Chapter 364: The Killing Intent

Chapter 364: The Killing Intent

The silence was profound, the wilderness cold and eerie, bathed in the pale, silvery light of the moon that poured down, leaving the entire forest in a delicate, misty hue.

The exquisite figure seemed to have stepped out of a painting, flawless and untainted, radiating a gem-like brilliance as she stood in the moonlight, facing off against Shi Hao.

The confrontation was imminent, the stage set for an epic battle at any moment.

"Go ahead and make your move if you want to kill me," Shi Hao said calmly.

"You are ultimately a disciple of my Supplementary Heaven Sect. You can be obstinate, but I cannot be heartless. I will spare you this time, hoping that when we meet again in the future, we can share a drink," Fairy Yue Chan said softly, a trace of regret on her pristine, jade-like face.

Shi Hao smiled and, ungratefully, responded, "If you don't kill me now, someone will regret it in the future."

"Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that. Take care of yourself and leave," Fairy Yue Chan said calmly, her curvaceous figure glowing with a sacred light under the moon.

"Ha ha," Shi Hao laughed loudly, giving her a deep look and said, "I'll send the same words to you. Take care of yourself. I hope there won't be a decisive battle in the future, or you might end up as a trophy."

"You…" Fairy Yue Chan’s expression changed. After being treated rudely several times, her face turned cold, and an astonishing murderous intent surged forth, like an immortal sword shattering the void.

Shi Hao ignored it, turned around, and walked away without any sign of fear, leaving his back exposed without any defense, striding off.

Moments later, he had left the mountainous area, his figure gradually disappearing beyond the horizon. At that moment, a divine light erupted here, turning the vegetation and rocks within a hundred meters into dust.

"Yue Chan, why let him go? This youth is not simple. It's the best time to kill him before he becomes a significant threat, otherwise, it will be troublesome in the future." An old woman appeared silently.

"Ignore it," Fairy Yue Chan said expressionlessly.

"No, I know your talent is unparalleled. Even if he is a prodigy of the younger generation, he will not be your opponent in the future. However, he may cause harm to our Supplementary Heaven Sect. Others cannot guard against him. If he matures, there will be few who can contend with him."

The old woman said, ready to pursue. A tremendous wave of energy erupted from her, like a surging ocean. In that moment, the entire forest fell silent, all beasts and night birds lying in wait, afraid to make a sound.

"I will go kill him to prevent future trouble. Besides, since Shi Yi has joined our Supplementary Heaven Sect, eliminating his greatest enemy is also reasonable." Her aura was overwhelmingly frightening.

"Do not pursue him; he is very dangerous," Fairy Yue Chan suddenly said, stopping the old woman.

"He is just a youth in the later stage of Inscription. I could crush him with a finger; how could he be dangerous?" The old woman did not believe it.

"He killed two elders in the Shi Kingdom’s imperial capital. Regardless of what methods he used, until we understand the situation clearly, do not act rashly to avoid disaster," Fairy Yue Chan said calmly.

"Regardless of the cost, killing two elders is significant. I doubt he can do it again," the old woman said, uncertain, evidently anxious.

"Do not venture into risky situations," Fairy Yue Chan whispered.

"I understand. Given time, all enemies will eventually fall apart. No one can block Miss’s path to divinity," the old woman’s eyes burned with fervor.

As the breeze blew, the terrifying aura vanished, retreating like the tide.

At the horizon’s edge, Shi Hao shivered, feeling a sense of unease. He looked back and felt as if an ancient beast had awakened deep within the mountains, only to fall back into slumber.

He was not alarmed, remaining calm, with a cold smile at the corner of his mouth as he walked away.

Returning to the Fire Domain, Shi Hao found the big-eyed girl in the morning and asked her to inform Fire Ling’er that he needed to use the Fire Kingdom’s teleportation array to leave.

The deadline of one month was approaching rapidly, and he needed to prepare for the great battle. He did not trust leaving his physical body in the outside world. Only by entering the Void God Realm from Stone Village could he be free of worries and fully committed to the fight.

At this moment, the Fire Clan was naturally elated. Fire Ling’er had successfully undergone her Nirvana and possessed the qualifications of the Fire Emperor, which would certainly make her rise to prominence in the shortest time possible, unstoppable by anyone.

The entire clan was immersed in a joyous atmosphere. Many elders were extremely excited, realizing that Fire Ling’er’s Nirvana was much more thorough compared to before, with far greater transformation.

This suggested that an extraordinary figure might emerge in the Fire Clan.

"Not just a Vermillion Bird; she might surpass the Vermillion Bird."

"Yes, we have that true blood flowing within us, and the Vermillion Bird is our ancient ancestor."

The high-ranking members of the Fire Clan were thrilled, discussing excitedly.

Perhaps only the royal family members, Fire Ling’er’s siblings, were most disheartened. They had lost the last chance of competition.

If nothing unexpected happens, the new Empress will rise.

When Shi Hao met with Fire Ling’er and made his request, it was smoothly agreed upon, and even a remnant of the Fire Emperor’s spirit appeared to meet him.

"I can send you to the western border of the Shi Kingdom."

"Good, then I’ll prepare."

As they spoke, an old woman next to Fairy Yue Chan in the Fire Clan’s ancestral land looked on and said, "Still unwilling to give up, always feeling he is a source of calamity."

