A group of people screamed in anguish. They had exhausted their energy and spent half the night risking their lives to obtain the golden divine egg, only to have it snatched away by the little one who was now running off to eat it. How could they not be anxious?
Everyone was frantic, chasing after him with no intention of letting him get away. Otherwise, they would go mad from frustration.
"Stop!" the group shouted, but the wolf pack was endless, and the little one had long since vanished from sight.
"Chase him! I sprinkled a few drops of Yulan Grass juice on the golden divine egg. He can't escape. We just need to follow the trail," said a figure in a black cloak.
The wolves howled incessantly, all heading in one direction. Many giant wolves had abandoned the Fire Nation princess and the others, now pursuing the little one, which unmistakably pointed them in the right direction.
That night, the great prairie was in turmoil. All the creatures were restless, with wolf howls echoing everywhere and pairs of green eyes glowing like ghostly flames in the grass.
Terrifying figures howled at the moon, causing the entire land to tremble. The pack of wolves was in a frenzy, baring their snow-white fangs and running amok across the territory.
"It's terrifying! Endless wolves are after the golden divine egg," the little one exclaimed in shock. It was the first time he had seen so many wolves in a riot, sounding like a roaring flood. Dust and grass were trampled into the ground behind him.
Silver giant wolves, green-headed wolves, black feral wolves, and red-horned wolves—all kinds were present, covering the sky and earth, exuding a fierce killing intent and relentlessly pursuing him.
The little one used the golden bone scissors to cut a bloody path. Although he had already escaped the encirclement and was heading far away, the wolves’ sense of smell was too sharp. They followed him relentlessly, regrouping into another encirclement.
The endless wolf pack seemed boundless, with snow-white fangs gleaming ominously in the deep night. The green eyes glowed like lightning, and all the savage tribes on the vast prairie had mobilized to surround him.
The sound of “hiss hiss” was incessant. Dozens of wolf kings with powerful skills were attacking in unison, no weakling among them. They assaulted the little one with overwhelming force, their combined attacks causing the nearby stone mountain to collapse.
“I need to escape!”
The little one stood on the gleaming bone mirror, exerting all his strength to channel the divine essence within him. He flew three feet off the ground at high speed. Although fast, this consumed immense energy.
However, there was no alternative. He had to flee, or he would be overwhelmed and devoured by the wolf pack.
“I’m exhausted.” Finally, he stopped, leaving the prairie and landing in a mountainous area, lying flat on the ground, not wanting to move.
“Awwooo!”
After resting for half an hour, the distant wolf howls resumed, shaking the mountains and valleys.
“Splash!”
Forced by circumstances, the little one jumped into a river. The wolves’ keen noses made it impossible to escape.
The river was wide and turbulent. He floated with the current, unsure how long he had been submerged before surfacing. The banks were lush with green, and willows swayed in the wind, leading him to a hilly area.
“Should be safe now,” he thought, emerging from the water and reaching the shore with the golden egg.
By now, the sky was brightening, and the eastern horizon was turning pale. This small world did not have a real sun; the red sun was said to be the corpse of an ancient golden crow.
Every day, it rose and set, emitting intense heat. It was a true ancient divine bird. Even in death, it was awe-inspiring, and many had sought it but died tragically.
“What is this divine egg? Is it really a wolf’s egg?” The little one pondered as he dried his clothes and examined the egg.
The golden egg was as large as a basin, resembling gold. It had strange patterns on its shell, with a flowing luster and a mysterious energy fluctuation.
“This isn’t an ordinary beast’s egg. It might really be a divine offspring, which means it could rival true ancient beasts like Taotie, Taowu, and Zhenhuo.”
He was excited. His greatest hope in entering this small world was to capture a young ancient beast to bring back to Stone Village. Although the chances were slim, he always held hope, and it now seemed to be coming true.
“If I can hatch it, I might acquire a world-shaking divine technique. It would be unparalleled and immensely powerful,” the little one said excitedly, his eyes shining with enthusiasm.
However, after thinking for a while, he suddenly deflated, tossing the golden egg to the ground and sitting on it.
He propped his chin and said, “This is an ancient small world. This golden egg hasn’t hatched from endless ages past until now. How long can I wait?”
He speculated that the egg must be damaged; otherwise, it should have hatched an ancient divine beast long ago, not dragging into this lifetime.
“It’s really disappointing.” The little one felt very dejected. He had been full of joy, but this conclusion made him unwilling.
“Well, I might as well catch a divine bird’s cub myself in the future. At least I won’t have to wait for it to hatch.” He cheered up quickly, smiling again, his big eyes sparkling as he stared at the golden egg. He swallowed with a gulp of saliva.
“I think it must taste great. Even if the divine embryo has died, there should still be a lot of divine material. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be glowing like this. If I don’t eat it now, I’ll surely be struck by lightning,” he decided and immediately took action.
On the mountain, a fire was already burning, and an iron pot was set up. He muttered to himself, “How should I eat it? In the morning, I should make a fried egg.”
It was early morning. The ancient golden crow in the sky was glowing, and the morning glow was splendid, illuminating the hilly area with rich colors.
The little one found a sharp stone and began to chisel at the egg. The “clang clang” sound was like hammering iron, with sparks flying and shaking the mountain.
Fire Spirit, Silver Blood Giant, Feather King, and the others were exhausted to the point of spitting blood. They had changed directions several times and cursed continuously, frustrated by the little one’s constant looping.
The most unforgivable thing was that when they finally chased along a big river, they found they had looped back, only a dozen miles from the starting point.
“Does this kid have any sense of direction?” they wanted to scream. They had run an entire circle around the prairie, only to return to the starting point. The hilly area was indeed very close to the prairie.
