Chapter 267: Family Discipline

Chapter 267: Family Discipline

A group of people rushed forward, their excitement palpable. They had been ambushed and imprisoned unexpectedly today, and they sensed something had changed in their clan. They never expected it to be the return of the Fifteenth Master.

The once-feared Demon God, who they had thought was long dead, had returned. He was their good brother, someone they had fought alongside, and they were thrilled to see him.

They laughed and cried, unable to control their emotions upon seeing a brother who had come back from the dead.

“Hahaha, Old Fifteen, it’s good to have you back!”

Eventually, after a long time, the crowd began to calm down. They escorted him to a grand hall where they needed to have a serious talk.

The Fifteenth Master did not rush into action. He was unafraid and not worried about sudden changes. With nine large flags sealing off the Martial King’s Mansion, there was no way those people could escape.

“I want to know where Ziling went. Is Hao’er still alive?” the Fifteenth Master asked, his voice low and filled with sorrow. His brows were deeply furrowed, and he was genuinely distressed, in stark contrast to his earlier imposing demeanor.

The group fell silent, feeling guilty for not taking better care of the younger generation.

“Back then, none of us were in the mansion. By the time we received the news and returned, it was too late,” one person sighed.

“It’s my fault for not protecting Hao’er,” said an old man who, when enraged, resembled a lion. He was the fourth among the clan elders.

At that time, he had tried hard to deal with the poisonous woman and punish Shi Yi, but he was stopped by Shi Yuan and others, resulting in a standoff and nearly causing a major battle and internal strife.

“I want to know what exactly happened,” the Fifteenth Master said as he sat on a high dragon skin chair, feeling weary. He had a foreboding sense of trouble, and his heart was heavy.

“Hao’er was born a supreme being.”

When the elders recounted some old stories, the Fifteenth Master was filled with excitement. His grandson had such a divine bone inside him. It was a great comfort to him, and he laughed like a child.

“Hao’er was very cute, intelligent, with big and bright eyes. It was just that later…”

When he heard that his grandson had been bound to a cold iron bed and had the divine bone forcibly extracted from him, with blood everywhere, the Fifteenth Master was enraged. He roared, shaking the Shi Mansion.

“Boom!”

A large number of palaces exploded, walls crumbled, and debris flew. His rage was at its peak, feeling immense frustration. He was the great Demon God, and his grandson was a born supreme being—how could anyone dare to treat him like this?

He could imagine the immense suffering of that child, bloodied and helpless, calling for his family with confused, tearful eyes while the cruel woman showed no mercy.

“My Hao’er, you’ve suffered,” the Demon God’s eyes welled with tears. Despite his usual dominance and unmatched fierceness in battle, he could not hold back his tears now, his fists clenched tightly, and his heart ached terribly.

Such a small child had endured such great pain. He murmured, “Grandfather is sorry for you; it happened at such a time.”

“Old Fifteen, don’t blame yourself. You left home to find pure blood for Hao’er, risking your life. He would understand and be happy.”

“Ah!” The Fifteenth Master could not help but go mad, screaming to the sky. His hair stood on end, and he moved wildly, like a demon.

“Dare to treat my grandson like this. Do you think our line has no one left?” The Fifteenth Master was furious and wished he could go back in time. If he could traverse time and space, he would wash that underground palace in blood.

From a distance, Shi Li, hiding in the palace, was pale and trembling. He had been deeply involved back then, having shown favoritism towards Shi Yi and her son.

In the grand hall, the clan members continued to recount past events to the Fifteenth Master. This time, the old man managed to control himself, refraining from roaring or wailing, and listened quietly.

However, people noticed that his eyes grew colder and more intimidating, like a fearsome beast, striking terror into everyone.

The Fifteenth Master was furious. His grandson, a born supreme being, had been harmed and was in critical condition. Hearing that his grandson’s memory had become muddled, that he had degenerated from smart and obedient to not recognizing those around him, his big eyes vacant and dazed, tore at his heart.

