Chapter 191: Divine Rain

Chapter 191: Divine Rain

Inside and outside the Celestial Pavilion, the sounds of battle were deafening. All beings were surging forward, seeking to claim this opportunity. Whether it was the Scripture Pavilion or the Spiritual Herb Field, both had become battlegrounds, stained with blood.

“The Scripture Pavilion is empty! The scriptures have long been taken away. Hunt down their top leaders; they must have secret manuals on them!” roared a giant silver crocodile.

It was dozens of meters long, its silver scales shining brilliantly. It swung its massive body, its claws tearing through the ground, sending giant rocks flying, like a demonic king of unparalleled power.

The disciples of the Heaven Mending Pavilion were being obstructed, and numerous forces attacked together. Since they had already made their move, they were now enemies, and the safest course was to wipe them out entirely.

As the walls crumbled, everyone piled in. Various races, countless beings, all came to carve up the divine treasures of the Heaven Mending Pavilion, intent on looting everything.

Naturally, there were old enemies as well, such as the ancient Tuoba Clan, which had opposed the Heaven Mending Pavilion since antiquity, and the Xiling Beast Mountain, whose attacks were especially fierce and merciless. Runes filled the sky, pressing down as they struck, every attack aiming for lethal damage.

“This is too much!” Lei Zu Muyan’s eyes were bloodshot. He had just finished off an old rival, his own body bleeding, and once again charged into the midst of the enemy.

“Boom!”

A massive lightning bolt shot out, so dense that it plunged into the crowd with a thunderous roar. Immediately, those vicious beings of various races screamed, as dozens of powerful figures were turned to ash.

With just one strike, the area was cleared. All the beings in that zone fell to the ground, their bodies charred black, bones broken, flesh turned to mush.

“The old man is too powerful! Attack him together and kill him!” someone shouted.

With a buzz, Muyan flew through the air, and a lightning bolt struck down. The person who had spoken was instantly blown apart, reduced to a shower of shattered bones and blood.

Ferocious and dominant, Muyan’s strength was unmatched as he charged through the crowd, rescuing his trapped disciples one by one and helping them break through the encirclement.

“Roar!”

Nearby, the silver crocodile lunged, its razor-sharp claws slashing out beams of light, shattering a stone mountain as it struck toward Muyan’s back.

“Bang!”

Muyan turned and clashed with the creature head-on. Electric sparks intertwined, and the silver crocodile’s body trembled violently. However, its scales, which were as strong as powerful treasures, deflected most of the electric charge, and it continued to press down, its mouth spitting out divine light formed from runes to slay its enemy.

At the same time, two more figures rushed in. Both were patriarch-level figures from great sects, rarely seen in the world. Yet here they were, attacking Muyan together.

“You vile opportunists, all of you must die!”

Lei Zu raged. His fiery temper and overwhelming might could not tolerate such despicable behavior. He attacked with full force, engaging them in a fierce battle.

A sphere of purple lightning appeared, like a string of gleaming purple pearls, sweeping through the sky with a blinding light.

At first, people didn’t think much of it, but soon fear set in. The two patriarchs’ faces turned pale as they desperately retreated. One of them coughed up blood, burning his essence to increase his speed and escape.

The string of purple spheres exploded with overwhelming power, the strongest lightning blast cleaving the silver crocodile’s flesh, leaving its treasure-like scales in ruins.

Even the two fleeing patriarchs in the distance were hit hard, their bodies torn open, charred, barely surviving the ordeal.

The silver crocodile was furious. As the leader of its clan, one of the strongest of its kind, it had suffered a huge defeat here.

It stood upright, its silver-white radiance burning brightly like a god, runes forming an ocean as it pressed forward, determined to crush Muyan.

“Ten Stars Align!”

Lei Zu stood solemnly, shouting as ten purple spheres of light flew into the air, connecting in a line. They then ignited a massive, sun-like orb that exploded in front of the crocodile.

“Boom!”

The area was engulfed in intense brightness, rendering everything invisible. This was Muyan’s lightning law at work, with spherical lightning colliding to unleash unimaginable destructive power.

