Chapter 113: True Form Revealed

Chapter 113: True Form Revealed

“Impossible? Hundreds of years ago, the descendants of the ancient races formed groups to enter. Among them were definitely some pure-blooded fierce beast cubs. Many people witnessed this with their own eyes, which shocked the world.”

“Why would anyone want to go there?” Little Dot still didn’t understand why it was worth the trouble.

An elder explained, “It’s because there are great opportunities there. Those who entered hundreds of years ago are now mighty figures, ruling vast lands. For example, the Emperor of the Stone Kingdom, the head of the Deer Hunt Academy, and many other top talents who now hold immense power. The leaders of the ancient families also gained significant achievements.”

According to the elders of the Sky Repair Pavilion, the Hundred-Fragment Mountains offer numerous opportunities. One might acquire the legacy of the saints, find a piece of celestial bone, or discover holy herbs. It’s truly a divine land.

Little Dot was troubled. He wasn’t easily fooled. A place where even ancient saints shed tears and bled surely harbored endless dangers, where he could easily lose his life.

The elders were trying to persuade him, focusing on the positives, clearly hoping he would participate for their own purposes, calculating their moves.

“Why should I go there? What benefits will you offer me?” he suddenly asked.

The crowd was taken aback. This child was truly unusual. Others would have been excited and grateful for such an opportunity and chance, but he was demanding benefits in return.

“It’s a death trap. If you don’t get something out of it, why go?” Little Dot said, clinging to Elder Xiong Fei’s neck.

The crowd was stunned. Was this child trying to extort them? They had never seen a disciple like this.

“If you don’t go, he won’t agree. You’ll eventually lose your life,” Tao Ye said.

Little Dot sighed, realizing it might be true. With a death god following him, he had no choice.

“Since there are so many benefits, why don’t you go yourself?” he asked angrily.

“We really want to go, but time is against us. With the passage of the ancient times, only those under eighteen can enter the Hundred-Fragment Mountains now,” someone sighed, helpless.

“Well then,” Little Dot nodded, knowing he couldn’t escape it.

“This time, many people will enter, including prodigies from ancient families, princes from ancient kingdoms, descendants of ancient species, and even bloodlines of the Golden-Winged Dapeng. You must be very careful there, or you might lose your life at any moment.”

The elders warned him and mentioned the potential benefits.

Little Dot was distracted and worried. He didn’t want to be in danger; it was too passive.

In reality, it was indeed dangerous. Every genius who entered had a high death rate, with only four out of ten surviving.

What really intrigued him was the possibility of encountering a pure-blooded fierce beast cub. When the uncles in his village joked about him becoming strong enough to catch an ancient beast cub to protect their village, it piqued his interest.

Although he wasn’t powerful enough yet to dominate the world, if he encountered a cub and its parents didn’t find out, he might be able to catch one.

Because he had the capability to fight equal-aged true wolves.

Little Dot’s mind wandered, grinning to himself.

“Hey, what are you thinking? Are you listening to me?” someone beside him asked. Just a moment ago, he was frowning, but now he was smiling—typical of a child.

Little Dot snapped out of his daydream, wiped his drool, and said, “I was thinking of catching a Golden-Winged Dapeng cub.”

The crowd was stunned, completely ignoring him.

“Cough, Xiong Fei, take him down. We need to discuss some matters,” Tao Ye said.

Half an hour later, Little Dot was brought back into the hall, finding most of the people had left. Only four old men remained, staring at him with greedy eyes.

“What do you want to do with me?” he sensed something was wrong and demanded.

“Nothing much, just a bit of a beating, heh heh,” the four old men stood up together, advancing toward him.

Little Dot realized the situation was dire. He knew he couldn’t stay too close to these old foxes; otherwise, his identity would be exposed.

“If you dare to be rude to me, I’ll defect to the Deer Hunt Academy,” he shouted.

“Heh heh,” the old men laughed continuously, their eyes still glowing with greed.

“Ouch, that really hurts!” Little Dot cried out in pain as someone slapped his backside.