"You cannot take action," Fairy Yue Chan said calmly.

"What does Miss mean?" The old woman’s heart stirred.

Fairy Yue Chan said nothing, her white attire moving through the firelight like a fresh snow lotus, pure and transcendent.

"I understand," the old woman nodded. "We will not act. We will determine his coordinates and let others take action."

She followed, seeing Fairy Yue Chan remain calm and silent, then said, "I heard that person has also come to this domain."

"He has come too? Isn't the barrier getting harder to breach?" Fairy Yue Chan asked calmly.

"He is likely just here to take a look and will leave soon. I will also leave after a while. This domain is about to become chaotic and is too dangerous for me."

The old woman said.

At the same time, she furrowed her brow and said, "Miss, be careful of that person. Since he is here, he might be targeting you across domains, which is too dangerous."

Fairy Yue Chan rarely frowned, seeming to find it troublesome, and said, "I know. It’s just the revival of a divine being. You need not worry. Even if I cannot defeat him, a stalemate should be manageable."

The old woman said, "Well, perhaps we can lure him into taking action, to deal with Shi Hao. If he meets with misfortune, it would not be a bad thing."

Fairy Yue Chan looked at her but did not speak, continuing forward.

"I understand. He may not act due to his exalted status, but his subordinates might come. Additionally, we can inform others, like those unruly pure-blooded beings or those who always follow Miss."

In the Fire Clan’s sacred ground, a massive altar glowed, covered with inscribed bones. Then, rays of light flashed, piercing through to create a passage. Shi Hao looked back, waved to Fire Ling’er, and strode in.

"Be careful," Fire Ling’er said with concern, knowing he was going to prepare for a great battle but unable to help.

In the distance, the void was calm, with no ripples.

A remnant of the Fire Emperor's spirit arrived, its gaze fixed intensely on a particular spot. With a wave of his grand sleeve, a thunderous roar followed, leaving a large smear of blood in its wake.

Deep within the Fire Domain, an old woman revealed her true form, her body cracked and covered in blood. She trembled and said, "Incredible, this Fire Emperor surpasses all expectations, more terrifying than anticipated."

Beneath her feet was a piece of Void Beast hide. If Shi Hao were here, he would recognize it as the astonishingly expensive treasure hide auctioned in the Shi Kingdom's imperial capital, now in the old woman's possession.

"I captured that kind of rune fluctuation with a secret treasure, but unfortunately, it was interrupted by the Fire Emperor. I could only roughly deduce its coordinates; it should be in the western border of the Shi Kingdom," the old woman said.

Fairy Yue Chan remained calm and said nothing.

"Coincidentally, that person is also in that region. Perhaps they might encounter each other. Moreover, there are several formidable youngsters active in that area. Rumor has it they discovered some secret from the Small Western Heavens, and there's vague talk of a Supreme Divine Repository there, though its authenticity is uncertain." The old woman's eyes glinted coldly. "Since Shi Yi has joined our sect, we cannot afford to lose. If we can locate Shi Hao's physical body during the battle in the Void God Realm, it would be ideal and could change everything at any moment."

"Do not go too far," Fairy Yue Chan said, turning her gaze.

"Miss, please rest assured," the old woman said with a smile.

Shi Hao, of course, would not reveal the coordinates of Stone Village to anyone. He used the Fire Kingdom’s teleportation array to transport himself to the western border of the Shi Kingdom, still 300,000 miles away from the village.

Though time was tight, it was not overly urgent. Inside the Holy Emperor Palace, time flowed differently; several months inside equated to only a few days outside.

Even so, he had captured a rare beast for transportation, traveling at high speed and using the bird of prey to return swiftly.

"Wow, such a large wild goose, and not weak either. Just right for a meal," a group of people in the boundless wilderness looked up, numbering about ten.

"It seems there is someone on the back of the goose."

"That's just his misfortune," someone sneered, drawing a large bow and emitting dazzling runes. He nocked an arrow and shot it with incredible speed.

Immediately, thunder and lightning roared, and a fierce wind howled, scattering the clouds in the sky. A green arrow shot up and "thunk" pierced through the several dozen yards long goose, blood splattering dozens of feet high.

Shi Hao was startled and then enraged. The arrow nearly pierced him as well. If not for his unparalleled physical body, he would have been doomed.

Even so, he was shaken by the impact, his body swaying and stained with some of the goose’s blood.

This was an unexpected calamity, so sudden that it ignited Shi Hao's fury. He could not believe someone dared to be so ruthless.

This wild goose was a powerful rare beast in the Inscription Realm, yet it was destroyed by a single arrow, its chest exploding and it falling dead into the wilderness.

The goose crashed onto a mountain ridge, breaking ancient trees and scattering rocks, collapsing a patch of thorny forest and leaving a large pool of blood.

Shi Hao, of course, had already floated in the air and then landed here.

A dozen or so people approached, led by a youth with overwhelming vitality, like a surging ocean. Anyone who could shoot down an Inscription Realm wild goose with an arrow was certainly terrifying.

"You, skin the goose, clean it, and then roast it for us," the youth with the large bow pointed at Shi Hao and commanded.

"You’re seeking death," Shi Hao replied with just three words.
