Chapter 140: Displaying the Ferocious Might of the Human Race

Chapter 140: Displaying the Ferocious Might of the Human Race

The Five-Colored Luan Bird bristled upon hearing the words, its feathers standing on end. The most vibrant plume on its head shot up straight, glowing brilliantly as its eyes flared with murderous intent.

"Human, do you know who you're talking to?" Its voice was sharp and ringing, like the clash of swords, exuding an air of authority.

"Just a bird, nothing more than food," the little one said nonchalantly, glancing at it sideways, as if to say, "What makes you so special?"

The Luan screeched into the sky, light bursting from its body. A volley of rainbow feathers shot out like divine arrows, whistling through the air, aiming straight for the little one's forehead.

"Roar!" The Nine-Headed Lion bellowed, a blazing golden light erupting from its body, enveloping the area ahead and halting the feathered arrows in mid-air.

"Brother Lion, what are you doing?" The Five-Colored Luan Bird's face darkened with displeasure.

"Brother Luan, there's no need for this, no need to fight," said the Nine-Headed Lion. Had it been anyone else, it wouldn't have mattered, but the Luan Bird’s grandfather was an old friend of the Nine Spirit King. The Lion couldn't just watch as it brought trouble upon itself. It knew all too well how savage that brat could be. If provoked, he might really end up eating the bird.

The little one, clearly annoyed, said, "Brother Lion, why are you stopping my prey? A rare exotic bird like this must taste delicious."

The Five-Colored Luan's feathers stood on end, glowing with radiance as its eyes turned crimson. "Human, say that again!"

The little one ignored it, no longer speaking. He strode forward, his face dark, his actions making his intentions clear—he didn't like being threatened by other creatures.

The watching crowd of beings was astonished. This human boy was so domineering. He really seemed intent on eating the Luan Bird!

"Human, you're too arrogant," said one of the Three-Eyed Clan, a cold smile playing at the corners of his lips, as he spoke before the Luan could act.

"If no one offends me, I won’t offend them," the little one turned to look at them, saying, "Haven't I already told you? You two are humanoid, so I don't want to eat you. Don’t provoke me."

The two brothers of the Three-Eyed Clan immediately turned grim. They had always been the ones intimidating others; no one had ever dared to speak about eating or not eating them before.

"Today, no one should interfere. Let us handle this," one of the brothers said in a deep voice.

"So, it's you. We meet again." Just then, a chilling laugh echoed as a strange snake appeared, a few meters long, though not particularly thick, yet still quite intimidating.

It was entirely red, as if forged from divine metal. Below its head, its body split into two trunks, with six legs and four wings. Its scales gleamed ominously, giving it a bizarre and fearsome appearance.

This was an ancient relic species, the Feiyi, which had once encountered the little one in Duankong City. Back then, it had lashed its tail at him provocatively, almost starting a fight.

"Snake, you're back again. If you provoke me this time, I won’t let it slide," the little one warned.

Inside the majestic mountain gate, thick mist swirled, and treasures could be seen flying through the air—rumored to be powerful, sentient artifacts, glowing with brilliance.

Outside the gate, countless creatures gathered, yet no one dared to move recklessly. For the moment, many eyes were drawn to the little one and the commotion around him.

The Feiyi let out a cold snort, its blood-red body shimmering with light, its eyes icy cold. "This isn’t Duankong City. Without your elders here to protect you, your arrogance will get you nowhere."

"Ah, how lively! It’s been a long time since a human dared provoke us like this," said a Fire Crow, its body pitch black, tendrils of black flame rising from it. It was also an old acquaintance of the Nine-Headed Lion.

The Nine-Headed Lion felt a headache coming on. This was getting out of hand. These were all powerful ancient species from strong bloodlines, each with a significant background. How could this possibly end well?

"Big Red," the little one called out, undeterred, his large eyes flashing as he stared hungrily at the gathering of relic species.

"Here I am!" Big Red, the large red bird, came waddling over enthusiastically.

"Hurry up, clean your black pot and boil some water. We’re preparing for a feast," the little one ordered.

Big Red frowned. That was its treasured artifact, which, although it looked like a black pot, was actually crafted from a bird egg, brimming with treasure aura, and worth a fortune. But it soon gave in, grinning broadly. How could it miss out on a feast of ancient relic species?

