Chapter 234: The Northern Sea

Chapter 234: The Northern Sea

Seated in front of the Heavenly Palace were several venerable elders, each holding a position of immense respect and wielding formidable powers, reputed to be some of the greatest forces in their respective regions and leaders of major factions.

At this moment, one of them stood up and spoke, causing the green-haired youth to halt and refrain from making a move.

Shi Hao also stood there, calmly watching him, and said, “It’s not that I am seeking trouble, but they have gone too far.”

The blood on the ground had not yet dried. The young powerhouse, shattered into pieces, had blood splattered all over the divine mountain, making him appear like a small demon god. Over the years, how many had dared to fight on the divine mountain?

Many people stared at him, astonished by his earlier display of strength. Indeed, the Ten Caverns Realm was formidable; having just entered the Spirit Transformation Realm, his combat power was already so impressive.

Even the girl in purple, among others, looked on with eyes shimmering with divine light, observing him repeatedly. The vast divine mountain was very quiet, with everyone waiting to see how the elders would handle the situation.

“Who hasn’t been young? We all were once reckless and nostalgic,” said one elder, smiling kindly, his whole body glowing, not blaming anyone.

“It’s just a small matter. After ten or even a hundred years, you’ll look back and find this little dispute insignificant, like a tiny ripple. Just let it pass,” another elder said, smiling gently, exuding a radiant warmth like a small sun.

What could have been a fierce battle was thus diffused, and peace was restored on the mountaintop.

“All preparations are complete. It’s time to set out. Other alliances have already taken action, and if we delay any longer, we will fall behind,” an elder said.

“We have agreements with other clans, making it difficult for us to take action. This time, you’ll have to rely on yourselves,” the elders said.

The Ancient Divine Nest had appeared, and the Kunpeng’s precious art would soon be revealed, stirring the winds and clouds of all directions. If these supreme beings took action, who knew what kind of devastation would result?

There was an agreement among them not to engage in direct confrontation; otherwise, the losses would be severe. The entire wasteland would be unsettled, and a great earthquake would occur.

Everything would be resolved by the younger generation. This way, the destruction would be minimal, and whoever had greater opportunity would obtain the Kunpeng’s precious art.

In fact, these elders had surpassed the Spirit Transformation Realm and were unable to enter the Kunpeng Nest, which was the main reason they abandoned the struggle and left it to the younger generation to conquer.

If they could freely enter and exit that sea area, things would probably be different. They would have acted already, competing with all their might and causing upheaval.

“Do your best. We will appear if necessary. No one is allowed to break the rules,” one elder said.

During the contest, elders of this level should not be involved. Because they could not enter, but when it came to leaving the Ancient Divine Nest, it was hard to say what might happen.

Perhaps a powerful being would intervene, eliminating all the younger generation to obtain the Kunpeng’s precious art. Anything could happen, including the most brutal events.

Finally, they set out. The group was vast, stepping into a five-colored passage, the path to the heavens from the divine mountain.

“That sea area is very special. Throughout history, countless people have died there. In the past, no one knew the reason, but recently it has been revealed to be the work of the Kunpeng. You must be cautious,”

Before leaving, the elders gave their final admonitions.

At the last moment, the girl in purple’s grandfather also appeared. He was the chief elder who opened this five-colored passage, looking extremely dignified.

When Shi Hao stepped into the passage and greeted him, the elder’s body stiffened, his face turned dark, and his hand trembled, causing the five-colored passage to shake three times. Many people turned pale with fright.

“Hehe,” one elder chuckled to himself.

This was the guardian of a clan, reputed as a supreme being. He had been beaten by that mischievous kid in the Void Divine Realm. The few old men who knew him could not help but laugh each time they remembered it.

The elder from the Divine Mountain, the girl in purple’s grandfather, wanted to grit his teeth and slap the mischievous kid down, finding his disrespect outrageous. But in the end, he restrained himself.

“Mischievous kid,” he finally uttered, blowing a breath. A fierce wind roared, shrouding the sky and sending Shi Hao deep into the passage.

“Hey, we haven’t caught up yet; we just met, and I wanted to ask the elder for advice,” the youthful voice came again, causing the elder’s hand to tremble once more and the five-colored passage to shake violently.

Eventually, the army departed. There were divine servants, divine guards, and young people from the Spirit Transformation Realm, numbering at least six or seven hundred in total.

It was like strolling through the galaxy, walking on this passage, with the group rushing towards the distance. Time seemed to fly by, or perhaps it was disordered, with rays of light flashing.