The silver crocodile’s runic barrage was shattered. Its body was drenched in blood, howling in agony, its entire hide peeling off.

This showed just how terrifyingly strong it was, for even such fierce lightning laws hadn’t instantly destroyed it.

A figure dashed forward—Lei Zu Muyan struck again, wielding the Thunder God Hammer, smashing it into the silver crocodile’s body, splitting it apart with electric energy.

Then, with a splattering sound, blood rained down as Muyan withdrew his treasure and tore the silver crocodile in half. Blood gushed out as its two halves collapsed to the ground.

This battle shocked everyone. Countless beings were gripped with fear. Although the Heaven Mending Pavilion was no longer as glorious as it once was, it certainly wasn’t lacking in powerful experts.

The outcome of this battle filled everyone with dread. In an instant, the battlefield was emptied as the powerful forces of various races fled, avoiding the blood-soaked, god-like Lei Zu Muyan.

On the other side, Elder Liu went berserk, fiercely battling a white tiger. His entire body glowed with golden runes, and his wings spread wide, slicing through the sky. With a single flap, thunder roared and wind howled.

“Golden Roc Wings!” The white tiger was shocked, feeling a coldness in its abdomen as blood gushed out, nearly severed by the golden wings.

“Kill!”

It roared, summoning a dozen silver-white spears, forged from its own fangs, terrifying treasures that shot forward like beams of light.

With a buzz, Elder Liu moved with incredible speed. His golden wings flapped, swirling with runes, and with a crack, he severed all the spears.

“Walking the path of bodily sanctification, your body and your techniques are your strongest weapons.” The white tiger was stunned. Its opponent had no treasures, yet was even more fearsome.

Though Elder Liu’s body appeared aged and withered, his flesh was overwhelmingly powerful, combining perfectly with his techniques to become invincible.

The white tiger roared, unleashing sound waves like an ocean, chaotic runes swirling, submerging the area as it charged forward, metal energy radiating as it laid down a killing formation.

However, Elder Liu’s golden wings flared, disrupting the formation’s runes with a shower of golden light. He stomped the ground, shattering it with golden runes, momentarily disabling the formation.

“Kill!”

Elder Liu charged forward, his entire body turning golden, his fingers like a human-shaped Golden Roc as he clashed with the white tiger in a fl

Upon closer inspection, it was evident that some of the royal descendants from the Genius Camp, including the siblings Rain and Maple, were present. They were once disciples of Butian Pavilion, but now they were protected by their clans, fighting their way here to undergo a baptism.

Long ago, many major powers had suspected that the sacred spirit of Butian Pavilion was nearing its end, with little life left. Various clans began plotting to seize this opportunity for great fortune.

"Kill!"

Clearly, the forces that arrived late had lost the initiative and were unable to approach, as the area had already been claimed.

Conflict broke out, and beings from various clans engaged in battle, turning the area into a chaotic battlefield.

The princes and disciples who had earlier entered the Pure Land had already taken the lead, seizing some of the soil from the sacred spirit’s roots. They scattered it in different directions, using it to attract the rain of light from the heavens.

"The sacred vine is about to wither. This is its divine essence, drawn from the earth, destined to return to the land. This is an immense opportunity!"

People roared with excitement, their eyes turning red.

It was difficult for plant-based sacred spirits to cultivate, and many had made great oaths in their early stages to return to the earth from which they came. The land had nourished them, and when they died, they would transform into divine rain to be reclaimed by the vast wilderness.

Clearly, the ancient vine could not hold on any longer. Its form had withered, with leaves falling from the sky, dry and yellow, devoid of any green life or vitality.

It had been gravely wounded in the Nine Heavens, and its essence was dispersing. It could die at any moment.

"Sacred Spirit!"

The people of Butian Pavilion wept bitterly. The ancient vine that had protected them for endless years was about to fall in battle, filling them with deep sorrow.

"Go!"

A low, deep voice echoed from the Nine Heavens as a golden rift appeared. The vine tried for the seventh time to open a passage to move the people away.

