Chapter 341: The Demon Spirit Lake
Breaking records one after another, leaving messages on the crystalline monument, the way the two communicated left people stunned, unable to speak. It was truly "cruel."
Shi Yi responded to the challenge and was expected to arrive soon, which stirred everyone’s emotions, their blood surging with excitement and anticipation for the battle.
The atmosphere here was extremely oppressive. The mountain gate was shattered by Shi Hao’s slap, and the bronze plaque was turned to dust. This naturally alerted the powerful beings inside, and dozens of auras surged forth.
The Demon Spirit Lake was a place where pure-blooded beings resided, capable of commanding the boundless wilderness with unmatched strength.
Ordinarily, no one would dare to provoke it. Those who saw beings emerge from the Demon Spirit Lake would avoid them.
The great lake was azure, clear and sparkling. Figures emerged from the magnificent buildings on the lakeside, their expressions as cold as water. Over the years, no one had dared to provoke them.
This was a forbidden zone, home to descendants of celestial beings. They never needed to station guards at the gate because no other beings dared to approach. The current situation was very strange, something that had never happened before.
"Bold indeed! For years, no one has dared to step on the gates of my Demon Spirit Lake, yet you have destroyed our clan’s mountain gate," a middle-aged man shouted angrily.
“He is Shi Hao,” a young man whispered.
“What?” The man was immediately taken aback, his aura weakening a bit.
Shi Hao stroked his chin and suddenly laughed heartily towards the sky. He felt he had missed something in the past until today, when he realized that the so-called Ancient Divine Mountain was truly a treasure trove. It was home to pure-blooded beings that could be hunted and refined into precious medicine.
This was the Void Divine Realm, but everything here corresponded to the external world, achieving astonishing effects. The treasures here could nourish the spirit, and when returning to the real world, they could fortify the physical body.
“What are you laughing at? Do you think you can do whatever you want here?” The middle-aged man’s face darkened, looking extremely grim.
In the battle at the imperial capital, Shi Hao had slain the Azure Demon Black-eyed Spider, causing great loss to the Demon Spirit Lake. That had been a respected elder, killed by a mere youth.
“Who are you, half-human half-beast? Bring out a pure-blooded being,” Shi Hao said.
The middle-aged man’s face turned ashen. This was an act of contempt, showing complete disregard for him. For a powerful being from a forbidden zone, this was a humiliation.
“This world does not belong to a single person. No one can be invincible. As a human, you should understand respect. This is the Demon Spirit Lake, not a place for you to act recklessly,” the middle-aged man admonished.
“Well said. This world does not belong to one person or one race. Then tell me, why did the Demon Spirit Lake come to intimidate the Martial King’s residence, drive away my grandfather, and seek to kill me?” Shi Hao asked.
He took a large stride forward, harboring no goodwill towards the Demon Spirit Lake. He immediately made a move, slapping forward. Rocks tumbled, and the lake’s waves surged dramatically.
The middle-aged man and others staggered backward, their faces turning pale. This was the result of their retreat; if they had fought head-on, they would have suffered greatly, likely resulting in immediate bloodshed.
“Young man, stop,” a majestic voice suddenly echoed. A large black spider appeared, emerging from the grand buildings by the lake.
“Approaching pure-blooded,” Shi Hao observed.
Even in the Ancient Divine Mountain, pure-blooded beings were rare, most being descendants with mixed bloodlines.
Nevertheless, beings from the Divine Mountain were far stronger than those from the outside world. Approaching pure-blooded ones were even more formidable, able to suppress and dominate an area.
The Demon Spirit Lake was a forbidden area, not to be desecrated. A violent wind whipped up, like a hurricane, tossing sand and stones, and even boulders the size of grinding wheels were swept up.
The black spider was enormous, its black hairs eerie, staring at Shi Hao without ceasing.
“You have already killed a respected elder of my clan, and now you come here to act recklessly. This is truly going too far.”
“You Demon Spirit Lake have always wanted to eliminate me. Since you are enemies, it’s only right for me to continue until one of us is dead,” Shi Hao sneered.
He walked alone into the mountain gate and arrived before the great lake, facing the grand palaces. He felt a tremendous aura but remained unafraid.
“Kill!”
The black spider suddenly commanded, spitting out a brilliant web. At the same time, the area lit up with silver runes covering the ground, as if an endless galaxy was woven, aiming to trap Shi Hao inside.
Unfortunately, this had no effect. Shi Hao’s left arm shook, emitting radiant divine light, as if it were burning, causing the area to fragment and the array to collapse.
“Divine Artifact!”
“That is the ancestral arm guard of the Divine Mountain.”
Someone exclaimed. Shi Hao possessed a great killing weapon, now revealed and intimidating, making many in the Demon Spirit Lake wary.
People were so tense their breathing became rapid. Before Shi Hao even fought with Shi Yi, he had already clashed with such a forbidden zone, making things even more tumultuous.
This also drew attention, as it might lead to even more intense conflicts, potentially sparking a world-shaking battle. The forbidden zones were notoriously difficult to deal with, and as descendants of celestial beings, who knew what terrifying trump cards and contingencies they might have.
