He charged toward the ancient sacred artifact, causing many to exclaim in surprise as they saw Shihou stomp forcefully on the ground, making the arena shake, and rush toward the glowing magical item.
The weapon was dazzlingly bright, piercing the eyes with tears, causing pain as if pricked by needles, and flew rapidly towards the young man in mid-air.
"Qingtian Baolun," some cried out, recognizing the sacred artifact, renowned for its brilliance in ancient times.
It was entirely blue and round, engraved with various runes, emitting endless divine radiance, like a blue sun covered in countless symbols, powerful and terrifying.
This treasure wheel originated from the Qingtian Divine Mountain, having slain numerous ancient powerful beings and stained with the blood of countless heroes. It was renowned as a great killing weapon, having remained intact through countless major confrontations over the long ages, always clear and powerful.
Shihou met the wheel in mid-air, his left arm glowing with fiery runes. That arm was completely different now, resembling the left hand of a god, covered in numerous symbols, striking at the Qingtian Baolun.
"What? That's a divine aura," the crowd gasped, stunned and awestruck.
An exceptionally unusual aura surged forth, making people tremble. It was not weaker than the Qingtian Baolun, even more mysterious, its fluctuations like a starry sea.
Runes descended from his arm, enveloping Shihou's entire body, protecting his flesh and causing divine symbols to appear on every inch of his skin.
"What is that? How can there be such a phenomenon?" The crowd was puzzled, their eyes wide open, afraid of missing anything.
A strange sound echoed through the air, followed by the Qingtian Baolun being knocked backwards, soaring into the sky, its light flickering erratically as various symbols flashed and vanished.
On the other side, the fierce young man also shook violently, a layer of runes on his body emitting brilliant radiance, dimming and lighting up repeatedly. The scene was shocking as he was thrown back, finally crashing to the ground.
When Shihou fell, the ground trembled but did not collapse, thanks to the formation underneath that protected the vast arena.
In the distance, the Qingtian Baolun's light flickered on and off several times, hanging there like a blue sun.
"What’s going on? He didn’t die and blocked an ancient killing weapon."
Many rubbed their eyes in disbelief, unable to believe that the wild child hadn’t been killed or turned to dust.
Shihou had blood at the corner of his mouth and was injured, but not seriously. His body was covered in mysterious symbols from his left arm, enveloping him.
"How strong. This thing is really impressive," he said, satisfied. After a brief rest, he recovered, his combat ability unaffected, and looked ahead.
The result shocked everyone. It was absurd that he could withstand an ancient sacred weapon and was still full of life and spirit.
In the distance, the gray-haired youth's face was pale, breathing heavily. It was indeed a sacred artifact, and a renowned ancient weapon at that. Activating it fully required immense divine power, leaving him drained.
Yet, the result was that the human youth’s life was not ended, which he found hard to believe.
"This is the Qingtian Baolun," he shouted. Some big names from ancient times had been suppressed by it. How could a mere youth at the Spirit Transformation realm survive?
"You lack the ability to operate the Qingtian Baolun," Shihou whispered, striding forward and approaching the gray-haired youth.
"That’s not right. How did you survive? Your arm also has an immaculate ancient sacred artifact," the youth retreated.
Shihou charged forward, pressing the attack, driven by anger from nearly being defeated earlier. He now understood that those from Qingtian Divine Mountain wanted him dead.
An intact ancient sacred artifact could easily annihilate him. If it weren’t for the mysterious treasure within him, he would have been in grave danger.
"Qingtian Baolun, suppress!" The gray-haired youth roared, forcibly activating the treasure wheel in the air, which descended like a blue sun at high speed.
Shihou's eyes flared with divine light as he was forced to stand his ground. The sacred artifact was too powerful, and he had to exert all his strength, raising his left arm, which shone brilliantly.
"The protective arm is a radiant protective arm," the crowd finally saw, realizing it was an unusual magical artifact fused with his flesh.
The protective arm was blurred, seemingly fused with his flesh, glowing with symbols intertwined densely.
"Doesn’t that look like the divine artifact from the Heavenly Divine Mountain?" someone murmured.
"Yes, I also think it’s that one," a young man from the Ancient Divine Mountain whispered.
Many looked towards the purple-clad girl, Yunxi, with puzzled expressions. That was a weapon passed down from her ancestors, immensely powerful. How could it end up in someone else’s hands?
"Boom!"
Shihou's arm shone again, sending the Qingtian Baolun flying, and apart from a bit of blood at his mouth, he was unharmed.
"That really is the divine artifact from the Heavenly Divine Mountain."
"Very similar, though in a somewhat peculiar state."
The beings from the Ancient Divine Mountain were uncertain.
Indeed, what Shihou was using was a protective arm from the Heavenly Divine Mountain, but it wasn’t a tangible entity. It was the soul of a weapon extorted from the Divine Illusion Realm.
At the time, Yunxi’s grandfather had invited him to the Northern Sea, but he refused the risk and was subsequently used and silenced. They had specifically demanded this treasure as collateral.
This was only the soul of the protective arm; otherwise, it could not be freely brought out of the Divine Illusion Realm. Now fused with Shihou’s arm, it served as a vessel, unleashing terrifying power.
The Heavenly Divine Mountain was a prominent place among many forbidden zones, and its name indicated that it had produced true celestial beings in ancient times. Their artifacts were naturally powerful.
