The giant spider from the Demon Spirit Lake arrived, and as expected, it came at a crucial moment, bringing with it a sky full of dark clouds that alarmed the entire imperial capital, its divine might reaching far and wide.
Shi Hao had already raised his great spear, but he couldn't bring it down. Intense divine power fluctuations filled every space, and he was right in the thick of it.
Below, Shi Ziteng's face turned pale. Seeing the anomaly in the sky, a flush of red spread across his face. He knew this was the true form of the Demon Spider. Once it took action, there was no doubt that even those of the nobility would be crushed without a trace.
The entire imperial capital fell silent. All sounds vanished, creating an immense sense of oppression. A massive spider appeared high in the sky, larger than a mountain, its form menacing and intimidating.
This sight was terrifying beyond measure. It was like a demonic deity descending from another realm. Such a gigantic primordial spider—who could confront it?
Even if it didn't unleash its full power, just its presence could crush everything, turning palaces and pavilions into dust. Its mountain-like body loomed over the sky, like an ancient powerhouse awakening.
Its gaze was cold and eerie, looking down upon Shi Hao with a hint of disdain. It said, "The young supreme can only dominate as a youth. If he dies young, he is nothing but an empty shell."
The Demon Spider’s words were like the weight of a mountain. Along with its immense body and ocean-like aura, it made the crowd below shiver, nearly collapsing from fear.
The Demon Spider's domineering speech was like a death sentence for the young man, denying him any chance to grow. This shocked everyone, who felt a sense of regret for Shi Hao.
This was a young man of extraordinary talent, yet his brilliance had drawn disaster upon himself. Many people shook their heads, feeling it was a great loss.
Shi Ziteng stood up, regaining his composure. He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, knowing that everything was coming to an end. Even if the Great Demon God personally arrived, it would be futile, as the true form of the primordial Demon Spider was already here.
"Demon Spider, have you forgotten this is my imperial capital? If you come to celebrate, you are welcome, but I do not wish for you to cause a bloodbath here."
A calm voice came from the direction of the imperial palace.
Everyone was startled. The Emperor of the Stone Clan had been roused to intervene.
Everyone felt a chill. If a conflict were to occur, it would be even more terrifying. The destructive power of a confrontation between such beings was indescribable.
However, one thing was certain: if a battle began, the primordial Demon Spider could easily swallow millions of people with a single breath.
"Stone Emperor, I am merely punishing a human. This young man dared to offend Demon Spirit Lake and imprison my descendants. Do I not have the right to discipline him?" the primordial Demon Spider spoke.
In the imperial capital, it was wary, knowing the Stone Clan had managed their territory for a long time. Once the ancient killing formations in the palace were activated, even revered beings might suffer.
Moreover, the Human Emperor himself was powerful enough, with all national resources at his disposal, enjoying the divine fire's baptism like a demigod, making him unfathomably deep.
"He is a member of the Stone Clan. If there is fault, it will be dealt with by me. Demon Spider, do not say more," the voice from the palace was extremely authoritative, shaking the heavens.
At this moment, all major forces were watching. With the Human Emperor speaking up, it was clear that he intended to protect Shi Hao and keep the young man safe.
People marveled, wondering if the Human Emperor valued Shi Hao’s talent. Shi Hao had established ten great realms, and despite having his supreme bone extracted, he rose to prominence again. His achievements were unpredictable, and he might even reach the divine path.
The Demon Spider did not speak further but began to descend. A massive spider leg, like a towering pillar, landed right in front of the Martial King’s mansion.
"Boom!"
Suddenly, a golden sun appeared, filling the sky and shaking the imperial capital, confronting the Demon Spider and forcing its leg to withdraw.
The Human Emperor displayed his might.
Below, Shi Hao sighed inwardly. He actually hoped that the Human Emperor would not intervene, preferring to wait for the Demon Spider to descend and then use the small tower for a "big" confrontation.
Unexpectedly, the Human Emperor appeared at the critical moment, protecting him and blocking the Demon Spider.
Yet he couldn't acknowledge it openly and had to express his gratitude; otherwise, the Demon Spider would certainly become alert. Even with the small tower, it might not be possible to truly defeat it.
"I hope you will not make a move in the imperial capital and avoid causing a bloodbath," the Human Emperor's words were calm but carried a mighty aura, giving the feeling of supreme authority.
"As the ruler of the Stone Kingdom, since you have said so, I will give you face," the Demon Spider replied.
"Everything ends here." A voice came from within the golden sun, causing everyone in the Martial King’s mansion to shudder.
In the end, the Great Demon Spider and the Human Emperor departed together without conflict.
The immense pressure in the sky disappeared, and people breathed a sigh of relief. The oppressive presence of such a mature pure-blooded being was terrifying.
People discussed animatedly, feeling that Shi Hao had narrowly escaped a disaster, while he himself sighed, having missed a good opportunity.
Soon, he relaxed again, seeing better opportunities ahead. The Human Emperor’s birthday was approaching, and other ancient divine mountain beings might appear. If they also targeted him, it would be a perfect opportunity for a major confrontation.
