Chapter 128: Spirit Communication

Chapter 128: Spirit Communication

She was named Yu Zimo, dressed in blue, fluttering gracefully with the wind. Her skin was translucent, her lashes long, and her eyes were lively and profound, as if she had stepped out of a painting. She was very beautiful, with a rare ethereal quality.

The members of the Yu clan were all taken aback. They knew well that Yu Zimo, one of the twin prodigies, was exceptionally gifted with spirit communication abilities, sometimes inexplicably perceiving a portion of fate.

No one could precisely describe this divine ability. Everyone in the clan held her in high regard; if not for the presence of someone like Shi Yi, she would surely have been even more dazzling.

Little Point was unaware of these details and paid them no mind. He remained calm and composed, seated atop the Nine-Headed Lion, watching these people with a steady gaze, preparing for battle.

“He is like Shi Yi, inscrutable, shrouded in a fog,” Yu Zimo spoke, her voice melodious like pearls falling into a clear spring, causing a delicate, lively echo.

“He has killed eighteen of our Yu clan experts. Zimo, you must capture him,” several people by the lake spoke in unison, striding forward to assist her.

They were very confident in the fifteen or sixteen-year-old girl, knowing her strength. Every gesture, every frown or smile of hers carried a supernatural power; she was a girl of spirit communication.

“I will naturally take action. I have been waiting here at the entrance of the passage for him to arrive,” Yu Zimo said. As a member of the Yu clan, she followed the elders’ orders to exert all her efforts to block one person in the Hundred-Fold Mountain.

In an instant, Yu Zimo's aura changed. A piece of azure script appeared, imprinted in the void behind her, ancient and elegant, as if an old scroll was unfurling.

This was a spirit communication character, emitting a dim, ethereal light. Each character had a three-dimensional quality and seemed to possess life, releasing an indescribable power.

“Good, Zimo, quickly take action and capture him,”

The crowd rejoiced. They knew their cousin was using a grand divine power, which was a rare sight; it was uncommon for her to reveal it even once in a year or more.

Little Point remained unmoved atop the Nine-Headed Lion. He watched calmly, though his eyes flashed with a compelling light. In his mind, there was no difference between enemies; it didn’t matter who or what they were.

“Seal!”

Yu Zimo softly chanted, her voice as if coming from the heavens, gentle yet carrying a chilling edge, infused with a murderous intent. She waved her pristine white right arm, causing the myriad symbols behind her to tremble and shine with radiant light, quickly advancing forward.

These characters were all crystalline, each seeming forged from fine gold. They shimmered with metallic luster and carried an endless sense of antiquity, their power astonishing.

“Boom!”

Little Point took action; he certainly wouldn’t passively wait for the attack. With his ten fingers spread, ten thick golden lightning bolts surged out, weaving through the symbols, crackling and booming, emitting explosive sounds.

Many symbols were struck by the lightning, turning into fireworks in the void—brilliant and beautiful, emitting tremendous energy fluctuations.

However, it was as if the ancient scroll, bearing the weight of time, was nearly immortal. Even after all the symbols were destroyed, they regenerated on the spot and pressed down again.

Symbols filled the surroundings, densely packed like divine incantations, cascading down and forming an ancient scroll hanging in the sky, sealing the heavens.

A terrifying fluctuation emerged; though gentle and not very intense, it was like a vast sea slowly rising, ready to unleash a torrent that would scatter the dark clouds.

Little Point’s heart tightened. He clasped his hands together, and a pair of silver grinding discs appeared before him, slowly turning.

The constant “crackling” sounds were heard as the silver grinding discs crushed the symbols, trying to penetrate the sealing light curtain.

“Unveil the Scroll!”

Yu Zimo shouted, her voice clear and resounding through the heavens. She glowed brightly, her aura booming, causing the elemental energy in the area to shake violently.

In the void, the characters formed a piece of an ancient scroll, gradually materializing and becoming denser, as if the heavenly seal of magic was trying to enclose Little Point and his companions.

The Nine-Headed Lion changed color. This young girl's divine technique was strange and powerful, and she was employing it in such a special way. It shook its head and tail, preparing to use its divine artifact for self-preservation.

Little Point snorted lightly, unwilling to be careless. Bathed in silver light, he was enveloped by a moon disk and pushed the pair of silver grinding discs forward, attempting to shatter the scroll and break the seal.

“Boom!”

The silver grinding discs struck the sky, colliding with the scroll, causing various mysterious symbols to shine like the stars in the heavens.

“Seal, seal, seal!” The girl continuously chanted, her entire being crystalline, surrounded by ancient characters. She was almost lifting off the ground.

“Open!” Little Point roared, his aura fierce and his eyes glowing golden. His hair stood on end, his demeanor drastically changed, sharp and formidable.

It was like a comet crashing into the sea, causing tremendous waves to erupt. The difference was that these waves were constructed of symbols, more terrifying, sweeping in all directions.

The other geniuses of the Yu clan fled, distancing themselves from the area, fearing being caught in the vortex.

In the sky, Dao light danced, symbols intertwined, and the thunderous roar continued. The ancient scroll unfolded like a Milky Way, becoming even more brilliant.

The silver grinding discs shook violently, and then the two stones suddenly collided, producing a burst of silver light, like a volcanic eruption, shooting towards the heavens.

The heavens trembled, the great lake surged, and the mountains roared.

Ultimately, the silver grinding discs exploded, releasing countless light points that shattered the ancient scroll, causing it to fracture in the sky, and all characters disappeared.

“Zimo’s spirit communication technique has failed.”

The Yu clan members were stunned, their hearts chilled.

“Do not panic; this has just begun.”

They forced themselves to stay calm and continued to watch.