"If it weren’t for the unusual state of the Heavenly Divine Mountain artifact, the Qingtian Baolun would be in danger of being destroyed," someone whispered.
Yunxi was helpless. The artifact had fallen into the hands of the wild child, which was like throwing meat to a dog—completely wasted. To get it back, she would have to find a way to capture him alive.
At this moment, the gray-haired youth was trembling, unable to sustain himself. He strained to activate the artifact but could no longer bear the immense consumption.
He tried to launch another attack, but Shihou didn’t give him the chance. He turned into a streak of light, coming at him forcefully.
Shihou was also greatly exhausted. Despite being a divine artifact, even though it was only the soul of the weapon, the consumption was staggering. However, he possessed the Ten Great Caves, and his divine power far exceeded that of others.
"Kill!"
The gray-haired youth resisted, but how could he withstand Shihou’s arm pressing down with a booming sound, radiating divine aura? He was swept away and coughed up blood.
As he was thrown backward, Shihou pursued, leaping into the air and landing a kick on him, pinning him down onto the arena.
A cracking sound was heard. Not only did the gray-haired youth feel pain, but even the onlookers felt a pang of it in their ears. His bones were shattered in multiple places.
"Let me up!" the gray-haired youth shouted.
"You still want to get up?" Shihou raised his hand to strike him. Since the opponent intended to kill him, he had no reason to show mercy.
"Cough." An elderly cough came from afar, and the head guard appeared, saying, "The Emperor has decreed that the duel can proceed, but it should not end in death."
Shihou thought for a moment and nodded. After all, it wasn’t ideal to have several people killed at the Emperor's birthday, so he didn’t kill him.
The gray-haired youth tried to rise, but Shihou kicked him, sending him flying, and said, "Not killing you doesn’t mean letting you off."
Everyone was dumbfounded as Shihou furiously kicked the gray-haired youth’s backside, causing his bones to crack loudly, nearly crippling him.
The gray-haired youth screamed in agony; it was a humiliation that drove him to madness. A being from the Ancient Divine Mountain being kicked in the rear in front of so many people—what face would he have left?
"And you three," Shihou said, pointing. The three youths were so frightened that they fled in panic, their earlier cold demeanor gone, utterly scared.
"Bang!"
None of them managed to escape. Shihou’s speed was extraordinary. Using the divine artifact to suppress them, he then used the Ten Great Caves to trap them, kicking each one in the pelvis, shattering their bones.
"Ah!" The three cried out in pain, the agony tearing at their hearts, but the most unbearable part was the sheer humiliation.
Shihou ignored their screams and continued kicking furiously, turning them into rolling lumps of flesh. Their bones cracked, and their dignities were shattered.
The crowd sighed; these guys were finished. They would likely carry this trauma for life. Of all the people to provoke, they chose a ruthless child, and now they were suffering the consequences.
The young men and women of the human race were shocked, covering their mouths. Shihou was so dominant that it wasn’t just talk. He had kicked the pure-blooded beings all over the ground.
They were speechless. They had never dared to imagine that such a terrifying race could be subdued so thoroughly by a mere youth.
"This guy is really impressive. By the way, is he betrothed?"
"Pfft, dream on. A guy who can handle the beings from the Ancient Divine Mountain is not likely to marry into your clan."
"You're the one dreaming."
As the battle concluded, the defeated youths were carried away, their state pitiful. Even as grown men, they were humiliated by such treatment, becoming laughingstocks.
"It's just bad luck for them. They didn’t expect the opponent to have a divine artifact from the Heavenly Divine Mountain."
In truth, if Shihou didn’t have such a treasure, with his current cultivation, even if he was extraordinarily talented, he would have fallen under the ancient sacred artifact. The gray-haired youth and his companions had indeed had a chance to kill him.
"How did he have an ancestral artifact from the Heavenly Divine Mountain?" Many were puzzled.
"A girl gave it to me," Shihou answered.
The crowd showed strange expressions and looked at Yunxi with some suspicion, feeling there was a hint of scandal. Otherwise, why would such a thing be given away so casually?
"What nonsense are you spouting?" Yunxi said angrily, a flush of red appearing on her fair cheeks. With so many people watching, and that guy still making wild claims, she felt utterly embarrassed.
"I’m not making it up. The person who gave it to me emphasized repeatedly not to lose it. I’ve kept it safe until now," Shihou said.
He then ignored them, turning his attention to the Qingtian Baolun in the sky, eyeing it with intent.
Yunxi, fuming, had a red face. She was so angry that her teeth were grinding. With so many people watching her, no matter how much she tried to explain, it was impossible to clear her name. This shameless kid was causing her so much trouble.
"You little brat, dare to touch my artifact?" A cold voice came from the sky, shaking the arena and causing many to nearly collapse from the shock.
"Who’s that old ghost talking?" Shihou retorted rudely.
"A speck of dust dares to compete with the sun and moon, truly ignorant of death," the cold voice reverberated.
"Old and pretentious, come fight me. I’ll kick your butt," Shihou called out nonchalantly.
At these words, the entire area fell silent. People were stunned, unable to believe what they were hearing. This guy actually wanted to kick the backside of a venerable being?
"Unaware of the heavens and earth," a thunderous voice echoed, causing many to cough up blood.
"Come on, and bring that big spider too. I’ll kick all your butts," Shihou continued shouting.