“Poor child, my poor Hao’er.” He could no longer hold back, shouting to the heavens, and strode out of the palace, heading towards a stone mountain.

With a rumbling sound, the Fifteenth Master extended a massive hand, conjuring endless runes that enveloped the area, shaking the earth and collapsing the underground palace.

“Ah, no!” Shi Li cried out in terror. He had hidden but was still discovered so quickly.

He was frightened and wanted to wait for reinforcements, but it seemed there was no time.

The Fifteenth Master imprisoned him from afar, grabbing him and coldly asking, “Do you have any life-saving talismans? I want you to use them all.”

“No, none left, only that one.” Shi Li screamed.

“Slap!”

The Fifteenth Master slapped him, causing all of Shi Li’s teeth to fall out, with blood flying from his mouth, and his jaw shattered.

He was flung away by the force of the slap, crashing into a nearby low mountain, dust rising and rocks falling, looking extremely miserable.

He whimpered, his eyes full of terror. He had once dared to fight Shi Ziling, relying on his age to bully the younger, but in front of the Demon God, he did not even dare to struggle.

He knew it was futile; in a real fight, he would be directly crushed, with no chance of survival.

No one understood better than him how terrifying the Fifteenth Master was. Even the mighty ancient species, the Five-Colored Phoenix King, had been shot down by him with just a few arrows.

“My Hao’er, how pitiful you are.” The old man roared with grief, even the fierce Demon God’s eyes were filled with tears.

“Boom!”

He kicked Shi Li into the mountain, bloodied and in agonizing screams, with his body nearly destroyed.

This was the result of the Fifteenth Master’s reluctance to kill him immediately. Otherwise, that first slap alone would have turned him into a bloody mess.

“Continue,” the Fifteenth Master calmed his emotions, allowing his old brothers to recount the events of the past, his heart full of grief and anger.

Shi Li’s heart sank. The Demon God was using him to calm himself, and it was worse than dying immediately.

If he were the Demon God’s own uncle, there might be some old affection, and he might be spared, but being a member of another line, there was no good outcome for him.

Listening to the end, the Fifteenth Master’s heart bled. His chest heaved with pain for his grandson. He wished he could shatter the heavens and return to that era to rewrite the events.

Finally, hearing that Shi Ziling had returned, causing chaos in the Martial King’s Mansion, and directly nailing the poisonous woman with a golden spear, he finally felt a bit of relief.

The final result was that Shi Ziling and his wife fought fiercely against the clan’s masters but were eventually forced to flee to a distant land, carrying the weakened child who had lost his supreme bone. Their whereabouts remain unknown to this day.

The Fifteenth Master’s tears flowed hotly. A once-happy family had been torn apart, their fates unknown. His rage was uncontrollable.

At that moment, the Demon God howled at the sky. After understanding the cause and effect, he could no longer restrain himself, roaring like an injured beast. Tears streamed down his face, and his hair flew wildly.

He was mad. At that moment, no one could stop him. Like a demon king breaking free from chains in hell, he strode forward. Each step he took caused the earth to裂开裂缝, spreading far and wide.

Nothing could block his path. Buildings and other obstacles in his way were shattered and turned to dust.

The Fifteenth Master had gone mad, crying uncontrollably. Such a formidable figure, a demon god, had never shed tears before, but today he could not help himself.

A child who was born a supreme being was cruelly tortured, with his bones extracted and blood flowing, then grafted into the body of another child. It was a fate incredibly cruel and tragic for the former.

“My poor Hao’er, Grandfather will seek justice for you. Let’s see who can stop me!” The Fifteenth Master’s roar shook the surroundings, reaching outside the mansion. It wasn’t just a message to those inside; it was an announcement to all the clans in the imperial capital that he had returned.

The Demon God feared no one. He sought an explanation because, after his incident years ago, everyone had thought he was dead, which had emboldened them to treat his descendants so unjustly.

“Boom!”

The Fifteenth Master stomped on a subterranean palace, crushing it as if stepping on a rat, forcing Shi Yuan and others to come out.

