Little One darted away, carrying the glowing cocoon over mountains and valleys with incredible speed. In his eyes, anything the girl in purple had set her sights on must be valuable, so he decided to grab it and run.
“Shameless little thief!” The girl in purple fluttered through the air as if a celestial maiden from the Moon Palace had descended, exuding an ethereal and holy aura as she pursued him.
She was truly furious. This detestable child had dared to ambush her, and on top of that, he used all sorts of chaotic fighting techniques, including wrestling and even biting her ear.
Little One was unfazed, grumbling to himself. It was perfectly normal in a fierce battle for his opponent to try to scheme against him. He had even bitten through gravel before, let alone a fierce beast’s ear.
He zigzagged through the primitive mountain range, occasionally glancing back and grumbling, “You’re so ruthless. Why can’t you just let it go? It’s never-ending.”
The girl in purple was livid. This thief was too shameless, questioning and blaming her for ambushing him, wrestling, biting his ear, and stealing everything—pendant, treasure, and glowing cocoon.
“Damn little thief, you don’t even know what that thing is and you just snatched it. How infuriating and shameful!” she gritted her teeth.
Little One didn’t care about that; he just wanted to get away with it first.
Finally, after half an hour of fleeing, he shook off the girl in purple. After all, it was just one person chasing him, not a group of flying divine beasts surrounding him.
“You’re so ruthless, biting off that pendant from her ear. I couldn’t even bite her wrist,” said the God-Slaying Stone with regret, now reduced to the size of a fingertip, swaying among Little One’s hair.
“You don’t have an invincible heart,” Little One said nonchalantly.
“Pah!” The stubborn stone sneered. It felt it wasn’t quite as shameless as it should be, even considering biting ears.
“This is a good item,” Little One said, examining the pendant. It was the size of a pigeon’s egg, perfectly round and transparent, with a deep purple hue that radiated a shimmering glow and auspicious aura.
“Let me see what kind of stone this is,” said the God-Slaying Stone, clearly eager to consume it.
“This isn’t a stone; it’s a bead. Don’t get any funny ideas, or I’ll stuff you into the Small Tower,” Little One warned.
The bead, the size of a knuckle, shone with vibrant colors. With just a slight exertion, symbols appeared on it, forming a light screen. It could protect the wearer and also emit sword qi, truly wondrous.
“It’s just a small accessory, but it has such divine power,” Little One marveled. This treasure was indeed extraordinary, rare even.
However, the pendant was too delicate. He couldn’t tie it to his hair, so he re-forged the divine golden chain, lengthened and thinned it, and wrapped it around his wrist. It could serve as a powerful weapon if needed.
“Hmm, something’s not right,” Little One said solemnly. He sensed a killing intent and quickly hid.
Soon, he saw a massive red bull. Standing on rocks, it turned the ground into lava, demonstrating its intense heat and terror.
It charged into a stone mountain, or rather, melted into it. Afterward, the lava flowed out, sealing the entrance with only a small hole left.
“What’s this guy doing? Definitely a beast king,” Little One thought, observing for a moment and finally understanding. The old bull was hiding and preparing to ambush talented individuals entering the mountain.
Some divine birds and pure-blooded beings entered the mountain, aiming to raid the lair of the strongest beast king. However, these ancient monsters hadn’t all left their lairs and were also preparing to ambush the pure-blooded fierce beasts.
“Roar!”
A mournful cry came from afar. The distant mountain range trembled. A highly powerful genius had been struck down and devoured by a five-colored peacock.
“So strong.”
Little One was astonished. That must have been an extraordinary genius. The treasure shone with divine light, illuminating the mountain range, but it was ultimately no match for the massive peacock.
He became even more cautious, knowing that danger and killing intent lurked everywhere.
“What exactly is this cocoon?” Little One found a remote forest to put it down and carefully examined it. It seemed like a divine silkworm was hiding inside, emitting a glow of clouds and mist.
