Chapter 37: Tyranny

Chapter 37: Tyranny

Although the Jiaopeng people were not large, their eyes were cold, decisive, and domineering. With a strong pull, the precious bow was drawn into a full moon shape, and a cold, gleaming iron arrow was aimed at the three young birds.

A chilling light shot out with a whistling sound, the powerful wind howled like a ghost, charging towards Ziyun. He had targeted this particular young bird because it looked the most extraordinary, glowing with a purple-golden hue, and he intended to injure it for capture.

With a clang, the little one leaped forward and struck the iron arrow with his snow-white hand, deflecting it away. Everyone was startled; this little fellow was incredibly fast, leaping through the air to intercept such a powerful arrow.

"Why are you being so cruel? Why do you want to harm Ziyun and the others?" Little Shi Hao said angrily, his eyes wide with rage.

"Get out of the way!" the Jiaopeng shouted fiercely, his brows furrowed and his gaze sharp. He aimed the iron arrow at the little one, a cold smile on his face.

His domineering and aggressive behavior made Er Meng, Pi Hou, and Bi Tiwa all furious. They had never encountered such unreasonable behavior before. The three young birds were raised by the villagers, but he wanted to injure and capture them.

"Are you still going to reason with me?" Shi Dazhuang roared, raising a heavy bronze cauldron, ready to charge forward.

"Dazhuang, step back," the little one said, knowing that no one else could match the Jiaopeng.

"If you don’t step back, don’t blame me for being merciless with my iron arrows," Jiaopeng said coldly, his expression not befitting his age.

"Dapeng, Ziyun, go back," Little Shi Hao said, instructing the three young birds to retreat first. He was worried they might be hurt and stood in the front.

"None of you will leave. These three fierce birds are my prey," Jiaopeng said coldly, drawing his bow and aiming forward. The arrowhead glowed with a cold light, and the murderous intent filled the air.

"Whoosh" The wind howled as Zishan Kun and Lei Mingyuan also took action, fearing to fall behind Jiaopeng. They rushed towards the three young birds, holding precious bows and iron arrows, ready to hunt.

Dapeng, Xiao Qing, and Ziyun were highly intelligent, and although they couldn’t speak, their wisdom was comparable to humans. They had already realized what was about to happen and were very angry.

The little one leaped forward, blocking the two men and said in a childish voice, "These are my companions. You can’t hurt them."

At this moment, Shi Linhu and others were alerted and rushed over, all with anger. They had initially thought of these people as guests but were shocked by their blatant bullying.

"This isn’t right," an elder from the Cloud Sky Palace said, trying to mediate.

"Just a few children throwing a tantrum. Let them have a competition and see who is the true talent. It’s not a big deal," someone tried to smooth things over, hoping to take the Sphinx treasure bones from Stone Village but lacked an excuse, hoping things would escalate.

As for the Jiaocang from Luofu Da Ze, he remained indifferent and made no move to stop Jiaopeng. The Zishan Tribe and the Lei Tribe also remained silent, watching coldly as their own children acted, waiting for the outcome.

"Alright, since it’s a matter for the children, we’ll just watch and not interfere," the elder from the Cloud Sky Palace said, nodding and saying no more.

Although Shi Linhu and others were angry, they saw the little one signaling them to hold back, and they suppressed their rage, understanding the dire situation and the terrifying presence of these people.

"Whoosh," "Whoosh"

Jiaopeng suddenly drew his bow and shot a series of consecutive arrows, one after another. The cold light was blinding, and the strong wind howled as the iron arrows flew towards the three young birds, each arrow carrying deadly intent.

The little one quickly intercepted, but Jiaopeng was not alone. Zishan Kun and Lei Mingyuan were also attacking, requiring close vigilance. Moreover, Jiaopeng’s arrows were too numerous to block entirely.

"Clang"

Sparks flew as the iron arrows struck the three young birds, making a sound like metal clashing with metal, and the force was tremendous.

Dapeng cried out, flapping his wings vigorously, striking the arrows. Although protected by hard scales, he was still injured, blood dripping, and several scales fell off.

"Clang," "Clang"

The other two young birds were also struck by arrows, Xiao Qing emitting a mournful cry with blood splattering.

Jiaopeng’s strength was immense; though only a little over five years old, his arms had the strength of thousands of pounds, and the arrows had terrifying penetrative power.

Although the three young birds were extraordinary and had been learning bone texts with Shi Hao, they were only about three months old and too young to fully utilize their treasure techniques. The defense of their scales was far inferior to that of adult Qinglin Eagles. Except for Ziyun, both Dapeng and Xiao Qing were injured, with several scales falling off and blood spattering.