However, divine light shone everywhere, and the attempt was once again blocked. The effort failed yet again.

"Sacred Spirit, don’t worry about us. We will break out on our own. Moreover, some of our disciples have already escaped through the passage you opened. One day, Butian Pavilion will rise again."

Butian Pavilion had built seven strongholds. Although three had been destroyed, four remained, and they represented hope.

"Do you really think those strongholds will survive? We've long since discovered them. Don't count on it," someone said coldly and mercilessly.

These words shook everyone in Butian Pavilion to their core. They trembled with rage and grief, feeling a deep sense of despair.

"I can feel it. A vibrant life force. This is a tremendous opportunity—my body is being baptized!"

Someone shouted as they held the soil from the sacred spirit’s roots, using it to draw down the heavenly rain, which fell upon them, filling them with warmth and comfort.

"Kill!"

Chaos reigned inside and outside Butian Pavilion, with everyone frantically rushing to seize the rain of light, eager for the baptism.

The raindrops fell like sacred flowers, crystal-clear and radiant, as if carrying the breath of divinity. This was a rare and immense opportunity.

The sounds of battle echoed incessantly as everyone fought desperately to claim the best position.

The strongest among the various clans fought fiercely, primarily for the sake of their younger generation. This divine rain was most effective for the young. While the older generation could also benefit, the effects were far less pronounced.

"Boom!"

Suddenly, a loud explosion echoed from the sky, and a burst of dazzling light erupted. The divine rain poured down even more densely.

The sacred spirit sighed softly, saying, "Goodbye. I can no longer protect you."

Its life was coming to an end, and it was about to return to the earth, becoming one with the soil.

"Sacred Spirit!"

Everyone in Butian Pavilion cried out in grief. Even the pavilion master, engaged in a bloody battle, wept uncontrollably. Was this truly the end?

The ancient vine had protected them since ancient times due to a promise. It had fought against divine beings and saints during the chaotic eras, sacrificing too much for them.

Throughout the endless years, it had shielded the Pure Land, saving them from countless calamities. From ancient times until now, it had never abandoned or left them.

Because of this, the ancient vine had suffered numerous grievous injuries; otherwise, it would have lived far longer.

Everyone in Butian Pavilion cried out in sorrow. The ancient vine had given so much, yet it was now about to perish, fighting until its last breath.

"Hahaha! Butian Pavilion is on the verge of destruction! While you bathe in the divine rain, celebrate and revel in madness! Let us slaughter everyone here and wipe out this Pure Land!" laughed an old monster from the Tuo Ba clan, his hair disheveled and drenched in blood—not his own, but that of many elders from Butian Pavilion. He was one of the most powerful beings of his clan.

"Exterminate them all, so there will be no future threats!" someone from Xiling Beast Mountain responded.

Even in this desperate situation, Butian Pavilion's people were blocked and attacked. The Tuo Ba family, Xiling Beast Mountain, and others were determined to leave no survivors, fearing future retaliation.

The eyes of Butian Pavilion’s disciples turned red with fury. These people were basking in the sacred spirit’s divine rain, undergoing a baptism, yet they still sought to massacre them. It was shameless and cruel beyond belief.

"A bunch of animals! Do you think Butian Pavilion has no one to defend it? The Fire Rhino Tribe has come to aid!" came a thunderous roar from the distance as a powerful warrior led a large group rushing forward, each of them glowing with radiant symbols, all of them experts.

"You’ve gone too far in bullying Butian Pavilion! We will repay this with blood. Lingwei Marquis has arrived to protect our Pure Land!" another voice roared, shaking the sky. Clearly, this was a terrifying figure, leading a large contingent to the battlefield.

People were shocked. This was a marquis, a man who had trained in Butian Pavilion a hundred years ago. He was a renowned figure in the Pure Land, and now he had returned to aid them.

"The leader of the Qishan Clan has arrived to defend our Pure Land!" another voice called out.

"The Chiyang Tribe has come to aid!"

"Marquis Lingtian has arrived! Those who violate our Pure Land will be killed without mercy!"

"The Battle King of the
