Chapter 170: The Nine Caverns of Heaven

Chapter 170: The Nine Caverns of Heaven

The black cauldron glowed, and a Golden-Winged Roc took form, its radiance surging as it floated in midair, emitting a rumbling Dao sound, akin to the chanting of deities.

The Roc was resplendent, golden threads cascading from its body. These were golden symbols, flooding the area.

A rich fragrance surged out, the meat in the cauldron was golden and gleaming with a sacred brilliance. The scent of the monkey head mushrooms, red orchids, and snow jade ginseng filled the air. The broth was thick, crystal-clear, and glowing.

This was no longer just a pot of gourmet food; it had become a cauldron of precious medicine, capable of making even the strongest tremble in awe. Who could ever witness someone eating a Golden-Winged Roc?

"It's ready!" Little Dot (Xiao Budian) shouted, the first to dig in. He picked up a piece of Roc meat and placed it in his mouth. It was as if he had swallowed a miniature sun, with golden divine light bursting out.

"So delicious, it's melting my tongue!" Little Dot was immersed in the taste, savoring the tender, radiant Roc meat as divine light danced before his eyes. He closed his eyes, feeling waves of energy rushing through his body.

In the next moment, golden beams of light seemed to flow in and out of his nose and mouth, streams of divine essence from the Roc. They moved with his breath, circulating within him.

Then, his chopsticks moved swiftly, sending more pieces of the glistening Roc meat, drenched in thick broth, into his mouth. The meat melted instantly, releasing rays of brilliance, and divine light flowed from his seven orifices.

The group scrambled to grab more. Fortunately, the black cauldron was a magical artifact that could expand, and they had stewed nearly half of the Roc, so there was plenty of food.

There was still a large portion left, which Little Dot planned to take back to Stone Village.

Everyone started eating, completely enchanted. They wished they could swallow their tongues along with the meat. Their bodies were radiant, and they praised the dish endlessly. This was Roc meat, reputed to be one of the most delicious and rare delicacies.

The roasted meats were also ready, their texture tender and glowing brightly. They had been brushed with honey, a special wild honey found in a small world. Neither Little Dot nor Huo Ling’er (Fire Spirit Girl) cared about manners as they devoured the food, their mouths dripping with oil.

"This is like living in the heavens!" Little Dot said blissfully, lifting a luminous cup from the white jade table. The liquor inside was as clear as amber, sparkling brightly, with an overpowering fragrance.

He downed it in one gulp, feeling a rich and lingering taste from his mouth to his throat and into his stomach, leaving him glowing all over.

This was an unparalleled elixir, brewed by the divine monkey from dozens of rare medicinal herbs. Every drop was worth a fortune, something that would make even nobles and kings become willing drunkards.

Little Dot had never been a drinker before, but now he was addicted to this feeling. He continued eating Roc meat and roasted wings while drinking the liquor. He felt a little dizzy, his body and mind utterly relaxed, as though he were floating, forgetting all past grievances and hatred.

"What a great drink, such a great drink!"

The others couldn’t wait any longer. The legendary Monkey Wine was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. They’d rather skip the Roc meat than miss out on such divine wine, so they all raised their cups.

One of the sealers drank eagerly, downing a cup in one go, and before he could savor the taste, he hastily drank two more cups. Instantly, he collapsed, completely drunk, snoring loudly.

The others weren’t deterred and followed suit. Soon, two more sealers fell, their bodies glowing, surrounded by the intoxicating aura, unable to wake up.

Aside from Little Dot, no one could drink more than a few cups without passing out.

Clearly, it wasn’t just the alcohol but also the powerful medicinal properties that, once released, would cause a deep sleep, washing their bodies with vital energy, pushing them toward transformation.

"Great wine, great wine!" Little Dot drank cup after cup, a total of twelve. His face turned red, like a large apple, and his eyes grew hazy.

He had already eaten half the pot of Roc meat and consumed tiger bone soup, making his body radiant. Now, with this Monkey Wine, it was as if he had ignited an explosive. His entire body glowed brilliantly, as though he were on fire.

By the time Little Dot had drunk eighteen cups, he was entirely enveloped in flames, his aura surging skyward. Of course, these weren’t real flames but the essence of his refined energy and spirit, emerging from his body.

“We can’t let him stay on the Void Beast hide any longer. His physical strength is too overwhelming; he might cause terrible destruction here,” one of the sealers said.