No one knew how long had passed when heavenly light appeared ahead, and a moist, salty breeze hit them. They found themselves millions of miles away, far from the divine mountain.

“Ah, this is so magnificent,” the mischievous kid exclaimed, his eyes wide, standing on the soft sand, feeling deeply shaken.

Having seen the wasteland and mountains, and heard the roars of fierce beasts, suddenly appearing before a vast sea was a profound impact. Shi Hao looked around; everything was new to him and he had never seen such a scene before.

“The sea is truly boundless,” Shi Hao murmured. He had seen many large lakes and vast waters, but compared to what he saw now, they were mere puddles. For a child raised in the mountains, it was a striking experience.

On the golden sandy beach, a group of people emerged, stepping out of the five-colored passage. Facing the vast ocean, most remained calm.

“This is the Northern Sea, the northernmost part of the wasteland,” a divine servant said.

The sea surged and roared, with waves crashing like thunder. The vast expanse of white mist blended with the horizon, making one feel a stirring sensation and the insignificance of oneself.

“Could the legends be true? Are there dragon palaces or sea gods in the sea?” Shi Hao whispered.

“Silence. Do not mention such taboos by the sea, or it might bring calamity.”

The elder servant accompanying the girl in purple was a golden beast, its teeth nearly worn away, its body like golden cast, exuding powerful fluctuations and dazzling brilliance. Now, he had become the mischievous kid’s personal bodyguard, mainly to prevent him from causing trouble and to respond to his various questions.

At this moment, several elder servants unfurled ancient scrolls and spread them on the sand to study, aiming to determine the target sea area.

“We need to cross the sea. This sea area is very dangerous. If we take the five-colored passage, we might be shattered in the void,”

“This sea has been turbulent since ancient times. There are many powerful beings in the sea. Be careful,” one silver-clad elder servant reminded.

Finally, a young man’s palm glowed, revealing a small boat carved from a fruit pit. It was translucent and shining, radiating a faint glow, clearly prepared in advance.

The small boat expanded rapidly in the wind, becoming as grand as a small mountain. It landed on the sea surface, resplendent and radiant, enveloping the entire boat.

“Let’s go. We’ll cross the sea and head to that sea area.”

Clearly, the girl in purple, the silver-haired girl, the red-haired youth, and the green-haired youth, who had conflicts with Shi Hao, were the main force for this expedition. They would be responsible for the battles within the Kunpeng Nest.

At that time, the elder servants would not be able to enter. It would be a great battle of the Spirit Transformation Realm.

Everyone boarded the large ship, which moved like a mountain, rumbling as it sailed through the waves, heading deep into the sea.

This was a treasure ship, moving at incredible speed, almost like flying. In the blink of an eye, it advanced several hundred miles. The towering waves were unable to shake the ship.

After sailing a thousand miles, the ship suddenly shook violently, its brilliance flickering, and the entire vessel nearly capsized.

“What’s going on?”

“What happened?”

Everyone was startled to see a silver dorsal fin appear in the ocean, incredibly massive and terrifying. It had collided with the ship.

“Boom!”

The next moment, lightning surged, and silver thunder burst from the sea, shattering the giant ship into pieces. The arcs of lightning crisscrossed the sky, creating a terrifying scene.

“Ah!”

Screams erupted as a number of people were struck by the silver arcs and exploded.

“Beast, how dare you!” an elder servant roared in fury. He tossed out a beast hide, which covered the sea, covered in runes and radiating holy light, blocking all the lightning.

The next moment, another elder took action, presenting another beast hide that rapidly expanded and spread out like a landmass, catching the remaining people.

Hundreds of people were suddenly attacked, with more than half injured or killed, and the survivors were all wounded.

“Carelessness,” one divine servant said regretfully. Flying in the air, such powerful artifacts consumed immense energy. They had been traveling on the sea to conserve energy, but they didn’t expect to be attacked just a thousand miles out.

“What kind of creature are you, and why are you attacking us?” Below, a divine servant was fighting the silver monster fish.

The creature was entirely silver, resembling a giant fish but without scales. It had a pair of bull horns on its head, and its massive body was like a small mountain, making it difficult for the divine servant to handle its lightning.

“I loathe you land creatures. Several of my offspring were killed by beings like you days ago,” the silver fish roared.

“Boom!”

Thunder crashed down like a vast ocean, creating a white haze. The elder divine servant trembled violently, his body charred black, narrowly escaping the calamity.