Boom!

He couldn’t just sit and wait. He slapped out with one hand, colliding with an old man, creating a thunderous crash that shook the hall.

“Well done, kid. You’re indeed strong. Such a physique is remarkable,” one of them said, repeatedly expressing astonishment and delight.

“Forget it. Don’t make things difficult for him,” Tao Ye said with a smile.

The others stopped and didn’t truly hurt him.

At this moment, Xiong Fei realized something and pointed at Little Dot. “You—you’re that troublemaker,” he gritted his teeth, furious, ready to pounce.

Since the troublemaker entered the Sky Repair Pavilion, he had caused a series of incidents, leaving Xiong Fei and Tao Yun in a state of frustration and near collapse. He was eager to catch him and give him a beating.

And now, he had even carried this troublemaker all the way, nearly entangling with ancient supernatural occurrences. This was intolerable.

“Forget it, Xiong Fei. Go down for now.”

Xiong Fei was seething but didn’t dare to defy the elder’s orders. He glared at Little Dot and turned to leave.

“Elders, you see, I can’t stay in the Sky Repair Pavilion anymore. Elder Xiong will definitely deal with me later.”

Before Xiong Fei could leave, he staggered, already starting to complain as the child began to accuse him, infuriating him further.

“Xiong Fei, don’t be too hard on him. He’s just a child, and his mischief is understandable,” Tao Ye said kindly.

Xiong Fei felt like crying but was forced to endure. Everyone wanted to beat the kid, not just him alone.

“Well, go on,” the four old elders said, ushering Xiong Fei out, leaving him frustrated.

“Child, the Sky Repair Pavilion is always open-minded. Minor mistakes are forgivable, but you must not make a major blunder,” one elder said with a smile.

Little Dot immediately became attentive, nodding and acting very obediently.

“Once you enter the Hundred-Fragment Mountains, you must keep an eye out for the Eternal Spring. If you can bring it back, your name will be engraved on the Sky Repair Pavilion’s eternal monument,” another elder said.

Little Dot twitched his mouth. No wonder they were so accommodating. They had something they needed from him.

“You troublemaker, how could you be so ungrateful? Being a part of the Sky Repair Pavilion should be unforgettable. Is it so hard to do one task for your masters?” one elder glared.

“Forget it. Instead of telling him this, you should tell him that if he succeeds, he can pick a treasure technique from the scripture pavilion. That’s more practical,” Tao Ye said.

“Why look down on me? I’m very willing to serve my masters,” Little Dot said, fidgeting and twisting his fingers. “When I come back, at least let me stay in the scripture pavilion for a month. One technique is not enough.”

Initially, the four elders nodded, somewhat satisfied. After all, he was still a child. However, the last sentence made their faces darken instantly.

The Eternal Spring, located in a hidden part of the Hundred-Fragment Mountains, is said to be in extremely harsh conditions, with ancient holy arrays that erase runes, making it accessible only to those with exceptionally strong physical bodies.

When Xiong Fei saw Little Dot again, he was shocked to find him gnawing on a carrot. He was momentarily stunned, but after rubbing his eyes and looking closer, he jumped up and shouted, “How dare you steal a spirit herb? That’s the Snow Jade Ginseng planted at the hall’s entrance!”

“It was given to me by Elder Tao Ye,” Little Dot replied.

“Nonsense!” Xiong Fei couldn’t believe it.

“When I was leaving, I asked Elder Tao if the carrots in the vegetable garden were edible, and he impatiently nodded,” Little Dot said.

Inside the hall, Tao Ye’s voice was heard with a hint of helplessness, “Keep an eye on him. He’s not allowed near the medicinal fields. Later, send him a basket of real carrots.”

The next day, Little Dot truly experienced freedom. No longer did he have to worry about anything. Besides diligently practicing, he explored various hidden places within the Sky Repair Pavilion.

Every night, the old man with the sword in his head would appear, as if urging him to hurry on his way. Initially, Little Dot found it awkward, but he soon became accustomed to it. He even used the old man’s clothes as a hanger and sometimes tossed the fluffball onto the ancient corpse’s head to sleep.