The black spider charged, spewing out a wave of runes that turned into star-like particles, corroding all tangible matter, incredibly terrifying.
Shi Hao responded coldly, using both hands to cast seals, creating a series of order runes that eradicated all the sparkling substances.
“Ten Thousand Spider Webs, Suppress and Kill,” someone on the other side shouted.
Shi Hao remained calm, his divine radiance within him transforming, becoming a divine furnace, making him blaze like an eternal furnace.
With a “boom,” flames surged, burning fiercely. The incoming spider webs were all ignited, their brilliance dazzling and intense.
Shi Hao strode forward. Anyone who blocked him was punched away. He engaged in a fierce battle with the large spider, colliding repeatedly, with fire and runes exploding together.
“Puff”
The black spider staggered backward, coughing up blood. It struggled to stop Shi Hao’s advance.
“Young man, stop now. This is a forbidden zone, the territory of my Demon Spirit Lake. You cannot act recklessly here,” another large spider appeared.
This was a greenish being, glowing all over, its aura overwhelming, resembling a small mountain, a pure-blooded entity.
Most importantly, it had a treasured item floating above its head, emitting an astonishing beam, circulating celestial mysteries, with vague appearances of the sun, moon, and stars.
This spider was terrifying, definitely an elder of the Demon Spirit Lake lineage. Especially with that artifact, it made Shi Hao’s heart skip a beat.
The artifact was hazy, wrapped in a light sphere. Shi Hao observed closely and realized it was a battle flag.
Soon, he noticed that the ancient aura ahead had changed completely. Under the control of this battle flag, mist spread, as if chaos was emanating.
“A grand array left by the gods,” Shi Hao was surprised, not immediately engaging.
“Boom!”
Eventually, a great clash erupted. Shi Hao held nothing back. Facing the divine array on the opponent’s side, he used the divine arm guard, sparking a tremendous battle.
No one expected that before the two young supreme beings had even started fighting, such a world-shaking battle would already break out, extraordinarily intense.
“Boom!”
The great waves surged, countless water splashes erupted from the azure lake. Various patterns covered and interwove, with the large spider green and brilliant, driving the battle flag, using an unparalleled grand array to suppress and dominate.
Unfortunately, it encountered Shi Hao, who had opened ten caves, evolved endless divine radiance, and transcended the extreme realm. Here, he could be said to stand at the peak.
The battle was intense, with the grand buildings cracking apart, and runes fading and dimming.
These buildings, once like ancient temples, were situated by the lake, magnificently grand. Now, however, they had lost their luster and were no longer so majestic.
Everyone was terrified; it was too frightening.
Boom!
A grand celestial palace exploded into dust. The first major formation shattered, and Shi Hao’s divine arm guard glowed, stirring up the clouds and storms. His divine might was unmatched.
The green spider was thrown into disarray. The glowing orb on its head fell and vanished into the depths of the ancient land.
It changed color, showing its dissatisfaction with the ancestral artifact, deeming it unworthy and losing the dignity of the Demon Spirit Lake lineage, abandoning it.
Shi Hao charged over in a few steps. The green spider tried to escape but could not outrun him. They collided repeatedly, blood splattering.
With a “puff,” the giant spider was slain, torn in half by Shi Hao. This result stunned everyone.
A pure-blooded being had been killed.
This was an enormous event with far-reaching consequences. Even before the battle of the young supremes began, an extraordinary figure had already fallen.
Shi Hao moved to seal the corpse, but it began to turn into light rain, about to disappear. He flicked his fingers, and a Soul-destroying Needle flew out, piercing the light rain with a “puff.”
“Ah!”
In the real world, the Demon Spirit Lake let out a mournful scream. The head of a large spider exploded, bleeding continuously and rolling around, on the verge of death.
Silently, a golden spider appeared, retrieving an artifact. It quickly suppressed and restrained the head, using supreme divine power to extract a red light.
In the Void Divine Realm, Shi Hao was stunned. He saw that as the light rain was about to extinguish, it flickered several times before finally dissipating, not seeming like death.
This shook him deeply.
The grand formation rumbled, and the magnificent buildings glowed. The Demon Spirit Lake became even more terrifying, with fluctuations rising like an ocean.
“Hmm, a second layer?” Shi Hao marveled. It was no wonder this forbidden zone had once housed celestial beings; there was more than one divine formation guarding it.
Anyone trying to conquer this place would face great difficulty.
“That’s enough!” A commanding voice suddenly rang out.
In the distance, a young figure appeared, soaring through the air with unmatched majesty and strength. Wherever he went, the heroes retreated, sending shivers down people’s spines.
Shi Yi had arrived, descending like a celestial deity, glowing with power and dominance.
Everyone was deeply shaken. With the main figure present, an intense battle was inevitable, likely causing a tremendous upheaval.
Shi Yi, looking about sixteen or seventeen, had thick, black, glossy hair that shimmered. His skin was as smooth and lustrous as jade, and his deep-set eyes held a profound aura. Standing there, he had a special charisma.
“My dear younger brother, your hand is indeed not soft,” he said calmly.