“Stop! Old Fifteen, let’s talk. Don’t use violence!” the others cried out.

“Shut up, you sons of bitches!” The Demon God was furious. He slapped them with such force that they screamed in agony, their bones breaking, blood spraying from their mouths, and they fell into the dust.

Shi Yuan and his group naturally could not sit idle and immediately fought back. There were many of them, experts from their line or those closely related to it. Runes filled the sky as they charged forward, setting up various killing formations.

However, all of this was in vain. Thirteen years had passed, and the Demon God had become even more terrifying, advancing at a pace far beyond that of the past. With a single roar, many of his opponents exploded, scattering in all directions.

The scene was so bloody and shocking that it stunned everyone. It was overwhelmingly powerful.

With a roar that sounded like the wrath of a celestial being, he shattered a large portion of the experts.

“Do you think there’s no one left in my line?” The Fifteenth Master was frenzied. Who could stop him?

“Old Fifteen, don’t kill us. Ziling isn’t dead, and Hao’er should still be alive. Don’t you want to know where they are? Please, stop!” Shi Yuan was terrified. Even though he was a clan elder with significant authority, he was trembling uncontrollably and shouting desperately.

These words finally made the Demon God stop, suppressing his rage and sadness. He looked at them coldly.

“Old Fifteen, don’t kill them. Just capture them. Take a breath,” his old brothers called out from behind.

Even they were frightened. The Fifteenth Master was mad, and no one could stop him. They feared he would wipe out the Martial King’s Mansion, leaving no survivors.

“Alright,” was the only word the Demon God uttered.

Next, everyone from the Martial King’s Mansion was gathered. The Fifteenth Master took action himself, pressing his palm into the void. A golden-winged Roc flew out, overwhelming the sky and suppressing Shi Yi’s line.

As for Shi Li, who was the first to be dealt with, the Demon God first destroyed his cultivation with a single stomp and then kicked him into the crowd.

The Fifteenth Master sat in a high chair, filled with sorrow and silence. After a long while, he said, “I am not unreasonable. Today, I will teach you some principles.”

Everyone relaxed slightly, relieved that he had calmed down and was no longer in a frenzy.

After a moment of calm, the Fifteenth Master spoke coldly and mercilessly, “The Shi clan’s internal strife and fratricide are forbidden. Anyone who violates this will be killed without mercy. Today, I will enforce the clan’s laws.”

These words struck fear into everyone. Their hearts sank, and they were horrified. It meant that anyone could die, with no escape.

“Old Fifteen, you can’t do this. The clan laws should be enforced by the Martial King, not you,” Shi Yuan shouted.

“Pfft.”

The Demon God pointed, and Shi Yi’s great-grandfather let out a scream. Blood splattered as he realized his cultivation had been destroyed.

The Fifteenth Master did not immediately kill him but coldly stared at everyone and asked, “Do you think I’m unfit to enforce the clan laws?”

Everyone was terrified and dared not speak.

He stood up, looking like a demon god, towering over everyone. Even with only one arm left, his presence was incredibly imposing and intimidating.

“Old Fifteen, even if we have committed great offenses, we should wait for the Martial King to come and decide,” another clan elder finally spoke up.

“The Martial King? I think he has become senile. After all these years, he has failed to handle this matter and is so unfair. He is old,” the Demon God said coldly.

Everyone trembled. The Martial King was a powerful figure who had once contended for the throne with the Emperor, strong enough to make the entire ancient kingdom tremble.

“You must not be disrespectful. You cannot show disrespect to the Martial King,” one elder reprimanded.

“Why not? I will first deal with your family law,” the Demon God said, raising his hand. With a whoosh, his palm transformed into a golden grinding disc, which he slapped down on the elder. The elder exploded into a cloud of blood.

This method was as shocking as thunder, deeply shocking everyone. The Fifteenth Master spoke again, “If the Martial King is senile and doesn’t want to sit in that position, he can be removed.”