"Alright, I'll go boil the water!" It wandered off, searching for a water source, eventually finding a spring near the mountain gate.

The Five-Colored Luan Bird, having endured enough, was about to take flight, but a golden light blocked its path. The Nine-Headed Lion grabbed hold of it, determined to protect it, as their two families had a long-standing alliance.

"You’ve crossed the line, and now you’ll pay the price," said the elder brother of the Three-Eyed Clan as he attacked without hesitation.

The light from his third eye burst forth, a beam of blue light shooting out. The little one lifted a boulder weighing tens of thousands of pounds, smashing it into the beam. With a loud "poof," the boulder exploded into dust mid-air, raining down in a fine powder. The terrifying display of power made the surrounding creatures tremble with fear.

"Crack!"

The little one raised his hand, golden lightning crackling in his palm, colliding with the blue beam. A dazzling explosion erupted in the sky, spraying light and energy in all directions. The ground below hissed as the light seared it, leaving behind deep, smoking craters.

"Not bad," the Three-Eyed Clan warrior said, stomping on the ground with enough force to cause the earth to crack open, fissures spreading for dozens of yards. His physical power was terrifying.

With his blue hair flying, he leaped into the air, spreading his arms wide as he dove down, like a great roc, fierce and unstoppable. The oppressive aura he exuded was enough to make anyone quake in fear.

The onlookers were stunned. His momentum was overwhelming, like a flash flood crashing down from the mountains, making him impossible to face directly.

"So strong, like a human-shaped Zhēnhòu beast come to life!"

"How is he this powerful? The Three-Eyed Clan truly lives up to its reputation as one of the most formidable races, their innate gifts unmatched."

The crowd of creatures murmured in awe.

As the warrior of the Three-Eyed Clan dove toward the little one, the Nine-Headed Lion couldn’t bear to watch. It turned its head away, looking elsewhere. Only it knew how terrifying the little one’s physical strength was. If you wanted to fight him, using treasures and skills would be fine. But charging in for a direct hit? The lion almost felt pity for the Three-Eyed warrior.

"Boom!"

Blue light flared as the warrior descended from the sky, his feet aimed straight at the little one’s skull, intending to end the fight decisively with a single, crushing blow.

The little one’s eyes shone brightly, and without moving, he raised one hand. He wiped away the brilliant blue symbols with a single gesture, then grabbed the warrior’s ankle with a resounding crash, his terrifying strength locking it in place. With a powerful swing, he smashed the warrior into the ground.

Cracks spread across the earth as the warrior’s body was driven into the rocks, convulsing and coughing up blood as clouds of dust billowed up.

The gathered prodigies from the various races were struck dumb, frozen in shock. The contrast between what they expected and what had just happened was too great.

The Three-Eyed Clan warrior had charged in so aggressively, only to be caught mid-attack and slammed into the ground like a rag doll by this human boy. It was downright terrifying.

"Awuuu!"

The three-eyed clan expert rolled his eyes and almost fainted on the spot. Though his body was strong enough to crack the stone ground beneath him, the intense pain caused him to spit blood as he struggled to rise.

However, the small child grasped his ankle again and swung him around, slamming him into a large boulder with a loud crash. This time, the three-eyed expert lost consciousness, several bones in his body broken.

"Let go of my brother!"

The other three-eyed clan member roared in fury, his hands slicing through the air, sending blue light as sharp as blades rushing toward the child's back.

Splat!

The child lifted his unconscious captive as a shield, and a burst of blood sprayed as the strike landed. The man in his grasp screamed in agony, awakening from his unconscious state, nearly sliced in half.

"Brother!" the other three-eyed genius cried out, his eyes filled with rage as he launched another fierce attack.

The child turned, still holding his captive, and unleashed a torrent of golden lightning. The air crackled as the lightning storm surged toward the incoming attack.

Boom!

The three-eyed expert's strike was neutralized, forcing him to spit blood and stagger backward.

It was truly a shocking sight. Even though the child had used all his strength, unleashing a devastating blow, the three-eyed clan warrior hadn't been killed outright. He only suffered from a few scorched wounds, proving the terrifying resilience of the clan's magical arts and sigils.

