In the deepest part of the mountains, a fierce battle erupted like something out of a myth. Every time the vast golden claws descended, they shattered an entire mountain ridge.
The little red bird was no less formidable. Many peaks turned into magma, with red liquid erupting into the sky like red rivers connecting heaven and earth. But that was only the aftermath; the real battle took place in the heavens.
The red bird, only the size of a palm with feathers as red as blood, was incredibly fierce. It dove into the thick clouds, engaging in a grand showdown with the terrifying unknown creature.
The people of Shicun watched in stunned silence, their spines tingling with cold. There were rumors that some ancient creatures were so powerful they could easily annihilate a great clan, like gods. Seeing this now, it seemed the rumors were true.
"It's a pity we can't see it clearly," they said.
The leaden clouds were thick, and an unusual force blocked all view, making it impossible to see what was happening in the sky.
"So, the little red one is so powerful," Little Stone said, resting his chin on his hand and blinking his large eyes.
Half an hour later, the area deep within the mountains calmed down, but the fire clouds persisted, swirling around with a red sky that seemed to have been dyed with divine blood.
"In these turbulent times, I wonder what kind of mountain treasure has appeared. They’ve been fighting for two years—does it still not have a conclusion?" Chief Shiyunfeng wondered.
"It must be an extraordinary treasure," Shi Linhu said.
The innermost part of the mountains was filled with various strange phenomena, and no one from Shicun had ventured deep inside to see what kind of mountain treasure was there.
In the following half-month, the deepest part of the mountains remained peaceful, with no further intense battles, making people nearly forget the dramatic confrontation that had occurred.
However, in more distant lands, unrest was brewing.
This was a land of abundance with vast plains, beautiful mountains, and rivers.
Scaled horses, like waves, surged in massive numbers. They were a squad of iron-clad cavalry, traversing the world with shining armor and overwhelming killing intent, performing drills.
On the horizon, there was a boundless expanse of buildings, stretching endlessly. This was a great tribe with a population of millions, thriving on this land.
The tribe had countless strong warriors, with a legacy unbroken from ancient times to the present. Each generation produced several prodigies, ensuring their continued strength and prosperity.
Among the buildings, there was a large golden tent. A scaled horse galloped in, and a powerful figure leaped down, landing and loudly reporting, "Tribe Leader, there’s activity in the south. It seems there might be a world-shaking mountain treasure emerging."
"Didn’t one appear two years ago? Why is there still news now?" an elder's voice came through.
"Unknown reasons. The strongest creatures are still fighting."
"In that case, a significant sacred object must have been unearthed, and the ancient creatures haven’t obtained it yet, stirring up a storm of chaos," said an elder emerging from the golden tent, tall and robust, with eyes that emitted streams of golden lightning, exuding immense terror.
"Tribe Leader, should we go? Our tribe may not have a population in the millions, but our strength is by no means inferior to others." Several powerful figures approached, each exuding a menacing aura, like reincarnated beasts.
"Don't take risks. Take a few youngsters with you to see the world, but no one is allowed to act without my orders," the elder advised, with eyes glowing with an intimidating light.
"Understood."
Far away, in another land.
A massive lake, as blue as the sea, with stunning scenery, had islands scattered like stars. Waves surged as several children rode a dragon, leaping out of the water, with clouds rolling and scales sparkling, soaring high into the sky.
On the islands, adults watched indulgently.
"Stop messing around. Soon, we’ll take you on a journey to see the wonders of the outside world."
"Ha! They’re all mediocre. Last time they claimed to be incredible talents, but weren’t they defeated by us? If it weren’t for them escaping into the Fire Cave on their fire qilin, they would have been captured," a youth retorted.
In another remote region.
This was a domain of nobility, vast and boundless, with a population of tens of millions, and giant cities bustling with activity.
The grand royal capital was majestic and solemn, with walls built of diamond rock, immensely grand, resembling a black mountain ridge spanning the horizon, giving a powerful sense of oppression.
The royal palace was magnificent, like a heavenly palace descended to earth, grand and towering, with interiors that were resplendent with gold and jade, embodying unimaginable luxury and wealth.
"The ancient creatures have been fighting for two years and still haven’t retreated," a calm and authoritative voice came from the supreme throne in the magnificent silver palace.
The figure was shrouded in light, like a purple sun, the brilliance so intense it engulfed the entire person.
This presence was immensely terrifying, radiating like a massive furnace or a blinding purple deity, making it impossible to approach, only to look up in awe.
On the grand hall, a strong warrior knelt, unable to raise his head, and reported, "Yes, it has lasted for two years, and it appears that a miraculous divine object has been unearthed."
In the silver palace, other figures were present, seated in their places. One young man stood and said, "I didn’t expect that barren wilderness to yield a mountain treasure so coveted by the strongest ancient creatures. Interesting. Father, I suggest we immediately send people to observe the situation; perhaps there’s something to gain."
"Go find your great-uncle, and take you and those youngsters along to witness it. But no one is allowed to act without my orders; otherwise, they will face death without mercy."
The authoritative voice from the supreme throne trembled, the purple sun shaking, with a terrifying aura spreading, causing the entire hall to sway.
In another distant land, similar to others, with numerous cities and a population of tens of millions, was the territory of another noble. In the grand and immense royal palace, thunderous roars erupted, shaking many armored soldiers who nearly fell to their knees.
It was the voice of one person, exceedingly terrifying, shaking the entire palace like thunder from the heavens.
"Marquis Zishan has moved and sent his offspring. Yun Kun, take your brothers and go too. Beat up any prodigies you see from the Zishan family."
The sound of thunder echoed, and black lightning intertwined in the treasure hall, surrounding a blurred and imposing figure, creating a sea of thunder.
"Understood."
Farther away, in another mountainous region, the towering peaks rose into the clouds, their summits covered in thick white snow, with extremely low temperatures.
Yet, there was a massive city built on the central mountain, overlooking the vast world.
The population here wasn’t large, belonging to an ancient secluded family, but its legacy was extraordinarily impressive, having once ruled this land in ancient times.
"The barren forest has yielded a sacred object. It’s truly incredible," an elder said.
"It has lasted for two years, and the ancient creatures have not left. It’s worth investigating to find out what it is. Many people will likely head there."
"Marquis Zishan and Lord Lei, being old rivals, will surely have their descendants face off. Take a few of our young prodigies to see the world."
"Grandpa, we all want to go," several pretty young girls said as they walked through the snow, each as beautiful as little fairies with lively eyes, rosy and translucent faces, and flowing black hair. They were followed by two young men.
"Go ahead and see just how strong the talents outside are," an elder said with a smile.
The land was far from peaceful. The unrest from the depths of the wilderness had reached distant lands, attracting the attention of many super-large clans.
In Shicun, Chief Shiyunfeng was talking with Little Stone.
"Your talent is exceptional. At such a young age, your mastery of bone inscriptions is already impressive. From today on, I will teach you how to further transform yourself."
"Is it different from what I learned before?" Little Stone asked, puzzled.
"Bones inscriptions are mysterious symbols created by imitating and evolving the primitive marks observed from other races. They are merely a means; ultimately, you need to turn them into your own power," Shiyunfeng explained.
"Chief Grandpa, please explain in detail," Little Stone said with a strong desire for knowledge, his large eyes bright and clear.
"Yes, make the most of this time to study. I will prepare a ritual for you using the true blood of the Suanni’s divine body, the crimson treasure horn, and the demon ape’s arm. Otherwise, if such things are left unused for too long, their divine essence will diminish. I hope you can hold on until you turn five."