Of course, the fluffball would wake up angry and screech, its fur standing on end.

Every morning, the old man would disappear.

“Hmm, isn’t this an ordinary disciple? How did he end up in our genius camp?” a group of people wondered.

The genius camp was surrounded by beautiful scenery: deep blue lakes, verdant valleys, and elegant peaks. The air was filled with auspiciousness and radiant clouds, making it ideal for cultivation, far surpassing the ordinary disciple’s environment.

“Stop! You can’t just wander around here.”

Little Dot stopped and said, “I’m looking for Qingfeng.”

“Why are you looking for him?” some people asked in surprise.

“He’s my brother. I’ve brought him some medicine,” Little Dot said, holding a package.

Soon, Qingfeng arrived, took the package, and was astonished when he opened it. Inside was a spirit herb emitting dazzling light and a fragrant aroma.

“Ah, big brother, what is this?” Qingfeng asked in shock, realizing that this might have been stolen from the medicinal fields.

Spirit herbs were extremely precious. If it was known that it had been stolen, it would be a serious crime, making his hands tremble.

When the package was opened, others saw it and gasped in astonishment. Their eyes were filled with eager excitement. Even among genius disciples, such precious herbs were rarely used directly; usually, they were used in rare medicinal powders.

“Hey, I say, brother, as an ordinary disciple, you shouldn’t have access to spirit herbs. You must have stolen it from the medicinal fields. That’s a serious crime, and you’ll be expelled,” a group of people approached.

“Nonsense. I won this spirit herb as a wager after defeating a descendant of an ancient race,” Little Dot declared seriously. Though it wasn’t entirely false because he had indeed subdued the fluffball, who wanted to eat it.

The crowd didn’t believe him and laughed derisively.

“Don’t believe it? We can bet. Who wants to challenge me?” Little Dot challenged them.

The crowd found it laughable. This kid was so boastful. As an ordinary disciple who couldn’t even join the genius camp, he dared to challenge others.

“I’ll take the challenge. If I win, will you give me your spirit herb?” a girl in green approached. She was graceful, about fifteen or sixteen years old, with fair skin, flowing hair, delicate eyebrows, and clear eyes that sparkled with a smile.

“Oh, a beautiful sister. What do you have to wager? Do you have spirit herbs?” Little Dot’s eyes lit up.

The crowd laughed. This kid was shorter than the girl and clearly younger, yet he had the audacity to call her ‘sister.’

The girl smiled sweetly and said, “Little brother, don’t be too eager. You’ll have a chance to cry later. I don’t have spirit herbs, but I have rare medicinal powders and some other items. Combined, they should be enough.”

“Talking to a beautiful girl is pleasant. You’re on. Anyone else wants to bet?” Little Dot asked.

The crowd was stunned. This kid was so foolish. Did he not realize he was about to lose the spirit herb and still wanted to bet with others?

They were speechless. They couldn’t support Little Dot, as his brother Qingfeng wasn’t strong, and he himself hadn’t even entered the genius camp.

“You’re confident. Count me in,” another girl stepped forward, wearing fur clothing with her arms exposed. Her long legs were partly visible, her skin was tanned and healthy, and she was very pretty, though her eyes had a wild gleam.

“Another beautiful sister. I love dealing with beautiful sisters,” Little Dot tried to look mature but stared inappropriately at her.

“Little brat, I’ll make sure you’re looking for your teeth all over the ground later,” the beautiful but somewhat wild girl said, showing her white teeth.

“Cut it out. I’m not scared. Sister, don’t cry when you lose,” Little Dot waved his hand grandly and said to the group of young men, “You’re unreliable. You let a beautiful sister handle this. That’s intolerable.”

He then turned to the group of girls and said, “Those guys are unreliable.”

Damn it, such provocation. The group of young men were furious, ready to beat him up.

Soon, a crowd of fifteen or sixteen-year-old geniuses surrounded him, all eager to challenge him and give him a good beating.

Roar!
