The vast wilderness was in utter chaos. Towering mountains stretched endlessly, dense forests, ancient beasts roaring, and fierce birds striking the heavens—everything was in turmoil.
"Moo!"
A bellow echoed for hundreds of miles. Flames shot into the sky as a massive, blood-red bull emerged from a裂开的大山 (cracked mountain). This bull, known as the Fire Bull Demon, stood over ten meters tall and was thirty meters long. It erupted from the split mountain, trailing magma and engulfed in flames.
The Fire Bull Demon, once engaged in a fierce battle with the Golden Sphinx, had its fiery horn broken. It was a formidable presence from ancient times, its legend even known to the elders of Stone Village. It trod upon flames, its red fur gleaming like satin, and charged forward.
Behind it followed an endless swarm of ferocious beasts, a sea of monsters that avoided the magma and fire, pouring out of the wilderness and heading towards the land beyond.
"Ah no!"
In a village of several hundred households, everyone was terrified. The number of beasts flooding in was overwhelming, and their leader, the Fire Bull Demon, was far more powerful than their protective spirit. They had no way to resist.
The village’s protective spirit sensed the danger immediately, abandoning the place and fleeing. It merged with the beast tide, becoming one of them.
It was a massacre. The Fire Bull Demon charged through, and nothing could stop it—not even the protective spirits of large tribes. It trampled over stone houses and altars with its single fiery horn, crushing and destroying everything in its path.
Smoke and dust filled the sky as it moved towards the far reaches of the land.
In its wake, a vast number of beasts rampaged, attacking mercilessly. The villagers fought desperately but were insignificant compared to the flood of beasts. The sounds of "puff puff" were constant as sharp claws and white teeth claimed life after life.
It was a human tragedy. The village was overwhelmed by the beast tide in an instant, with everyone perishing and no survivors left.
Similar events were happening elsewhere. In just a short time, seven or eight villages on the outskirts of the vast mountain range were flattened, leaving behind large pools of blood.
In the depths of the mountains, two terrifying entities issued orders, commanding various fierce birds and beasts to surge out of the wilderness and cleanse the land with blood.
In fact, some of the fierce birds and beasts were stopped by the red bird and the being wielding an iron staff. Otherwise, the destruction would have been even greater.
In Xiao Gushan Town, a golden lion approached, its fur gleaming and golden light flowing over its body. It walked upright, towering twenty meters tall, with a large horn on its forehead emitting electric sparks and blood-red eyes. It entered the town.
"Heaven, it’s that golden lion!" The townspeople were terrified. It was an ancient beast, with legends known to many of the older generation. No one expected it to arrive here.
"Run!"
No one dared resist. This ancient breed was incredibly terrifying. As soon as it entered the town, it swiped its paw, instantly killing seven or eight people in the streets, their bodies mangled. Another swipe brought down several stone houses, crushing a dozen people.
Xiao Gushan Town was thrown into chaos. People fled in all directions but soon found themselves surrounded by beasts with no escape. The beast tide had engulfed the town.
"Heaven, why do you punish us so?" An old man with white hair roared at the sky.
"Dad, help me!" A child cried out in terror.
Xiao Gushan Town was plunged into panic. With the apocalypse upon them, everyone fled, but found no way out, their desperate cries echoing.
"Golden-haired lion, I will fight you!" The town's top fighter, a robust middle-aged man with a towering sword, charged at the beast king.
"Puff!"
Unfortunately, he was no match for the ancient beast. With a single swipe, the lion tore him and his sword in half, blood spraying high.
"Boom!"
In the center of the town, a low stone mountain shook violently, a massive rock erupting from it, radiating with brilliant light and covered in symbols, charging forward rapidly.
"Clang!"
The golden lion swung its sharp claws, striking the rock with a loud "snap." Sparks flew as the rock tumbled away.
"Roar!"
The beast tide swallowed Xiao Gushan Town. A horde of beasts rushed forward, tearing at the symbol-covered rock, their growls and the sound of stone chipping filling the air. The rock glowed, emitting immense force, smashing beasts into pulp and splattering blood.
The golden lion roared, causing the entire town to tremble. The horn on its head emitted dazzling light, a lightning bolt striking the rock, causing cracks to appear.
"Your ferocity and bloodshed will not go unpunished. I am a descendant of the Mountain God," the glowing rock transmitted a divine thought.
"Speak to the entities in the mountains about that," the golden lion also transmitted a divine thought, opening its gaping maw to release an even more brilliant electrical light before charging forward.
"Crack!"
Despite the fierce resistance of the town's protective spirit, it was ultimately smashed by the golden lion, bursting into a brilliant spray of blood, consumed by the beasts.
Moments later, Xiao Gushan Town was reduced to ruins, with broken walls, blood stains everywhere, and everyone dead, their remains devoured by the beasts.
The wilderness was filled with beasts, and the land outside appeared apocalyptic. Led by powerful ancient breeds, the beast tide swept across all inhabited areas, causing a catastrophe.
In Stone Village, the silent willow trees swayed as their tender branches glowed softly, enveloping the entire village. The beast tide surged but avoided this place from afar.
Perhaps this was the only place that escaped the disaster.
"Such suffering for living beings. I don’t know how many will perish. Nearby villages are likely gone," an elder lamented, his face filled with sadness. As they struggled and survived in the vast wilderness, witnessing such a calamity brought sorrow and sympathy.
