The small world was about to open, and with that, the dangers would intensify. The natives would enter their final frenzied hunt, seeking to reap blood sacrifices.
The exit was destined to be a blood-soaked battlefield, where powerful figures would likely lie in ambush, unleashing a massacre.
Although the exit was large and hard to defend, it was still filled with peril. No genius would dare be careless; all were conserving their strength for what was to come.
That night was calm. Almost all of Little One’s group broke through their limits, gaining immense benefits. As the jade rabbit sank from the sky, a firelight glowed on the horizon as the golden crow rose.
The divine carpet flew forward, and everyone behaved cautiously, refraining from seeking further opportunities. The closer they got to the final moments, the more careful they had to be. A single misstep could lead to their complete annihilation.
Sure enough, slaughter was everywhere—through the mountains and across the plains. The natives went on a rampage, chasing down countless geniuses, leading to a massive bloodbath.
In this small world, there were many humanoid natives roaring across the land, spewing clouds and mist. They were even more savage than fierce beasts. These were not humans; some had horns, others wings.
Many young geniuses were killed, too young and undeveloped in their cultivation, while the natives were unrestrained, ancient and powerful beings.
These fallen geniuses were once the pride of their clans. However, in this place where heroes gathered and powerful figures from all races competed, their brilliance was dulled.
The death rate was extremely high. Up until now, more than 80% of the participants had perished, leaving less than 20% as survivors.
Along the way, the ground was stained with blood, and they had witnessed far too much slaughter, leaving them in solemn silence.
Several times, Little One leaped from the void beast hide to assist some of the weaker individuals, but this was of little use. The larger trend could not be stopped; this world was destined to be one bathed in blood.
“Hmm, people from the Rain Clan.”
By noon, the sun was high in the sky. As they passed by a large marsh, the sharp-eyed red bird spotted two figures—one a middle-aged man, the other an elderly figure with graying hair. It was none other than Yu Kun and Yu Cheng.
“It’s really them,” said the nine-headed lion, its eyes narrowing. Without waiting for Little One to speak, the recently ascended lion leapt from the divine carpet, charging toward the two men. The Rain Clan had once attacked Little One and nearly caused the lion’s death.
Yu Kun and Yu Cheng were anxious. They had lingered in this small world for too long. As powerful sealers, their strength was considerable, but they didn’t want to die in such a humiliating manner here.
So far, aside from Yu Zimo, who had gone to seek out Shi Yi, most of their younger generation had died in battle. This weighed heavily on them—they had no idea how they would explain this to their clan upon returning.
Golden radiance surged as the nine-headed lion swooped down, startling the two men. In the short time since they had last seen it, this ancient beast’s strength had grown considerably.
“I'm here too!” The red bird shouted boastfully, flapping its wings and brandishing its black cauldron as it charged forward.
The fierce battle began. The two Rain Clan experts were shocked to find that they were not gaining the upper hand.
Other powerful beings from the Three-Eyed Race, the Five-Colored Luan Bird, the Purple Mink, and the Fire Crow all advanced. Yu Kun and Yu Cheng grew increasingly uneasy. Their hearts sank when they saw Little One and Huo Ling’er walking together, followed by several other sealers. They realized they were in serious trouble.
“There’s nothing more to say. Time to send you on your way,” said Little One.
“You court death!” The two felt the crushing pressure. They knew they couldn’t fight against so many people and were certain to die. In desperation, they made the ruthless decision to unseal their powers and launch an attack.
“Boom!”
Little One stepped forward, wielding the broken sword and slashing toward them. The endless waves of sword energy blocked their path. The two shrieked, not daring to resist, for this was a sacred weapon left behind by the saints.
They tumbled backward, retreating at full speed.
But it was too late for them. Once they lifted their seals, they could only launch a few strikes before the rules of the small world would respond.
Now that they had retreated, there wasn’t enough time for them to launch another attack. The broken sword shone brightly, and the sword aura surged like an ocean, forcing them to keep retreating.
“Boom!”
In the sky, a blood-red beam of light descended. Both men screamed, terror written across their faces.
“No!”
It was a scarlet chain of divine order, resembling lightning but not quite the same, slicing through the sky and cutting them in half. Their bodies then exploded into dust, turning into ashes.
“Horrifying…”
Everyone’s faces changed. The power of the small world’s rules was terrifyingly strong. It had shattered the two completely, leaving nothing behind.
The sealers accompanying Huo Ling’er paled with fear. This was too dangerous. The chain of divine order had appeared right in front of them.
The only thing they could be grateful for was that they hadn’t used their full power and therefore hadn’t triggered the small world’s wrath. For now, they remained unnoticed.
Two hours later, Little One led the nine-headed lion, the red bird, the purple mink, and a group of ancient species in a wild chase. They had encountered survivors from the four great clans, and it was clear that those who remained alive were all sealers.
How quickly the tables had turned. Not long ago, they had all wanted to kill the brat and had ganged up to chase him. Now, the roles were reversed, and they were the ones being hunted.
“When we leave this small world, you’re dead!” Some of the hunted began to grow desperate.
“Too bad for you. You won’t get the chance to send the message. You won’t live to see that day.”
Their fate was sealed. Several were slain. Others unsealed their powers, only to meet the same end, killed by the small world’s rules.
“Sigh, being invincible in this world is not a pleasant feeling. It’s so lonely, like snow falling on a desolate day,” lamented the red bird, shaking its head.
“The Monkey King is coming,” cried the divine striking stone.
With a sudden leap, the red bird took to the skies, wings spread as if to flee, but seeing that everyone else remained calm, it realized it had been fooled.
“Roar!”
