A figure strolled down the main street, ethereal and elusive. He carried a bronze tower in his hands and made his way directly to the front of the Martial King’s Mansion.
“Stop!” someone called out, blocking his advance.
Creeeak
The red gate was pushed open, and a man stepped out. His hair was jet black, his skin pale and translucent like jade, and his eyes were bright with a hint of depth. His demeanor was extraordinary.
“Step aside,” he said, commanding the people in the mansion to move aside.
When the Fifteenth Lord was battling the Rain King, Shi Ziteng had retreated to the gatehouse of the Martial King’s Mansion and had been waiting there ever since, now ready to welcome this person into the residence.
The man looked to be around forty, with pitch-black eyes that resembled an abyss, creating a terrifying vortex as if capable of devouring one’s soul.
He had emerald-green hair, and his body was not very robust—long and ethereal. When he did not speak, he seemed to blend into the void, making it hard for anyone to sense his presence.
Shi Ziteng approached and greeted him, leading him into the depths of the mansion.
“Who are you?” someone inside the mansion demanded.
Earlier, Shi Ziteng had confronted the Great Demon God, and now, after leaving the battlefield during the fight between the Fifteenth Lord and the Rain King, he had returned with this fearsome guest, which naturally aroused suspicion.
The visitor turned around, his eyes dark as two black holes, forming two swirling vortexes.
Nearby, the person who had questioned him suddenly let out a loud scream, falling straight onto the ground, with threads of aurora escaping from his forehead.
Those around felt a chill and all retreated.
It was eerie—just a glance from that person made one’s soul feel as if it had left the body, absorbed into the other’s eyes, which was truly frightening.
“Shi Ziteng, what are you trying to do?” Some elders from afar asked in surprise, their voices raised.
“Nothing much, just inviting an elder to visit,” Shi Ziteng responded calmly, guiding the man further into the mansion.
This caused concern among the group, especially among the Fifteenth Lord’s old comrades, who immediately summoned their treasures and gathered to block the way.
“Everyone, don’t act recklessly. You are all my elders. Let’s discuss this peacefully. I am here to stop the conflict,” Shi Ziteng said.
The crowd was skeptical, as Shi Ziteng had opposed the Great Demon God, and given his nature, he likely had powerful backup. The terrifying presence of the newcomer only added to their apprehension.
In the sky, a tall figure appeared—The Great Demon God had returned and landed, addressing the emerald-haired man, “Are you here for me?”
Then he strode with authority and took a seat in a large, ornate chair, not looking at the emerald-haired man but fixing his gaze on Shi Ziteng. “Ziteng, aren’t you disheartened?”
“Uncle Fifteenth, you are too aggressive. I’ve invited an elder to mediate,” Shi Ziteng replied with a faint smile.
“Is that arrow you brought from the Black Forest? Let me see it,” the emerald-haired man said, his eyes becoming abyssal.
“That bronze tower you’re holding looks like one I lost. Let me take a look,” the Fifteenth Lord said with a sidelong glance.
If there were a mischievous child present, they would surely question why this had a resemblance to his style.
“You are confident, but you should also have self-awareness. Excessive confidence often leads to self-destruction,” the emerald-haired man said.
“You come to my clan’s mansion to lecture me. Is it arrogance or do you really think you can guide the world? Your words suit yourself,” the Fifteenth Lord replied, reclining in his chair and looking at him with cold indifference.
“You are quite something. Follow me,” the emerald-haired man said.
“A mere spiritual body, severely wounded, dares to come to my mansion and give advice. What do you think you can do?” The Great Demon God straightened up from his chair and stared at him.
Everyone was shocked. This was not a real living being but a spiritual body, which was quite astonishing.
“Yes, I met an old friend on the way and had a fierce battle, which delayed my arrival in the Imperial Capital of Stone Country,” the emerald-haired man said.
Suddenly, he raised his hand, revealing eight bones in his palm, varying in color—purple, white, and golden, among others. Clouds of mist and auspicious qi emerged from them.
He cast the eight bones into eight directions, sealing the Martial King’s Mansion completely.
Everyone was stunned. This was too dominant; he had entirely trapped the area, preventing the Fifteenth Lord from escaping. How confident he must be!
At this moment, Shi Ziteng stood up, bowed to the emerald-haired man, and stepped back.
The emerald-haired man pointed with his finger, and a beam of light appeared, sending Shi Ziteng out of the mansion. He was cautious, keeping himself away from the battle and dangerous situations.
“I appreciate you. Come with me. With your talent, your achievements cannot stop here. As for your severed arm, with a bit of divine medicine or elixir, recovery will be easy,” the emerald-haired man said.
“You may be an eyesore, but I think it’s better for you to stay. How about remaining in the Martial King’s Mansion?” the Great Demon God responded.
“Do you want me to make a move?” The emerald-haired man’s voice rose, like a thunderclap.
“Try if you dare,” the Great Demon God said, already standing and preparing to strike.
Everyone had a general idea that the emerald-haired man came from the Ancient Divine Mountain, likely from Shi Ziteng’s sect, and had a significant background.
At this moment, thinking about it, everyone felt a chill run down their spines. Such a powerful figure, representing the ancient ferocious beasts and divine birds, was truly formidable.
Buzz
The emerald-haired man’s eyes turned into two black vortexes, incredibly frightening, with a powerful devouring force that unsettled the soul, as if pulling it out.
