"The fall of the Kunpeng, a peerless powerhouse of endless ages, is truly a pity. Its strongest divine ability is now lost to the world," the Willow Deity sighed.
It was rooted in the void, its charred and thick trunk towering into the sky. With the gentle breeze, chaos stirred, and the dozen or so green willow branches swayed lightly, as if returning to the era of the opening of the heavens.
"There should be no mistake. If the Kunpeng's treasure technique still exists in the world, it will be in that sea region," the Willow Deity said thoughtfully.
"Can I go then?" the Little One asked hopefully.
"Go ahead. It’s worth a try," the Willow Deity responded affirmatively.
"Great!" The Little One did a somersault in sheer joy, incredibly excited. His longing to witness such a peerless divine ability was finally coming true.
He recounted the recent events in detail, leaving nothing out for the Willow Deity to judge. After all, this time he would be traveling with beings from the Ancient Divine Mountain, which was very dangerous.
"In that realm, you can deal with him," the Willow Deity said calmly after learning that the old man had intended to deal with the Little One.
The Little One was stunned. The seemingly peaceful Willow Deity spoke with such dominance, and yet it was an ancient powerhouse from the Divine Mountain. It spoke with calm indifference.
"Fortunately, he changed his mind," the Willow Deity said.
Had the Little One not broken through to the Tenth Heaven and caused the old man to change his mind, a bloody battle might have occurred, one that would have certainly shocked the world.
The wind blew, and mist filled the air. The Willow Deity stood isolated in this vast ruin, its charred ancient tree body and emerald green, crystalline branches shrouded in a mysterious haze.
"Willow Deity, I have opened the Tenth Heaven. Do I still need a baptism?" the Little One asked excitedly, sharing his happiness.
"You are impressive, beyond my expectations," the Willow Deity genuinely praised. It had originally planned to help the Little One with his baptism, but did not expect him to break through on his own.
This was indeed rare in ancient times. Generally, when young supremes broke through, they would have powerful guardians assisting them due to the great dangers involved.
The Little One, coming from a wild path and breaking through with sheer force in the Void Realm, was indeed an anomaly.
"Go and agree to his request. The sooner you go, the sooner you return. Next, I will perform the baptism for you," the Willow Deity instructed.
The Little One, thrilled, shouted loudly and rushed through the golden passage back to that realm to meet the old man.
"He’s back again," people exclaimed in surprise, seeing the Little One return so quickly. Those who were about to disperse stopped in their tracks, showing astonishment.
"Back so soon? It seems you’ve made the right decision," the old man said with a relieved smile.
"I haven’t agreed yet," the Little One said, sitting on the dragon’s back.
The unfortunate dragon, a pure-blooded creature, not only nearly got eaten by the Little One today but also became his personal seat, leaving the onlookers speechless.
"Do you have any other demands?" the old man asked.
"Help me break the strange symbol inside this dragon," the Little One said.
"Don’t even think about it. The dragon bears the taboo symbol of its kind. You should have figured it out by now. Touching it would cause it to explode, and even a god couldn’t help," the old man shook his head.
The Little One’s idea of using the dragon’s treasure technique was bound to come to nothing.
"Alas, that region is too dangerous. I will help you open a passage, but I have no means to protect myself. How can I dare to go?" he said with a worried expression.
The old man’s smile froze. He knew the Little One was trying to extort divine abilities and treasure bones.
"I risk my life for you, yet I cannot ensure my safety. It’s too cold-hearted," the Little One shook his head.
"What do you want then?" the old man asked.
"Your clan’s treasure techniques," the Little One said quickly as the old man’s face darkened. "You definitely won’t give it."
"Unless your clan is destroyed," the old man replied.
"Nothing else. Just lend me one of those protective arms. One will do," the Little One said.
"Even if I give it to you, you won’t be able to take it out of the Void Realm," the old man said with a grim expression.
"I just want to borrow it for a look. Isn’t that a modest request?" the Little One said calmly.
He naturally did not trust the old man. If he were to go out to sea and lose his value, he might be killed immediately. Despite informing the Willow Deity, he still wanted to secure some leverage.
"After you return from overseas, I will take back the protective arm," the Little One said.
The old man frowned. It was really a tough situation. If the Little One died, and the protective arm was not in the Void Realm, it would be lost unless his soul could be quickly drawn back.
But that was very difficult.
That sea region was extremely dangerous. If he were to suddenly die, it would be too late to retrieve the arm.
No need to think further; the beings coming from that region would not be weak. They all came from forbidden places like the Divine Mountain, ensuring fierce battles that would likely turn the sea red with blood.
"You’re not planning to kill me after opening the passage, are you?" the Little One teased.
"Alas, even my descendants going in don’t know if they will survive. You really are putting me in a difficult position," the old man shook his head.
"Then I won’t go. Why go to seek death?" the Little One said firmly.
For a moment, the atmosphere was tense, and both sides fell into silence.
"Fine, I’ll lend you a protective arm," the old man nodded, eventually handing over a piece of treasure.
The Little One took it calmly, but his heart surged. The Kunpeng’s treasure techniques were indeed astonishing, causing ancient ferocious beasts to emerge and fight for it at all costs.