“What a powerful sea creature!” Everyone was astonished. They had only just entered the sea and already encountered such a monster. How dangerous could the journey ahead be?

“This has nothing to do with us. If you have grievances, seek out the real culprits. Why attack us?”

The other divine servants acted, working together to suppress the creature.

In an instant, runes flared, sealing the sea surface. The giant fish roared and struggled violently, then leapt up, revealing its silver-white body and releasing undying lightning.

“Boom!”

In the final strike, it was covered in blood, nearly split in half. It fell into the sea, swished its tail, and disappeared into the deep.

“You creatures will all die!” This was the roar before it vanished, filled with rage.

“It seems this journey will be full of unrest. This is just the beginning,” the powerful divine servants sighed.

“Ascend. Do not stay close to the sea surface.”

Eventually, the remaining three hundred or so beings stood on the massive beast hide and flew through the air, with runes spreading out and shining brightly.

After traveling thousands of miles into the ocean, a dense blue light surged toward them, crashing into the beast hide. From afar, endless blue runes shone, striking like a meteor shower.

“It’s the Sea Demons!”

These were creatures with flesh wings, human bodies, and dragon tails, all blue in color with bizarre appearances. They had human faces but long fangs protruding from their mouths, looking extremely menacing.

These beings emerged from the sea, all opening their mouths to spew blue runes. Thousands of Sea Demons and runes fell upon them.

“Damn it, these creatures are the most troublesome. We have no grievances with them, so why are we being attacked again?”

The divine servants acted, intertwining runes to block the blue light rain. Thunderous sounds erupted as they destroyed all the runes.

However, the sea boiled, and countless blue figures surged up. Tens of thousands of Sea Demons appeared, stirring up immense waves and making the sea churn.

“I knew it. They are difficult to deal with. Once they attack, they come in hordes, with at least tens of thousands, and the worst could even be hundreds of thousands of Sea Demons.”

Even the powerful elder servants grew anxious. The situation was dire; even if there were only a hundred thousand, it would be enough to bury them all here.

The sea erupted with blue killing light, and mysterious runes flickered, followed by overwhelming murderous intent. It was a sea-bottom formation capable of slaughtering those in the sky.

“The Sea Demon Lord has ordered the sealing of this sea area. Intruders will be killed without mercy!” came a loud command from the ocean.

“Breakthrough, quickly!”

A divine servant took out a beast horn and blew it. The sound was like thunder, shattering endless blue runes. The beast hide glowed as if burning, and the ship flew at high speed.

Clearly, the beast horn was terrifyingly powerful. Its sound was like the roar of a god, piercing through all barriers, destroying the blue runes, and opening a path.

This was an ancient treasure from the divine mountain, meant for dealing with such crises.

After escaping far, everyone finally calmed down, feeling that the sea area was fraught with dangers. What had happened?

“What exactly is going on? Did those who came earlier provoke some great disaster? Why does this sea area feel so murderous? Could it really have disturbed an underwater dragon palace or a sea god?”

They were uneasy but continued towards their destination.

Two hours later, they reached the depths of the sea.

Suddenly, the sea roared, and the sound of horse hooves echoed, as if thousands of horses were galloping, with the clash of weapons shaking the sea and sky.

“What is that?”

People were shocked to see a large black horse galloping on the sea’s surface, as if it were treading on vast land rather than water. The sound of its hooves was deafening, and everything was caused by it.

On its back was a headless humanoid creature clad in black armor, exuding terror. It held a golden war spear, pointing to the sky and charging at them.

“What’s going on? What kind of creature are we encountering?” Everyone was alarmed.

This sea area was too bizarre, with waves of powerful beings attacking. The situation was particularly strange, especially with this headless figure being so eerie.

A divine servant took action but was immediately struck by the golden war spear, spitting blood and flying backward.

“This is bad. This is an ancient saint who died in the sea. Even its residual power is beyond our capability to handle.”

“Quickly summon the revered ones for protection!”

They were stunned. They had not even entered the Kunpeng’s ancient lair yet and were already facing such waves of crises, strange and terrifying.

“Hmm, something’s wrong. Everything here is sealed off. Could it be that we’ve entered the Demon Sea? We can’t summon the revered ones, or are we getting close to the Kunpeng’s ancient nest?”

“Slash!”

The golden war spear sliced through the sky, splitting the beast hide in two. A small part of it shattered into pieces, and screams erupted as people’s bodies exploded.

Shi Hao observed all this, his heart shaken. There were so many powerful beings in this sea, more dangerous than the wasteland.