Suddenly, an ear-splitting roar echoed from the distance. A massive golden creature, towering as high as the mountains, was stomping toward them, shaking the earth and cracking the land, glowing with a dazzling light.
“The monkey is really here this time,” everyone exclaimed in shock, retreating onto the divine carpet and hiding within the void.
“What’s it planning to do?”
“Oh no, the Monkey King is enraged! It lost two sacred herbs and now intends to block the exit, unleashing a bloodbath. This will be a terrifying and brutal affair.”
The Monkey King was injured. In a recent battle, it had defeated a group of powerful figures but had not emerged unscathed. What enraged it most was the loss of two sacred trees and divine liquor.
The old flood dragon and golden-winged roc were either dead or seriously injured. Those who survived gathered defensively, fearing they would be picked off one by one, unwilling to challenge the Monkey King again.
“No one will escape!” the Monkey King’s furious roar shook the mountains, sending a sense of doom rippling through everyone.
“Is this it? Are we all going to die here?” some despaired.
With such a king blocking the exit, how could anyone get through? No number of people would be enough.
“A few pure-blooded beings might have a chance. They possess supreme treasures and might be able to carve out a path.”
Before long, the entire small world was aware of the situation. The news spread like wildfire—the enraged Monkey King was about to unleash a massacre. Fear gripped everyone.
“This damn monkey’s gotten too strong. If I jump out now, it’ll probably eat me in one bite,” muttered the featherless strange bird.
“What did you say?” asked the red bird.
“You’re all leaving, but can I stay in this world? I don’t want to leave,” the featherless strange bird replied.
"No, we share both blessings and hardships. You are my little brother, how could I abandon you?" The big red bird glanced sideways at it, clearly unwilling to let it go.
The featherless bird was filled with tears. Such a small bird dared to call it a little brother—utterly ridiculous.
Crunch
As the sun once again rose from the horizon, the small world shook, becoming unstable as if it was about to crack, with waves of chaotic energy surging.
Boom
Finally, a massive portal opened, connecting to the outside world.
A green light shot up—it was a powerful emerald bird, the first to attempt an escape.
The Monkey King, towering like a mountain, guarded the portal. With a single finger, it pressed down, and with a puff, blood splattered as the strong emerald bird was instantly crushed.
"I told you, no one can escape."
"Everyone charge together! The portal is so big, can it really block us all?" someone shouted.
But no one was willing to be the first.
However, the portal's open time was limited. Once it closed, anyone left behind would be sealed in the small world for hundreds of years before they could attempt to leave again.
Finally, the tension and unease spread. Many could no longer wait as time slipped away, unsure when the portal would suddenly shut.
"Charge!"
"Everyone forward!"
A large group of creatures, densely packed, roared and rushed toward the giant gate. As they approached, they scattered, trying to break through.
The Monkey King sneered, revealing its sharp fangs, and let out a massive roar toward the group. Instantly, dazzling light flew, and thunder rumbled.
The sound was like a divine blast, and the crowd coughed up blood. They staggered and retreated, while some outright exploded, their bodies and souls obliterated.
The survivors were gravely injured, bleeding from their ears, their heads splitting with pain, and their bodies trembling uncontrollably.
Bang
A huge foot came down. After using its vast powers, the Monkey King grew even taller. When its foot stomped down, the earth cracked, and runes spread out, crushing the survivors into a bloody pulp, unable to withstand its violent attack.
Everyone gasped in shock. In just one mass slaughter, at least a hundred geniuses had perished, which was a great pity.
Time passed, and the area became quiet. The Monkey King stood, baring its fangs, guarding the portal. No one could pass.
Buzz
A pure-blooded creature launched an attack. The Bi Fang activated its treasure, creating a golden passage. It turned into a stream of light and flew toward the exit, trying to escape.
The Monkey King roared, and a giant golden spear appeared in its hand. With a booming sound, the golden passage exploded, and the Bi Fang coughed up blood, failing to break through.
It didn't dare linger and quickly retreated back into the small world.
For the next two hours, countless creatures attempted to break through the barrier, but all failed. Even the pure-blooded beings could not succeed.
This made everyone anxious. If the small world closed, they would be trapped like fish in a barrel, with no way out for hundreds of years.
The area became chaotic as more and more tried to force their way through, but they all failed.
Half a day passed, with endless death and destruction. Not a single creature made it through, and everyone was becoming frantic.
"I said, no one can leave! You will all die here!" The Monkey King roared, standing like a golden mountain blocking the exit.
"Is that so? Do you really think you can control this small world and do as you please?" At that moment, a calm voice rang out.
"Who is it?" The Monkey King was startled. This person was terrifying, possessing immense power that made even him feel a chill.
"You should step aside before it's too late," the voice said calmly, carrying a magnetic tone, seemingly belonging to a middle-aged man.
The Monkey King quickly turned toward the giant gate. Outside the exit, chaotic energy swirled, making it hard to see through, as it was a very long passage.
"You're outside this world, yet you can interfere with matters here? Who are you?"
"He's the Human Emperor!" someone exclaimed in shock.
"It truly is His Majesty!" Several of the seal holders on the divine carpet were astonished.
Fire Spirit's large eyes sparkled with joy, and she smiled happily. With the Human Emperor personally arriving, there was no longer anything to worry about. They had even planned to sneak out, but now there was no need to take that risk.
"Human Emperor, you may reign supreme outside, but you cannot enter this ancient small world. What can you do to me?" the Monkey King shouted.
"Stop this nonsense, or you'll bring disaster upon yourself," the Human Emperor's voice was calm.
"Do you really think you can interfere with this small world?" The Monkey King sneered, refusing to believe the other could reach him across worlds.
However, with a thunderous boom, a massive golden wave crashed down, sending the Monkey King flying, blood spraying from his mouth.