The child was unsatisfied. The result of his attack hadn’t met his expectations.

But for those watching, it was an entirely different story. The scene was terrifying. With just one strike, he had severely wounded a powerful three-eyed clan warrior.

With a swift movement, the child rushed forward, unleashing more sigils that filled the sky, shrouding the battlefield. The injured three-eyed warrior was powerless to resist, and his proximity to the child only worsened his situation.

Boom!

The warrior was sent flying, his body charred black, wisps of white smoke rising from him as he convulsed on the ground, completely unable to stand.

The child casually tossed his brother's body beside him. The two lay side by side, both critically wounded and unable to rise.

The onlookers were dumbstruck. This child was ruthless. In just a few moves, he had incapacitated two geniuses from the powerful three-eyed clan.

"Why do they have to be human-shaped? I hate eating ancient creatures like this," the child muttered, visibly displeased.

The crowd was speechless. Was he really planning to eat them?

"Where’s that colorful bird? I love roasted or stewed bird; it always tastes great," the child said, turning his gaze toward the vividly feathered descendant of the divine bird, a bright light flashing in his eyes.

At that moment, the five-colored Luan bird felt a pang of fear. Even the powerful pair of brothers had been so easily defeated. If it were to face the child, the outcome would be no different.

"Hey, I'm talking to you. Get in the pot already!" the child called out impatiently as he advanced toward the bird.

"You're too arrogant! I'll fight you to the death!" the five-colored Luan bird screeched, breaking free from the golden lion’s grip. Its wings spread wide as it ascended into the air, its body glowing as it unleashed a flurry of sigils.

The child’s eyes narrowed, preparing for battle.

But at that moment, a red light suddenly and silently shot toward the back of the child’s head, aiming to pierce his skull with a vicious, treacherous blow.

It was the Feiyi serpent, launching an attack. A flying sword wreathed in flames shot from its mouth. Though only the length of a palm, it radiated an awe-inspiring aura, glowing a blood-red hue.

Clang!

The child tilted his head, narrowly dodging the sword, then reached out to grab it with his fingers. However, the sword, brimming with a strong will, swiftly evaded his grasp and unleashed an eruption of fire, scorching his arm.

A fierce battle was about to unfold, with the five-colored Luan bird raining sigils from the sky and the Feiyi serpent attacking from the ground. The bird and serpent moved with the speed and fury of thunder, their bodies glowing with blinding light.

Boom!

The child no longer held back. He activated his treasure, the suanni treasure mirror, releasing a massive bolt of lightning that struck the Luan bird, leaving its feathers charred and singed.

"Die!" the Luan bird roared, spitting out a five-colored treasure fan made of its own feathers. It unleashed a radiant beam of light, striking the ground and leaving a massive crater.

Crack!

The child dodged the attack, electricity crackling around him as he focused his efforts on the Feiyi serpent. He wanted to eliminate the serpent quickly, knowing it was a dangerous opponent.

Clang!

The red, fire-wreathed flying sword returned, its fiery aura even stronger than before. Upon closer inspection, the sword appeared to be crafted from a single fang, as transparent and red as a gemstone.

Wherever the Feiyi serpent appeared, drought followed. Its mastery of fire-based treasures was terrifying, and the red fang sword slashed through the earth, creating a massive crack that stretched for hundreds of meters.

Even the child was taken aback, quickly dodging the strike. He narrowly avoided falling into the gaping black fissure, realizing he needed to take this battle seriously.

The child focused on the Feiyi serpent, launching a series of rapid strikes, his body surrounded by golden lightning as he charged forward, wielding his treasure mirror and unleashing a storm of attacks.

At this moment, the crowd was left in awe. The child appeared like a young god of war, his body gleaming with golden light, his attacks so powerful they sent shivers down their spines.

The Feiyi serpent felt a chill down its spine. It had never imagined the child would be so much more terrifying than when they had first met. Though the serpent had also grown stronger recently, it realized now that it had underestimated this human child.

Despite the Feiyi serpent’s formidable strength, enough to rank among the top of the ancient species, it found itself struggling in this battle.

The serpent unleashed wave after wave of fire-based treasures, but it couldn't shake the child. The ground split open, rocks shattered, and flames engulfed the battlefield.