The God-Slaying Stone said, “This is a good material, not inferior to heavenly silkworm silk. Clothing made from it would be spotless and impervious to water or fire, with exceptional defensive power.”
“I wonder when it will break open. It wouldn’t be a Sky-Splitting Demon Butterfly, would it?” Little One wondered with great hope.
“Have you ever seen a demon butterfly build a nest?” the stubborn stone asked.
“That’s true,” Little One said, putting the large cocoon into the Qiankun Bag.
Suddenly, a violent roar came from afar, shaking the earth and mountains. Even the giant five-colored peacock retreated, not approaching the mountain range.
“So strong. That should be the center of the Hundred Breaks Mountain. What kind of creature is it?” Little One was amazed.
Upon reaching this area, he was extremely cautious, knowing that beast kings and hidden threats could strike at any moment.
“Rumble, rumble.”
The earth shook as a great bull appeared. Its back was torn off, bleeding profusely. It was carried away by a whirlwind, fleeing at high speed.
Behind it was an old wolf, appearing thin and small, only a meter long, but it was shockingly powerful. Its eyes were as bright as lanterns, and each leap it took was hundreds of meters long, frighteningly fast.
Where it landed, the ground caved in, and its paw prints were more terrifying than the Thunder God’s hammer.
The great bull used a powerful treasure, turning into a ball of light and speeding away. Otherwise, it would have been pinned down by the old wolf.
“So strong. It looks like an ordinary wolf, yet it is so fierce and powerful.”
“Don’t underestimate that wolf. It’s been around for at least several hundred years and is one of the experts in the Hundred Breaks Mountain,” said the stubborn stone.
“Flap, flap.”
The sound of wings flapping came from above the distant mountain range. A Bi Fang was roaring angrily, using a powerful treasure that emitted divine light, but it still suffered greatly.
A five-colored peacock was chasing it, tearing through its defenses with a claw, feathers flying and blood splattering. The Bi Fang, wounded, fled into the distance.
Such events were not isolated. In the central area of the Hundred Breaks Mountain, bold and audacious talents who ventured into the beast king’s territory all faced ambushes.
Little One was deeply affected. It took him the better part of a day to reach the rendezvous point with Da Hong and the Nine-Headed Lion. However, other than a mess on the ground, there was nothing to be seen.
“Roar!”
Another roar came from the central area, with powerful penetrating force that made the trees shake. Leaves flew everywhere.
Even in the distant mountains, ancient trees shattered into fragments and scattered.
“What kind of creature is it?” Little One was uncertain and worried.
“Zing!”
A beam of light shot through, shattering ancient trees and racing through the mountains. It was the Chilin Dragon, covered in blood and nearly having its tail severed. It was in a terrible state and fleeing at high speed.
Then, Little One finally saw what was in the center of the mountains: a group of monkeys, all shining with golden light and extremely powerful. They leapt from one mountain peak to another, screeching as they pursued the Chilin Dragon.
Among them, one divine monkey was particularly strong. It was only about 1.5 meters tall but seemed to be made of gold. As their leader, it was terrifyingly powerful, even making the flying five-colored peacock retreat.
It emitted divine light with each leap, cracking the earth. It leaped over a mountain range with remarkable speed.
The Chilin Dragon had been injured by the god-monkeys, who surrounded and pursued it, almost leading to the demise of the pure-blooded fierce beast.
“Poof!”
The leader of the divine monkeys was immensely powerful. He threw a divine spear weighing tens of thousands of pounds, which impaled the Chilin Dragon with a “poof” sound. This caused the dragon to scream in agony, and its already severed tail rotted completely.
The dragon acted decisively, wrenching off its bloodied and mangled tail, enveloping itself in a light shield created by its treasure, and burrowed through the mountain.
The offspring of ancient fierce beasts were incredibly powerful and possessed supreme treasures, yet they were still no match here, suffering severe injuries and coming close to death.