Everyone was startled awake, watching as strange phenomena appeared around Little Dot. He resembled a phoenix bathed in flames, a truly astonishing sight.

"One more cup!"

He kept drinking, his body radiating a fragrance that intoxicated everyone. His body was flawless, glowing like a divine embryo.

In the end, he drank thirty-six cups, ate the remaining Roc meat and tiger bone soup, and even consumed a pile of spiritual herbs as if they were mere vegetables.

"Boom!"

At last, something changed within him. His energy surged, piercing the heavens. Little Dot knew he was about to break through. Though he was dizzy and tipsy, his consciousness remained clear, and he leaped off the divine rug.

A deafening crash followed as he smashed a mountain peak, causing many fierce beasts and birds to flee in terror.

On the ground, nine volcanoes erupted with bubbling magma, radiating various colors of light. Huge boulders and ancient trees floated like driftwood on the sea, swaying before shattering.

In the midst of that mountainous region, a boy sat cross-legged. The nine "volcanoes" had been triggered by him, resembling real caves that connected with the vast world, drawing upon its creation.

"The Nine Caverns of Heaven!"

In the sky, atop the Void Beast hide, several sealers shouted in shock. This was too astonishing. A realm only recorded in ancient texts had been broken through by this boy, and the scene unfolding was beyond belief.

The Nine-Headed Lion and the others also marveled but weren’t as shocked. They had long suspected that this human boy was an anomaly among his kind, a match for true beasts like the Taotie, Hundun, and others—a true human-shaped ferocious beast.

The human race had grown weak over time, and the Nine Caverns of Heaven were rarely seen. It had only ever been recorded in ancient texts, almost like a myth. But now, someone had truly achieved it.

"Humans are strange. The disparity in their individual strength is enormous. Some are as fragile as paper, while others can reach this level," even the featherless strange bird murmured. It had eaten some of the Roc meat and divine medicine and drank a few cups of Monkey Wine, feeling rejuvenated and in decent shape.

"You don’t understand the world of ferocious children," the red bird sneered. No one knew Little Dot’s terrifying potential better than it did, especially after he had refined the True Water of Taiyi.

“How strong can he be?” the featherless bird asked.

“You’ll see in time,” the red bird replied, giving the featherless one a slap on the back of the head. “Second Baldy, don’t embarrass me. You’re my little brother, so you better train hard. Looking this weak is truly shameful.”

The featherless bird trembled with rage. Damn it, this bird dared treat it like this? If it weren’t for its physical condition, it would’ve beaten the red bird to a pulp and shown it what true respect meant.

"What’s wrong, Second Baldy? You still not convinced?" the red bird glared at it.

“I’ll bear it,” the featherless bird muttered, swallowing its anger and venting its frustration by devouring a golden sheep leg in a few vicious bites.

Flashing symbols appeared, as the nine volcanoes spewed symbols into the air, floating in the magma. The sight was breathtaking.

“He’s succeeded, he’s comprehending the symbols,” said Fire Spirit Girl.

Time passed, and finally, Little Dot’s body emitted clanging sounds as the nine caverns trembled.

Brilliant light erupted, as the symbols transformed into a river of stars, swirling around him.

The scene grew increasingly mysterious and astounding. Eventually, even creatures like peacocks, Qiongqi, Bai Ze, Suan Ni, Chiwen, Bixi, and Golden-Winged Rocs, all in the form of symbols, emerged from the volcanoes.

"What is he comprehending? This is incredible!" At this moment, everyone was awestruck, even Second Baldy, who dropped the leg of lamb and stared, eyes wide.

“How powerful! I think this time if he encounters a pureblood creature again, he'll most likely achieve his goal—subduing one to guard his village gate,” said the red bird.

“What kind of symbol is this? It looks strange, very primitive and powerful,” the featherless bird murmured.

Little Stone forgot everything, his mind filled only with the Original True Understanding. These were not treasure techniques, just bone symbols, yet they evolved the most fundamental and primal force.

He was deeply immersed, as if transformed into a Kunpeng, leaping out of the sea and soaring nine thousand miles into the sky, battling gods.

Then, he seemed to become a Zhen, rampaging across the land, worshipped as a deity, invincible, protecting ancient kingdoms.

Soon, he felt like he became a Taotie, devouring everything, fierce and unstoppable, even consuming gods without hesitation.

Zhuque, Chilong, Biyan, Pixiu—he sensed the symbols of all of them, as if he had transformed into these ancient, powerful deities.