Its red fang sword slashed through the air, causing a sharp intake of breath from the watching ancient species. Even the child didn’t dare face it head-on at first.

Clang!

Suddenly, the child decided to go all out, his hand clashing directly with the blood-red sword, producing a dazzling display of symbols and lightning as he attempted to seize control of the treasure.

The Feiyi serpent’s expression changed. After dozens of exchanges, it began to consider retreat. Even after using its most powerful techniques, including its flaming treasures, it couldn’t overpower the child. And this was with the help of the Luan bird.

"Trying to escape? It won’t be that easy."

Suddenly, a silver moon appeared behind the child, shining brightly. It shot forward and crashed into the serpent’s crimson sword.

Buzz!

The silver light enveloped the red sword, trapping it within and preventing its escape.

With the child’s increasing strength, his understanding of treasures and magical arts had deepened. His abilities had evolved, growing more versatile and far more powerful.

The Feiyi serpent's expression grew grim. It could not afford to lose this treasure—it was made from its most powerful bone, refined over ten years to form this sword.

Desperate, the serpent charged forward, intent on reclaiming its sword. The flames around it intensified, growing hotter, turning the ground into molten lava.

“It’s mine, all mine!” the child exclaimed gleefully as he withdrew the silver moon. This time, he hadn't used his golden bone shears, so the sword remained intact. For the first time, he had acquired a flawless weapon.

“Give it back!” the Feiyi serpent roared, its face contorted in rage.

Shing!

A streak of golden light flew out—the dragon-jiao shears. With a sickening slash, blood sprayed into the air as the serpent was nearly sliced in two, its body gushing with blood.

Boom!

The child swiftly flipped his hand, and the treasure mirror shone with a blinding white light, lightning intertwined. This time, it struck the heavily wounded serpent directly, leaving it with no chance to defend itself.

“Ahhh!”

The Feiyi serpent let out a miserable cry, its body charred black as it was hurled through the air, struggling to rise.

At the same time, the child invoked the golden bone shears again, sending them soaring into the sky to attack the Luan bird.

The series of attacks and movements were executed in a seamless flow. From the moment the Feiyi serpent was suddenly struck by the bone shears, to the shears launching into the sky, everything happened too quickly for anyone to react.

A streak of golden light cut through the air, and with a splat, the Luan bird in the sky let out a shriek. Its five-colored feathers were scattered, its legs wounded, and a chunk of flesh weighing several pounds was severed, causing it to fall to the ground. At the same time, its wings were entangled by the bone shears, with golden light flashing and clanging. Eventually, the bird managed to break free and escape, but one of its divine wings was left with a bloody hole, dropping a piece of precious flesh smeared with feathers and blood.

"Ahhh!" The Luan bird cried out in agony, circling in the sky, unwilling to descend.

Everyone was stunned. In just a short time, four powerful experts had been defeated, proving to be no match at all.

"Is Dahuang ready?" the child asked.

"Yes, just waiting to be cooked," Dahuang the bird replied from the mountain gate, where it had already prepared a large pot with boiling water.

The child wiped his mouth, holding a piece of the Luan bird's leg meat and another piece from its divine wing. With radiance and auspicious energy swirling around, he said, "We'll roast these two pieces of meat."

Then, he approached the Feiyi serpent, lifted it up, and draped it over his shoulder, saying, "Snake stew is the best; let’s stew it."

He dragged his spoils towards the mountain gate, calling out to the nine-headed lion, "Little brother, let’s go. I’m treating you to some food."

Along the way, the talented individuals from various races quickly retreated. It was too brutal; he was really going to eat them, and no one dared to stop him this time.

Outside the mountain gate, there was a clear spring. After throwing down his trophies, the child washed his dirty little face, revealing his true appearance.

"He’s the troublesome kid from the Void God Realm!"

Some human talents cried out in disbelief, their eyes filled with astonishment.

Upon revealing his true form, the child was immediately recognized, causing a stir among the crowd.

In the distance, a golden bird looked on with a sideways glance. The Suanni, Chilu, and Pixiu all appeared surprised and observed him curiously but did not take action.

A butterfly fluttered gracefully, and the Pu Mo tree swayed, both becoming spectators to the scene.

"Truly powerful," Bi Fang murmured, his eyes flashing with blinding light.