The imperial capital buzzed with chatter, and Shi Hao had stirred up a huge storm.
His identity was exposed, and his background was no longer a secret. People finally learned about the past of the ruthless child, which became the hottest topic.
After Shi Ziteng got up, he led people away.
Shi Hao did not pursue him, as defying the Human Emperor’s authority was not an option. Since he had been advised to cease hostilities, it was inappropriate for him to act further.
No matter what, the Human Emperor's intervention was to protect him.
"Truly a young supreme, capable of battling with nobles. Shi Ziteng’s defeat is astonishing."
"Back when I was his age, I was far from his level. How did he cultivate to become so formidable?"
"Shi Ziteng's defeat and loss of the Dragon Blood War Spear is a disgrace to him. The result of this battle was unexpected."
A mere youth who first destroyed the Rain King’s mansion and then fought Shi Ziteng, achieving consecutive victories, making Shi Hao the focal point of attention in the imperial capital.
There was no doubt that he was a rising star, and his brilliance would only grow, illuminating the entire land.
"What will happen when the Reincarnated One returns?"
People immediately thought of this question. They knew that Shi Ziteng had a son, said to be like a god descending to the mortal world. If he returned, there would undoubtedly be a grand showdown with Shi Hao.
Thinking of Shi Yi, the major forces were all apprehensive. This young man's innate talent was astonishing, and his return would surely shake the world.
In the past, no one knew he had a supreme bone within him, which he had never revealed over the years.
He was very composed, never letting even a hint of the supreme bone’s power show until today when Shi Hao caused a commotion in the imperial capital, shocking everyone.
No matter how it was evaluated, even if the acquisition of that bone was not honorable, one undeniable fact was that Shi Yi would become unimaginably powerful because of it.
The Reincarnated One was already extraordinary, and with the supreme bone, to what extent would he surpass others? People pondered this question, their hearts racing. Would the future be an era solely for Shi Yi?
"Shi Hao has lost the supreme bone, yet he has grown to this extent, being hailed as the Young Supreme. I wonder if he can still create miracles and face that Reincarnated One."
"Extremely difficult."
Despite recognizing Shi Hao's immense potential, most people still felt that the battle would be incredibly challenging due to the near-perfect innate conditions of the other party.
Shi Yi was in the Ancient Sacred Academy. If he obtained the Celestial Repair Technique, it might make him flawless and potentially resolve the issue of the supreme bone not being naturally his. Would he come back? Everyone was speculating.
Shi Hao left the Martial King’s mansion, and no one could detain him.
From the moment he stepped onto the street, countless eyes were on him, but no one made a move. Even those who held grudges against him only watched from a distance.
One reason was Shi Hao's own formidable strength; having defeated Shi Ziteng, others would first assess their chances before approaching. The other reason was that the Stone Emperor was protecting him—who would dare act recklessly?
As Shi Hao walked down the street, his mind gradually calmed. Now, he had announced to the world that the child from back then was still alive. Could his parents and grandfather hear this? He hoped and anticipated their reunion.
A tinkling laugh came from around the corner. A young girl appeared, saying, "My lady, Miss Xia, invites you over." She was a maid of the Demoness, only in her teens, lively and clever, with large, sparkling eyes full of spirit.
Shi Hao smiled. After the battle, he wasn’t sure where to go, so meeting the Demoness was a good option.
The Guanyue Pavilion was a well-known restaurant in the imperial capital, frequented by cultivators because its owner was a marquis, and ordinary people rarely entered.
In a private room, the Celestial Fox Fairy was drinking alone. She was slender with black, flowing hair, a smooth and full forehead, and lively eyes, making her look both beautiful and ethereal.
The room was not luxurious but faced the street. The walls were adorned with calligraphy and paintings, and the table was made of polished jade.
Shi Hao greeted her and sat down, pouring himself a glass of fine wine, which he drank in one go. Smiling, he asked, "Are you a spiritual embodiment or your true self?"
"Guess," the Celestial Fox Fairy replied, her eyes twinkling. Her face, as pure and translucent as mutton fat jade, had a rosy hue from drinking. Her smile was enchanting, truly captivating.
"Probably a spiritual embodiment," Shi Hao said.
"Correct," the Celestial Fox Fairy admitted readily.
Shi Hao was surprised; indeed, it was a spiritual embodiment.
Whether it was the carefree Demoness from the North Sea or the charming Celestial Fox Fairy before him, both were incredibly clever and cunning, beyond ordinary. It was hard to imagine what the true form of such a stunning maiden would be like.
"Did you come to see me for something?" Shi Hao asked, after being lost in thought for a moment. This Demoness was perceptive and would not come to him without reason.
"Nothing much, just here to protect you," the Celestial Fox Fairy said with a smile.
"I need your protection?" Shi Hao was taken aback.
"If I don't protect you, that fat guy will likely harm you."
"Which fat guy?" Shi Hao was puzzled.
"Naturally, that fat Moon Chan," the Celestial Fox Fairy said while drinking.