Little One felt a chill in his heart. It was so dangerous here—hopefully, Da Hong and the Nine-Headed Lion hadn’t perished.
These golden monkeys had emerged from their sealed place and were all incredibly strong, especially their leader, who was outrageously fierce.
“I can’t help but feel that the Chilin Dragon was provoking the divine monkeys on purpose. Otherwise, with its abilities, it wouldn’t be in such a dire situation,” Little One remarked.
“The Chilin Dragon must have been eyeing something valuable. There’s likely something extraordinary in that area,” the stubborn stone said.
“Hiss!”
Suddenly, an ancient towering tree shook and burst into dazzling light. Dozens of glowing roots appeared, some like battle spears, others like coiled dragons, to ensnare and kill him.
“This is an Iron-Blooded Ancient Tree!” the stubborn stone exclaimed.
“Boom!”
Little One summoned the Sphinx Treasure Mirror and unleashed a barrage of lightning, but it was difficult to damage the enormous tree. It glowed from head to root, with all its roots being incredibly solid. The entire tree was like a treasure itself.
“Clang!”
Dozens of roots attacked simultaneously, some like battle spears, others like divine whips. They struck nearby, shattering rocks, and the Sphinx Treasure Mirror trembled.
“Hurry and run. Your treasures are strong, but this tree’s realm is too high; you’re no match for it,” the stubborn stone warned.
The Iron-Blooded Ancient Tree was a terrifying plant with innate intelligence, a fierce temperament, and a love for iron-blooded warfare. It was extremely powerful, and its rage made all other creatures fear it.
“Clang!”
Little One wielded his broken sword and struck fiercely. The massive sword light swept across, severing several roots and diminishing their glow.
The Iron-Blooded Ancient Tree went berserk, its entire body turning blood-red, including its leaves. It became completely enraged, with various roots and branches glowing and scattering endless symbols, overwhelming the area.
“It’s too strong!”
The ancient tree’s level was horrifying. Little One turned and fled, using the broken sword to clear a path and cut through some branches. Meanwhile, the pendant on his wrist glowed, forming a light screen to protect his body and block many of the symbols.
With a thunderous explosion, the mountain was shattered. Little One was thrown around like a fallen leaf in the storm, coughing up blood.
The Iron-Blooded Ancient Tree rose from the ground like a demonic god, fully revived and many times stronger than before. A crystalline main root lashed out, snapping a mountain peak with a loud crack.
“So terrifying. This is also a king-level being,” Little One thought, shivering. The mountain range appeared calm but was filled with hidden dangers.
He began to escape, but the Iron-Blooded Ancient Tree was truly terrifying. It was blood-red and dripping, and its roots moved faster than a giant beast. It pursued him, flattening the mountains.
This colossal creature seemed to possess the power to move mountains and fill seas, emitting blood-red light. Its sweeping symbols turned rocks into dust, and any obstacles were pulverized.
Little One fled desperately, with the Iron-Blooded Ancient Tree destroying several giant mountains along the way, unstoppable and overwhelmingly powerful.
After two hours, he finally managed to escape, though he was covered in bloodstains and nearly perished.
Little One lay low for two whole days, continuously scouting the area. He noticed that the Chilin Dragon, the Great Bull, and the Bi Fang had come and gone, reappearing again.
Additionally, the girl in purple arrived and, together with several pure-blooded beings, began to cooperate.
Eventually, he even discovered the traces of the Sky-Splitting Demon Butterfly, the Pu Mo Tree, and Shi Yi, all heading towards the center of the Hundred Breaks Mountain’s sealed area. He truly wondered what the divine monkeys’ habitat had to offer.
“Over here!”
Upon hearing the sound, Little One quickly turned around and saw Da Hong the bird, stealthily signaling him to come over.
“It almost evaded my spiritual perception,” he was astonished. How had Da Hong appeared out of nowhere? Then he saw Fire Spirit Girl, the Nine-Headed Lion, and others emerging from the void.