The little one was extremely angry, leaping in front of the three young birds and glaring at Jiaopeng.

"Get lost!" Jiaopeng was arrogant, his gaze icy, aiming the iron arrow at Shi Hao, drawing the bowstring to its full extent, directly targeting his throat.

The villagers were enraged. The three young birds had grown up in Stone Village and were already members of the village. It was outrageous that someone came to the village to hunt and blatantly steal.

"Don’t force me," Little Shi Hao’s words reflected the intensity of his fury.

"Force me? So what?" Jiaopeng provoked. Having been defeated in a physical contest earlier, he was uncomfortable and had decided to use his treasure techniques.

"Whoosh"

A cold light flew towards him. Jiaopeng released the bowstring, and the iron arrow shot towards the little one’s throat, swift and terrifying, with a piercing whistling sound.

"Boom"

The little one’s move was simple, fast, stable, and accurate. With a loud "boom," he caught the chilling iron arrow and, with a powerful flick, sent it back towards Jiaopeng. At the same time, he leaped twenty meters, diving like a dragon, his small frame emanating an astonishingly strong aura.

The little one took the initiative and attacked Jiaopeng.

"I’ve been waiting for you for a long time," Jiaopeng’s fighting spirit soared. Since he had been defeated once, he was determined to win back.

He dropped the precious bow and iron arrow, moving his body with the strength and agility of a demonic ape. His feet shifted, moving horizontally for several meters, and then his arms glowed with runes, quickly illuminating him with a layer of treasure radiance.

"Wild brat, you live in the mountains and don’t know how vast the outside world is. Now you’ll see the power of bone texts," Jiaopeng’s voice was icy.

Once his arms fully illuminated, he became fearless, charging towards the little one for a showdown, intending to crush him with absolute strength. The runes glowed, granting him incredible speed and divine power.

The little one remained silent, soaring through the air. At the moment of contact, dazzling light burst from his body, the divine light surged, refining the world’s creation, and his hands and fingers instantly turned white.

"Boom"

Their palms collided with a loud bang, as if a mountain had collapsed. Jiaopeng groaned in pain, his body flying sideways, his tiger’s mouth completely cracked, blood spilling, and his arms convulsing.

If it weren’t for the mysterious runes on his arms glowing at a critical moment, manifesting two fierce dragon-like creatures wrapping around his hands, his finger bones would have been severely fractured.

"Thud"

Jiaopeng flew several meters before crashing to the ground and then rolling several meters more before stopping and steadying himself.

In an instant, the scene fell into complete silence, with not a sound to be heard. Everyone was stunned, never expecting such an outcome. They had just begun, and Jiaopeng had been blasted away.

"Divine power is astonishing," the elder from the Cloud Sky Palace exclaimed in amazement.

At the very least, at this age, the little one's physical strength had already surpassed that of a genius like Jiaopeng by a significant margin, making him a prodigy of extraordinary talent.

Jiaopeng performed a dramatic roll to his feet, his face almost dripping with blood. Having suffered a severe setback, he felt as if he had been slapped across the face, and his anger surged.

“Boom”

A dull thud echoed as the little one kicked the heavy bronze cauldron, sending it flying through the air towards Zishan Kun and Lei Mingyuan. These two had already drawn their bows and aimed at the three young birds while he was engaged in combat.

The massive cauldron soared through the air.

The onlookers were stunned. Was this really a village child under four years old? To kick a thousand-pound cauldron into the air with such force was astonishing and entirely inconsistent with his usual porcelain doll-like appearance.

With a thunderous crash, the cauldron flew in with tremendous force, its impact truly shocking.

For a genius of this age, lifting the cauldron was easy, but using it as a weapon to strike and smash was frightening. No one dared to confront it directly.

The two geniuses quickly dodged, fearing being struck. Even a glancing hit could cause broken bones and torn muscles.

“Crack”

Ultimately, Zishan Kun’s precious bow was shattered by the impact. The cauldron’s approach had been too sudden and forceful. He had tried to dodge and use his bow to block, but while he remained unharmed, his bow was destroyed on the spot.

“You two, come over here,” the little one ordered, glaring at the two men. Then he turned to Jiaopeng and pointed at the three of them, saying, “All three of you come at me together.”

The crowd was dumbfounded. The geniuses from the Zishan and Lei families, and the Jiaocang from Luofu Da Ze, were all taken aback. They had come to this remote mountain village and found themselves needing to team up to fight a child who was still on milk.

If Jiaopeng, Zishan Kun, and Lei Mingyuan were considered geniuses, then what could one call this child who was not yet four years old?
