want the truth?” Shi Hao said coldly, “I don’t want to get involved in the conflicts of your great sects.”

This was his honest answer. Joining the Celestial Sect of the Divine Throne would necessarily mean opposing the Celestial Sect of the Divine Throne, bringing opportunities but also immense risks, and possibly being ruthlessly eliminated.

Most importantly, he did not want to be constrained.

Being free, he could go anywhere in the world and did not want to become a pawn in someone else’s hands, a tool in their struggles.

“You should know, this might cause you to miss a tremendous opportunity. With your talent, you might have competed for the strongest successor in our sect. Do you know what that means? The entire Celestial Sect of the Divine Throne, spanning several domains, might follow your command and become a true supreme being,” Fairy Moon Chan said.

“I will fight for and create the things I want myself. No one can force me into what I don’t desire,” Shi Hao said, then added, “Furthermore, since Shi Yi has joined the Celestial Sect of the Divine Throne, I will never step into it. You all made the choice first and chose him.”

“You are too stubborn. This world doesn’t have so many edges and corners; everything can be smoothed over,” Fairy Moon Chan replied calmly, her expression as cool as the moonlight.

Shi Hao smiled and said, “Be careful. Shi Yi might become your opponent in the future. Who knows what kind of person the Celestial Sect of the Divine Throne will fall into.”

Fairy Moon Chan’s lips curled into a smile, as if the ice and snow were melting. She nodded and said, “Thank you for your reminder.”

Her demeanor was confident, with an indescribable brilliance in her beautiful eyes. She looked into the void, calm and composed, and said, “I actually hope more young supremes like him will join my Celestial Sect of the Divine Throne.”

Shi Hao’s heart tightened. How could this woman be so confident? Was she truly strong enough to look down upon all young prodigies?

“I really hope you will join the Celestial Sect of the Divine Throne,” Fairy Moon Chan extended her invitation for the last time.

“It’s not impossible, but you must pass on the Celestial Technique to me,” Shi Hao said with a grin, no longer as serious as before, returning to a relaxed demeanor.

“If you join the Celestial Sect of the Divine Throne, in time, if you gain recognition, you will naturally have access to this supreme legacy,” Fairy Moon Chan replied.

“That’s meaningless. Without sufficient temptation, it’s hard to shake my fundamental resolve,” Shi Hao shook his head. With the conversation having reached this point, everything was already destined.

“So, it really is impossible then. You should know that from today onward, you will be battling my disciple Shi Yi,” Fairy Moon Chan said, smoothing her hair.

“There’s another possibility. You might lose that disciple, and I might carry you back to Stone Village,” Shi Hao replied defiantly.

Fairy Moon Chan did not get angry but smiled instead, her beauty astonishing and captivating. She said, “In the future, this vast domain will be in turmoil. Do you think you can rise in an era where even the holy are decayed?”

“If I work hard and earnestly, I have not failed yet,” Shi Hao answered.

“Aren’t you afraid I might kill you here? Soon there will be no so-called battle of young supremes,” Fairy Moon Chan said with a faint smile.

“Then please, Fairy, make your move,” Shi Hao said calmly.

Fairy Moon Chan took a step forward, her movements light and ethereal, as if she were not of this world. With each step, a burst of colorful light rose, and a divine halo appeared around her. Particularly, a divine disc was visible behind her head, like a goddess descending from the heavens.

Finally, she stopped and gazed at Shi Hao.

The scene was silent. Neither spoke, but the tension was palpable. A battle could erupt at any moment. Perhaps this fairy-like woman truly had plans to eliminate all future threats.