Little Stone was completely absorbed, forgetting all else. In his mind, the imagery of the War God Atlas appeared, intricate and endless, as various symbolic mysteries surged toward him.

His mastery of symbols was increasing. After opening the ninth heavenly cave, the benefits were enormous, as if breaking through shackles, revealing a whole new world, completely different from before.

After a long while, the nine caves retracted, and the symbols submerged into his body. Little Stone opened his eyes and couldn't help but let out a long howl, shaking the surrounding mountains, making them tremble and rumble.

“There you are! Where do you think you’re going?”

A roar came from afar—it was Zhujian, a creature with a human face and a leopard’s body, covered in black scales. It turned into a black light and charged over, causing sand and stones to fly along the way.

Little Stone was unafraid, rushing forward to meet it head-on, using symbols to fight back. With a wave of his hand, a cascade of lightning surged forth, slamming into Zhujian. With a loud crack, Zhujian screamed in pain, trembling as its entire body was scorched black.

It was alarmed. It had come after hearing the commotion, only to see that this human boy had broken through. Not only was his physical body strong, but his mastery of symbols had caught up as well.

Little Stone rushed forward with ease. With a sweeping palm, silver light filled the sky, pouring down like a torrential rain, knocking Zhujian over.

The two engaged in fierce combat, fighting intensely.

Zhujian, having had its tail severed by the Monkey King, was already severely wounded, now struggling to contend with Little Stone. Realizing its disadvantage, it swiftly turned to flee, intending to recover and return for another battle to kill the human boy.

“Where do you think you're going?” Little Stone pursued, eventually jumping onto its back, sitting atop it, trying to tame it.

Zhujian roared in anger, using the ancient treasures of its race, causing Little Stone to cough up blood. He quickly used the broken sword to defend himself. Between them, light flashed like two suns stuck together.

People were astonished. The fierce boy was indeed defying the heavens, attempting to subdue the offspring of a primordial beast.

With a swift move, Little Stone sliced off a chunk of Zhujian’s flesh, several pounds of it, enraging the beast. Its ancient treasure ignited, symbols surging like a vast ocean.

At the same time, a dragon’s roar came from the distance. A Chilong appeared, charging toward them, casting a massive net to capture Little Stone.

“You want to replace Zhujian as my steed? Come guard my village?” Little Stone was furious, slicing off another chunk of Zhujian’s flesh and storing it in his spatial pouch. Then, with a powerful stomp, he leaped forward, brandishing the broken sword to face the Chilong.

However, before they could truly fight to the death, the mountains began to shake. A massive monkey appeared—the ruler of this pure land, using the technique of heaven and earth transformation. Its body was as vast as a great mountain, reaching out to grab them.

The Chilong and Zhujian quickly used the treasures passed down from their primordial sacred mountains and fled at great speed, disappearing in an instant.

Little Stone remained wary. No matter how strong he was, he wouldn’t recklessly challenge the Monkey King, as its realm was terrifyingly high, far beyond his ability to contend with.

With a tap of his shrinking symbol, he too vanished in a flash.

Eventually, he returned to the divine carpet. After a moment of meditation, the nine heavenly caves roared, and his body instantly recovered to its peak condition.

“Such good wine,” he muttered. The world of a mischievous child was hard for others to understand. Moments ago, he was in the midst of battle, but now he had transformed into a little wine lover, his face flushed with joy.

While others would collapse after a few drinks, he remained unharmed, drinking under the moon, feeling pleasantly tipsy. It was a beautiful sensation.

That night, the red bird, the nine-headed lion, the purple mink, and others all experienced remarkable transformations. Even Fire Linger had undergone significant growth, as if reborn.

Almost every creature in the group had made breakthroughs. The Void Beast Hide shone brilliantly, dazzling with its radiant glow.

“Boom!”

The entire small world trembled violently, breaking the night’s tranquility, startling everyone.

“The exit is about to open. In at most two days, or as little as one, we can leave,” the Sealer said excitedly.

“We're leaving? I feel reluctant,” Little Stone said wistfully, finding this ancient little world far too interesting.

The others exchanged glances, speechless. This abnormal child—while everyone else was relieved, letting out a sigh of relief, he had treated this place like a paradise.

“Sigh, I'm not happy. I haven’t even caught a divine bird or pureblood beast yet,” Little Stone sighed.

No one had any words left to say.