"Grandpa, this precious treasure must not be lost," the girl in purple reminded, showing her anxiousness.
"Really stingy, still so fat after growing old," the Little One muttered.
"You’re the one who’s fat," the girl replied.
The Little One quickly put on the protective arm and felt a sudden surge of power in his left arm, as if he could pierce through the sky. However, it was soon restrained here, as the realm suppressed his breakthrough to the Tenth Heaven.
Then, with a serious expression and a hint of sadness, the Little One secretly sent a message, transforming into a pair of male and female figures to have the old man reveal their whereabouts. This was a prerequisite for him to go out to sea. If it couldn’t be done, he would back out.
The old man was stunned. This was truly troublesome.
The Little One’s eyes turned red, determined and resolute, demanding that he comply without leaking any information.
In the end, the old man compromised and agreed to the request.
"Since that’s the case, we have an agreement. You have completed the Tenth Heaven and can enter the next realm of spiritual transformation at any time. We will wait for you," the old man said, standing up to leave.
"Old man, don’t go! Let’s talk some more and give some guidance to the junior," the Little One urged.
"I have other matters," the old man said, not wanting to stay a moment longer. After being beaten by a Little One, his face darkened, and he didn’t want to look at him any further.
"What to do with this dragon? Eat it?" the Little One scratched his head, drinking some broth. He felt a surge of vital energy within, with powerful uses.
Though in the Void Realm, where everything was a manifestation of spirit, it simulated reality and had similar effects, demonstrating the fearsome power of the gods.
"Hand over this little dragon to me. When you go to that sea region, you might need to work together," the old man said.
"It attacked me for no reason and became a prisoner. If I let it go like this, won’t everyone feel emboldened to come after me?" the Little One refused to let the dragon go.
"This is a descendant of a certain Ancient Divine Mountain," the old man reminded.
The Little One glanced sideways and said, "So beings from the Ancient Divine Mountain can act recklessly? If they want to kill me, they should be prepared to be eaten."
"What do you want?"
"Exchange it for divine techniques or treasures," the Little One said matter-of-factly.
The old man’s forehead broke into a sweat. This kid really was infuriating, making people want to explode with anger, but he couldn’t deal with him.
"It wanted to kill me. Old man, do you expect me to let it go happily after capturing it?" the Little One sneered.
"That’s not right. As the saying goes, one must fight to know each other. My young master will go to sea with you and look after each other. A smile now could erase past grievances and form a bond of goodwill."
Two tall, dazzling figures appeared. They had human forms but were covered entirely in golden fur, with numerous runes. They were two golden beasts, known as divine servants.
In the distance, everyone was shocked. It was no wonder the Ancient Divine Mountain was so formidable; who could compare to such powerful servants?
The Little One shook his head and said, "If everyone comes to attack me and then tells me we can form a bond, I might as well commit suicide. Such a life is too bleak."
"I’ll leave first," the old man said, turning to leave without stopping. He believed the Little One wouldn’t kill the dragon; he just wanted to extort something, and someone would end up paying a heavy price.
The two golden beasts hurriedly performed a grand bow, respectfully seeing the old man and the girl in purple off.
Although the two golden beasts were servants, they were from the Ancient Divine Mountain and held an exceptional status with an innate sense of power, confidence, and dominance.
"Young man, we acknowledge your strength, but the Ancient Divine Mountain is not weak either," one of the golden beasts reminded.
"Are you threatening me?" The Little One stepped forward, raising his hand. Golden runes filled the air, ready to suppress the two fierce beasts.
From afar, the onlookers were awed. This fierce child was indeed formidable and fearless, treating the so-called divine servants as mere subordinates.
"Alright, we are willing to redeem the young master," the two beasts said nervously. The Little One had even beaten the distinguished old man. If they didn’t act wisely, they might end up being devoured by this fierce child showing his sharp little teeth.
In the end, the Little One was somewhat satisfied. He received an ancient Thunder Dao technique, mysterious and profound. When used, it would unleash terrifying thunderous light.
Unfortunately, the technique was incomplete, which left him somewhat disappointed.
In the stone village, a gentle breeze blew. The great willow tree glowed with radiance and emitted auspicious light, with chaotic mist swirling around, mysterious and elusive.
The Little One had been back for half a month. During this time, the Willow Deity had been performing the same rituals daily, as if preparing for something very solemn, with brilliance flowing like water.
This was surprising. The Willow Deity seemed very serious.
"The world is about to be thrown into chaos. I need to prepare as well. This time, it’s not just about giving you a baptism; I must also undergo a transformation," the Willow Deity explained.
At the same time, the Willow Deity pointed out that the Kunpeng treasure technique was known as a peerless divine ability from ancient times. It was hard to predict what kind of beings it might attract. It needed further transformation and healing to cope with it.
Even a powerful being like the Willow Deity wanted to acquire such a world-shaking treasure.
More than one person had said that this world was about to be thrown into great disorder, which made the Little One’s heart heavy. He felt increasingly urgent and hoped to become stronger quickly.