As the ancient scroll disappeared, the rain mist rose, and heavy rain poured down around Yu Zimo, turning into countless crystal-clear droplets that scattered around her, containing the essence of the symbols.

The rain transformed into soldiers, swirling around Yu Zimo, becoming sparkling petals that looked extraordinarily radiant, emitting astonishing light.

Little Point smiled slightly. He hoped the Yu clan would use this technique, as it would only enhance his lightning. Once struck, the thunder’s power would be magnified.

Amid the crackling sounds, the crystalline petals flew forward, attacking like a flurry of flying swords. They filled the sky, sharp and keen.

“Break!”

Little Point shouted, lightning flashing across, filling the void with golden light. The petals shot forward, extremely menacing.

With the shattering sounds, all the crystalline petals exploded, symbols disintegrated, and several lightning bolts struck near Yu Zimo, forcing her to retreat quickly.

With a “crack,” a section of her sleeve was torn apart, revealing a snow-white arm with some reddened and swollen fingers, having taken a heavy blow.

If it had been someone else, this arm would have been shattered. At a critical moment, she activated the symbols to dissipate the lightning’s power and directed it into the ground.

“He understands lightning techniques, which precisely counteract our Yu clan’s methods. This is not good,” the onlookers felt a shiver in their hearts, all anxious.

Heavy rain inundated the girl, surrounded by mist and dark clouds, a haze enveloping her. She glowed, straining to operate the symbols.

“Hmm, not good,” at that moment, the Nine-Headed Lion suddenly felt a chill and turned to flee, sensing a crisis.

Little Point suddenly looked up, astonished.

The rain grew heavier, and before long, a dark cloud descended, obscuring their overhead view. At this moment, a crack of lightning struck, creating a terrifying scene.

This was not something conjured by human effort but rather a display of divine power from the heavens, extremely fearsome. The Nine-Headed Lion and Little Point leaped instantaneously to avoid it.

“Crack!”

Nearby, a low mountain was struck by lightning, splitting apart immediately, with scattered rocks falling, creating a shocking scene.

“Impressive, Zimo has indeed perfected this divine technique to an extraordinary level, able to cast it effortlessly without preparation.”

“Electricity born from the rain, complementing each other—this is the essence of our Yu clan’s transcendence.”

Several geniuses were thrilled.

“Boom!”

The green lightning danced and struck at Little Point, descending continuously. The electric glare was terrifying, sending chills down one’s spine.

Little Point was resolute. Holding the Suan Ni Treasure Mirror, he unleashed golden lightning, charging towards the Yu clan’s talented young woman, turning the area into a sea of lightning with deafening thunder.

The intertwining lightning in the rain threw both sides into a perilous situation, leading to the most intense confrontation.

“Buzz!”

The Yu clan girl summoned a divine artifact, a large umbrella that flew out, shielding her from the rain and lightning, protecting her in the center.

Though she had attracted lightning, her true expertise lay in the Yu clan's water powers. After such a prolonged battle and still unable to take down Little Point, she was finding it increasingly difficult.

“Crack!”

At this moment, Little Point also summoned his divine artifact. The golden divine light blazed like a rising sun, emitting a dragon's roar as the bone scissors charged forward.

With a soft “pfft,” the divine umbrella was severed, instantly torn to shreds. Simultaneously, a golden lightning bolt shot through, following the ruined umbrella and striking the Yu clan girl.

Amid the “crackle” sounds, arcs of electricity spread. The girl’s right shoulder was hit, and although her protective symbols shone brightly, she still coughed up blood. The golden lightning penetrated everywhere, pouring down upon her.

Moreover, the golden bone scissors dove again, sharply slashing, severing the umbrella further into disarray, leaving it in tatters.

“Oh, my divine artifact,” Little Point felt distressed. The power of the golden bone scissors was too great, destroying another divine artifact. He wore a pained expression, his brows deeply furrowed.

But there was no alternative; in a life-or-death battle, one could not afford to be lenient. It was crucial to give it everything or risk one's own life.

“Boom!”

Little Point raised his hand, and the treasure mirror in his hand shone, emitting a menacing golden light aimed at Yu Zimo. The golden thunderbolts surged violently.

“Seal!”

Yu Zimo cried out. Her entire body shone as a divine artifact appeared, woven from purple feathers. It was a treasure garment radiating with blazing light.

With a thunderous noise, Yu Zimo coughed up blood and was thrown back. Her treasure garment shimmered but ultimately exploded, unable to withstand the Suan Ni Treasure Mirror.

A slender, ivory-white arm was exposed, shimmering and glossy. With her divine artifact destroyed, she flew through the air, and her armor was completely reduced to ashes.

Little Point did not hesitate. He extended his right hand, with a crystalline palm, sending out another large bolt of lightning towards Yu Zimo.

“Protect!”

The Yu clan’s talented girl cried out, summoning her spirit communication technique again. The characters behind her manifested at this critical moment, swirling around her for defense.

This was an ancient, tattered scroll encircling the unclothed girl, pure and crystalline, resisting Little Point's divine lightning. The symbols densely interlaced, forming a sea.

Ancient characters emitted resonant sounds, their brilliance dazzling, making her form appear even more alluring. The scroll momentarily blocked the divine thunder’s might.

Little Point couldn’t break through immediately. He blinked his large eyes and said, “Your waist is too thin, like a water snake. Although your chest and hips are large, they are not robust. Your physique cannot compare to mine and it severely affects your combat effectiveness.”

“Ah!”

The Yu clan girl, completely engrossed in the battle and holding her breath, gasped in shock upon hearing this. Her whole body shook, the symbols trembled violently, and the ancient scroll wavered, becoming unstable.

“Boom!”

Without another word, Little Point raised his hand to activate the Suan Ni Treasure Mirror, unleashing thunder while also emitting golden lightning, surging forward.