Little did he know, this disaster was far worse than he could imagine. It wasn't just the chaos around the mountains but had spread to the boundless land.
On this day, blood splattered across the land, and countless tribes were wiped out. Fierce birds and beasts roamed freely, with ancient monsters appearing and sweeping across all populated regions. It was a cataclysm.
In the vast mountains, chaos spread, celestial light occasionally erupting as the four supreme beings battled fiercely for the sacred object.
Divine flames burned half the sky, giant birds swept the heavens, beasts tore the firmament apart, and iron rods pierced through the clouds. The battle grew increasingly intense.
The pristine white sacred object changed hands several times, with each of the four beings obtaining it, but none could truly possess it. The battle continued.
The dozen ancient bones could no longer protect the mountains. The four supreme beings clashed, causing the mountains to collapse and rocks to fall from the sky, the destruction was immense.
As they fought, they moved towards the distant land. The battlefield expanded, stretching for thousands of miles, almost too vast for the mountains to contain.
In Stone Village, the charred willow trees trembled suddenly. The tender branches glowed with vibrant green light, casting a brilliant radiance that covered the entire village.
"Ah, what’s happening?" Little Dot, who was playing under the tree with three baby birds, looked up with a surprised expression.
The villagers trembled, feeling as if they were facing a deity. The ancestral medicine cauldron of the clan began to glow, resonating, and the ancient patterns of the ancestors became clearer on the cauldron’s wall.
With a buzzing sound, the willow tree's green light soared into the sky, and chains of divine order intertwined, blindingly bright. Then, it enveloped Stone Village, and suddenly, it vanished from existence. The place was left with nothing.
It was completely charred, having suffered catastrophic damage. In the face of the coming calamity, it could only protect itself and was powerless to contend with such a terrifying being.
"Mm."
In the distant, fog-covered mountains, a pair of deep, lake-like eyes looked this way with great sensitivity, emitting a dull sound. "It actually escaped."
"At this speed, it would take days to bloodbath this land. Too slow," said the fierce bird, its blood-red eyes radiating fierce rage as it soared through the sky like a dark cloud.
"I hate the human race. Their reproduction rate is astonishing. We should do it ourselves and end it quickly," the beast growled, its green eyes filled with murderous intent. It shot two lightning bolts as thick as mountains toward the location of the former Stone Village.
"Boom!"
The mountains collapsed, the earth cracked open, and dust soared into the sky. A deep pit appeared at the location of Stone Village, resembling a vast abyss, dark and unfathomable.
"Eh, it turns out to be the site of a deity’s fall. No wonder it took root here. What a pity, it has gotten what it wanted," roared the creature with green eyes, its murderous intent overwhelming.
The radiant sacred object floated and shimmered with light, as the four great beings continued their battle, using treasure techniques against each other. The entire vast mountain range was destroyed, with broken mountains scattered everywhere. Their conflict extended over thousands of miles, reaching into the boundless land.
"With such a murderous intent, do you not fear retribution someday?"
"Who can take me?" The terrifying being with the green eyes roared, its roar scattering the clouds in the sky.
The fierce bird was even more direct. It spread its wings, covering the sky with dark mist. Its body was larger than a storm cloud. This time, it captured the radiant sacred object and flew off to a location tens of thousands of miles away.
The other three beings naturally gave chase, launching fierce attacks.
"I loathe the human race. Let me show you a bloodbath," the fierce bird screeched, flapping its wings and sweeping across the boundless land in an instant, mountains and scenery rushing backward.
Soon, it arrived at a territory of nobles belonging to the Thunder Tribe, with a population of tens of millions. It dropped the sacred object and began to bloodbath the area directly.
"Roar!"
Although it was a fierce bird, it emitted a beastly roar. Opening its beak, a terrifying black light surged forth, covering the noble territory with a population of tens of millions.
The Thunder Tribe's domain was vast, with towering cities and a populous, thriving community. But today, it faced an apocalyptic catastrophe.
Like a mountain flood or a vast sea hitting the sky, after the noble territory was covered by the black light, all the inhabitants were lifted into the sky, flying towards the gaping, enormous beak.
It was a terrifying sight, like an apocalypse. There was no way to stop it. Once enveloped in the black light, the population of tens of millions faced inevitable death.
Struggling within the black light only resulted in them bursting into blood mist.
"The Sky-Swallowing Sparrow, it’s actually the legendary Sky-Swallowing Sparrow!"
"Heaven, what great mistake have we made to attract such a mythical bird to punish us?"
Cries and wails filled the Thunder Tribe. Everyone was stunned, powerless to resist.
Struggling was futile. No one could save them. The black light covered the sky, and they could only watch as they were swallowed by the bird’s beak.
It was a horrifying scene. A giant, fierce bird loomed in the sky, shrouded in black mist, obscuring the entire sky. Its eyes were as large as blood moons as it opened its massive beak and swallowed tens of millions of people.
"Puff, puff!"
After being swallowed, the people burst into fragments, turning into blood mist inside the bird’s stomach.
"Such a vast amount of blood essence, barely enough to satisfy my hunger," said the Sky-Swallowing Sparrow, now rejuvenated and full of energy after consuming the massive blood essence, its fatigue vanished.