Many nearby screamed and retreated, their bodies weakening.
Boom
The Fifteenth Lord stomped his foot on the ground, and strange runes lit up and then exploded, disrupting the stillness of the void. The strange devouring force disappeared.
“Let me see what you’re really capable of,” the emerald-haired man charged forward, quickly closing in on the Fifteenth Lord.
He made a sweeping motion with his finger, sending a wave of cold air, which turned the temperature here to freezing. With a swoosh, the Fifteenth Lord vanished, and the ornate chair was frozen, turning to powder.
“Absolute Freezing”
People screamed in shock. This was a manifestation of the True Lunar Force, which, once sealed, would not only result in physical death but also fragmentation.
Boom
The Fifteenth Lord materialized behind his opponent, swinging one arm, causing a black dragon to emerge. It transformed into a black chain, wrapping around the opponent’s body, and roared through the heavens.
The emerald-haired man dodged, shifting hundreds of yards away, only to find the black chain trailing behind, wrapping around him.
“Order Black Chain”
The emerald-haired man was astonished. This was the power of rules, a form of order, which the Fifteenth Lord had apparently mastered. The black dragon tightened around him rapidly.
“Break”
The emerald-haired man roared, and a demonic fire burst from his body. The black order chains broke apart inch by inch, releasing him from their grip.
At the same time, his aura surged, and his eyes became eerily hollow, devoid of any vitality. They seemed like gateways to another realm.
Indeed, within those hollow eyes, gray runes intertwined, devoid of light, like souls of the dead. The void split open, creating a portal.
The mournful sounds echoed endlessly from within, as if this was a demonic abyss resembling hell, with shadowy black figures swirling inside.
With his eyes, he opened a peculiar portal, intending to send the Fifteenth Lord inside.
This was a form of divine ability and a fearsome technique, one that ordinary people could not even comprehend or have heard of.
The Fifteenth Lord was attacked, his body flickering, and he was soon engulfed by the void, about to be swallowed.
Wuuu wuuu
A swarm of black shadows surged forward, attempting to drown him.
The Fifteenth Lord’s body was enveloped in black and white qi, which tangled violently, spinning rapidly and transforming into two spiraling true dragons. With a thunderous roar, he shattered numerous black shadows and broke free.
Turning back, the hellish void still loomed, pressing down with overwhelming force. His gaze turned cold as he drew his bow and released an arrow with tremendous speed. With a deafening explosion, the portal was finally blown apart.
The emerald-haired man remained calm. The bronze tower in his palm soared into the air, rapidly enlarging to the size of a mountain, towering above and threatening to destroy the entire Martial King’s Mansion.
The power of this tower was immense.
“Close!” he shouted.
The tower glowed, its surface marked with mottled signs of age, now manifesting as runes, with its power becoming even more terrifying.
The Fifteenth Lord felt a shiver. This time, the force approaching him was particularly powerful, and he couldn’t resist it. His body was lifted off the ground, being drawn toward the tower, as if he were about to be absorbed.
Clang
He drew his bow and fired the silver arrow, which instantly pierced through the void and struck the massive bronze tower.
Sparks flew, but the arrow did not penetrate. The runes on the tower glowed brightly, illuminating the area.
“Divine artifact,” the Great Demon God said with a grave expression. He felt a heavy weight in his heart; this person was formidable.
This was a fierce battle with no options left, no room for retreat—only a fight to the death.
Clang
The silver arrow collided with the bronze artifact, creating a resonant clang. The runes vanished, making it a terrifying sight.
The battle had escalated from the ground to the sky, shaking the capital. The presence of the emerald-haired man and his powerful weapon made the fight extremely brutal.
In the end, the Fifteenth Lord was absorbed into the bronze artifact, turning the faces of those in the Martial King’s Mansion pale, as if the heavens were collapsing.
However, the emerald-haired man’s expression changed. He did not relax. Indeed, the bronze tower trembled, with intense noises coming from within. It was not only a silver divine arrow but also a black divine arrow. The Fifteenth Lord was shooting arrows inside the tower.
Meanwhile, the silver divine arrow outside was also autonomously attacking, constantly crashing into the tower.
The world seemed to shake as if forging metal, with the sound deafening and the emerald-haired man terrified, fearing that the bronze artifact might be destroyed.
Boom
In the end, the Fifteenth Lord burst out, freeing himself from the tower’s confinement. Despite the blood on his lips and injuries on his body, he had successfully escaped.
“Kill!”
Upon their next encounter, there was no choice. The two engaged in a deadly battle, using their strongest powers, fighting with blood and life.
The people in the capital trembled. The Great Demon God was so powerful that he could fight against a being from the Ancient Divine Mountain.
Silently, a new figure appeared in the Martial King’s Mansion. No one saw when he arrived, and once discovered, no one dared to look him in the eye, feeling fearful.
“Emperor of Humanity”
“Greetings, Emperor of Humanity”
Everyone in the Martial King’s Mansion trembled and hurriedly bowed.
“This battle should end,” the Emperor of Humanity spoke.
The arrival of the Emperor of Humanity was unexpected, and his immediate declaration to end the conflict was surprising. Was he here to mediate?
In the midst of radiant, blazing light, golden brilliance surged like a vast ocean, boundless as the sea. The Emperor of Humanity stood at the center, like a true dragon, looking down upon the world with pride.