Everyone was furious, their legs cramping from the run, their ankles thin from the exertion. After a whole night of running, they ended up back where they started. They felt they should have waited here instead of running around. Their foreheads were throbbing with anger.
“I’m so mad!”
“Does this kid have no sense of direction? We’ve been running all night, and now we’re back where we started!”
The group cursed vehemently, their anger so intense it felt like their hair was on fire.
The only consolation was that the Yulan Grass was very mysterious. After a drop of its juice was applied, it would emit a faint fragrance for several days, allowing them to continue tracking.
“Ah, there he is! We found him!” someone shouted in excitement.
When the group saw the little one, they were so furious their mouths twitched, and their hair stood on end. He was really going to eat it. The kid was fiddling with an iron pot, which was already glowing red, with the golden egg placed inside. He was shaking the pot back and forth, as if cooking.
“Hurry up and cook! Crack open already. I’m starving!”
He murmured while roasting the egg, seemingly eager to
“You damn it, put it down!” The Fire Nation princess’s companions, several mysterious figures in black cloaks, roared in fury. They were nearly driven to madness as the divine egg they had painstakingly obtained was about to be eaten by this little rascal.
“What’s the fuss? I didn’t say you couldn’t eat it. I’ll offer you some boiled eggs later. Looks like roasting it isn’t working,” the little one said, glancing at them before picking up the iron pot and tossing the golden egg into a nearby copper cauldron.
“Ah no!”
A collective scream erupted from the crowd, their eyes wide with shock, veins bulging, hearts bleeding with rage. They were so furious they could hardly contain themselves, wanting to rush over and stop him immediately.
But it was too late. With a “splash,” the golden egg fell into the boiling water in the copper cauldron. The steam billowed up, and the divine egg floated and swirled within, causing a commotion.
“I’m going to take you down!” Fire Spirit’s rage made her body tremble. Her tall and slender figure shook with anger, her large, watery eyes blazing with fire. Her crystal-clear white skin displayed a series of glowing runes as she prepared to battle the little one.
“This is such a waste! This is a divine offspring! It’s going to be cooked and eaten. I’m so furious!” Silver Blood Giant and Feather King also howled in rage, cursing and stomping their feet.
The crowd went insane, charging forward with a flurry of magical attacks, like a rain of spells aimed at the little one.
The little one was undeterred, summoning the golden bone scissors and the Suan Ni treasure mirror, unleashing divine power to counter the crowd’s onslaught. Angry, he said, “You’re being unreasonable. I never said you couldn’t have any. There’s enough for everyone.”
Who’s fighting you for it? Who wants to eat it? We’re trying to hatch it to make a god in the future, tears are flowing. The crowd was going crazy.
After a night of fierce battles in the divine cave and another night of running, they were exhausted, far from being as energetic as the little one. Despite their numbers, they couldn’t subdue him quickly.
“Junior brother, we’re here to help you,” the five geniuses from the Sky Repair Pavilion stepped in, challenging the group. They were all powerful.
At that moment, magical attacks danced and colorful light flickered. The nearby hills were flattened, and the crowd was filled with uncontrollable anger and turmoil.
“Stop fighting! The egg is almost done, it’s starting to emit a fragrance,” the little one said as he fished the egg out of the copper cauldron and tossed it back into the iron pot, using Fire Spirit’s fire magic to continue roasting it.
He also occasionally used a large iron ladle to smash the egg, trying to crack it open.
The crowd watched in frustration but could do nothing. The little rascal was too formidable, and they couldn’t defeat him in a short time.
“The eggshell is so hard. Why can’t I get it open? If only the furball were here, its teeth are the strongest and sharpest, it could definitely crack it open,” the little one muttered.
The furball hadn’t followed; he left it behind in the Sky Repair Pavilion.
The little one finally used the golden egg as a shield against the crowd’s various magical attacks, enduring the blazing fire and intense lightning while continuing to roast it.
“Crack!”
Suddenly, there was a crisp sound from the eggshell, which cracked open with a gap, releasing a swirl of mist.
“Ah, it’s cracked! Stop hitting it, you’ve shattered the egg!” The little one shouted, displaying an expression of delight.
The crowd was startled, and they all stopped, quickly moving to see what was happening, and then rushed forward.
“You little rascal, you’ve ruined a divine egg! Ahhh!” The crowd yelled, and various magical attacks flew again.
The little one covered his head and fled, holding the golden divine egg, defensively stating, “I didn’t crack it, it was your magical attacks that broke it.”
“Nonsense! It was clearly you who roasted it open. A young god has been killed; this is unforgivable!”
The crowd shouted angrily, attacking him in a rage.
“Crack!”
The golden egg made another sound, with more cracks appearing, emitting even more brilliant light and mist, extremely mysterious.
“No, why do I feel like there’s something alive inside the egg?” The little one stopped, holding the egg and muttering.
At this moment, the crowd was also surprised and quickly stopped, surrounding him in an instant.
They listened carefully, their expressions changing to one of shock and then joy as they heard movement inside the egg, as if something was about to break out of the golden shell.
The little one was cautious, stepping back and saying, “I warn you, don’t fight over it. This egg is for everyone.”
“Ugh!”
The crowd wanted to vomit blood. This little rascal still wanted to eat it, and it was clear that keeping the golden egg in his hands wasn’t safe.
“Crack!”
The golden eggshell shattered, revealing a small creature curled up in the little one’s hand.
“Ah, it hatched into a deity!” The crowd screamed and surged forward.
“Heavens, it’s really a deity, a very young one,” Fire Spirit said excitedly, her chest heaving with emotion, her skin glowing with a crystalline luster, almost wanting to snatch it immediately.
Everyone rushed forward together.
