The Azure-scaled Eagle glanced sideways, its whole body shimmering with a cold light, as if polished from refined metal. It exuded a chilling and imposing presence, with divine radiance gleaming in its eyes as it looked down.
"Auntie Qing, hurry up, there's no time!" Little Shi Hao waved his small hand from the mountain peak, shouting loudly.
The wind howled as the Azure-scaled Eagle swooped down, its wings spreading out to a length of fifteen or sixteen meters, like a dark cloud pressing down, casting a shadow that was heart-palpitating.
With a "whoosh," Shi Hao leapt five or six meters high, landing on the broad back of the eagle, immediately feeling a hardness, with each scale as cold and tough as fine iron.
"Little one, don't take unnecessary risks," shouted the clan leader, Shi Yunfeng. Everything had happened too quickly for him to stop Shi Hao from jumping onto the eagle.
"Grandpa clan leader, don't worry. We won't take any risks; we'll act when the opportunity arises," Shi Hao waved his little hand, signaling not to worry.
"Little one, be careful," Shi Linhu shouted, knowing he couldn't stop the little guy and could only loudly warn him.
"Uncle, I know. Grandpa clan leader, you should go back. It's too dangerous here. Even if our entire clan goes out, the chances are slim."
The clan members fell silent, acknowledging the truth. Even if all the able-bodied men went out, they would be overwhelmed by the hundreds of frenzied beasts, dying in the forest.
"Let's go," ordered clan leader Shi Yunfeng with a wave of his hand, preventing greater disaster.
"Little one, be careful," the clan members shouted in unison, loudly admonishing.
"I know. Grandpa clan leader, you be careful too."
The Azure-scaled Eagle circled and flew towards the distance, its speed extremely fast. The wind howled like thunder, making faces sting and eyes almost impossible to open. Little Shi Hao lay on its back, gripping its cold, gleaming scales tightly with his small hands, squinting his big eyes and looking down.
"Auntie Qing, be careful, there are many fierce beasts below."
The Azure-scaled Eagle flew swiftly, crossing numerous mountain peaks in an instant, reaching the front of this mountainous area. Trees were bent, giant trees broken, and broken branches and leaves scattered everywhere.
Hundreds of powerful beasts were fighting, with over a hundred fierce birds flapping their iron wings, leaving nothing behind. Even many rocks were shattered, leaving a scene of devastation.
Beast roars and bird cries echoed through the forest, and blood stained the ground. Many large beast bodies lay fallen, trampled into bloody mud, creating a scene of carnage.
In front of the collapsed stone mountain, it was densely packed with terrifying creatures engaged in a frenzied battle. Blood splattered high as they crowded and dug through the huge rocks, searching for the suanni's (a mythical lion-like creature) corpse.
Among them was a striped mountain cat several meters long, with horns on its head, tearing open the bodies of giant beasts with every strike, becoming bloodthirsty and frenzied. Its claws were also extremely sharp, slicing through flesh and bone with ease.
A massive Kui beast roared thunderously, its enormous body over twenty meters long, resembling a small mountain. Its sonic waves served as weapons, knocking out numerous fierce beasts. Its huge feet trampled, splattering blood and mud.
A meter-long silver pangolin, with a huge drill-like horn on its head, indestructibly pierced through rocks, directly burrowing into the mountain.
There were too many species, all strong and unique, daring to appear here only because they were intelligent and powerful.
Giant beasts competed fiercely, with groups of formidable creatures clashing violently, all aiming to obtain the suanni's corpse, hoping to evolve into the forest's overlord by devouring it.
The wind howled as the Azure-scaled Eagle swooped down, extending its millstone-sized iron claws towards the meter-long silver pangolin, which was closest to the suanni's corpse, half of its body already inside the stone mountain.
With a "puff," the pangolin's iron-like skin was pierced by the eagle's cold, gleaming claws, bleeding profusely.
An enraged roar came from the stone mountain as the silver pangolin went berserk, thrashing its tail wildly and emerging from the rocks, standing on its hind legs and thrusting its two-meter-long horn at the eagle's chest.
However, the Azure-scaled Eagle was ferocious, once forcing the entire Shi village to use their ancestral weapon, a terrifying ancient beast king's relic. It flapped its wings skyward, swiftly rising, still gripping the pangolin's tail, quickly ascending into the clouds.
During this ascent, wind and thunder roared as the pangolin's violent struggle proved futile. Without the ground for support, it couldn't stand up, unable to harm the fierce bird.
Suddenly, above the clouds, the eagle released its claws, and the pangolin fell like a silver-white beam of light, plummeting rapidly.
With a "boom," the forest below erupted in cries of agony as the meter-long pangolin crashed into the scene, crushing several powerful creatures. Even its iron-like body turned to pulp, despite its hardness.
"Auntie, you're amazing!" Little Shi Hao exclaimed in awe.
The Azure-scaled Eagle swooped down again towards the stone mountain, the apex predator of the outer mountain range, naturally looking down on the other beasts.
With a "buzz," this time it didn't use physical force but spat out a two-meter-wide azure moon, different from Little Shi Hao's silver moon, aiming at the twenty-meter-long Kui beast.
This primitive treasure technique caused chaos as many fierce birds and beasts panicked and fled. Yet some bloodthirsty ones charged forward, deciding to eliminate this major threat first.
With a "puff," the azure moon shone brilliantly, slicing through the Kui beast's massive head, spraying blood meters high. The headless body crashed down, shaking the ground, with blood flowing like rivers.
A terrifying screech came from the giant mountain cat, hiding behind an elevated rock, leaping at the Azure-scaled Eagle from behind. Its head bore a large black horn, aiming straight for the eagle's head, with claws extending over half a meter, tearing at its back.
This was a well-executed ambush. If hit, the eagle's iron-like scales might not hold, as this was also a powerful ancient-blooded mountain cat.
Simultaneously, flapping sounds filled the air as seven or eight fierce birds dived from all directions, attacking the eagle together, perceiving it as the greatest threat and attempting to eliminate this aerial overlord.
A hazy light appeared, and a silver moon rose, symbols flashing. Temples sat within the moon, ancient trees accompanied it, and the moon radiated treasure light. With a "buzz," it sliced through the air, shattering the mountain cat's horn and splitting its head, causing it to scream and fall.
"Auntie Qing, don't worry, I'll handle the rear," Little Shi Hao said in his childish voice.
The Azure-scaled Eagle screeched, flapping its wings to sweep away the other fierce birds, scattering feathers and blood. It tore apart five or six large birds, some even bigger than itself, but all killed by its sheer physical power.
This was the descendant of an ancient demon bird. Without using its treasure technique, it could still sweep through the forest with its physical strength alone.
The wind howled as the Azure-scaled Eagle swooped again, making most fierce beasts retreat, avoiding its overwhelming strength.
"Auntie Qing, let's dig through these rocks. The suanni is right below," said Little Shi Hao.
The Azure-scaled Eagle landed and, with a single swipe of its claw, shattered a thousand-pound boulder. Spreading its iron wings, it swept away all the debris with a whoosh. It quickly excavated the area, knowing that it was a dangerous place where even a mighty creature like itself couldn't stay for long.
Rocks flew as it dug out a deep pit. Suddenly, a flash of purple light shot out, a dazzling beam heading straight for the Azure-scaled Eagle.
"Clang!"
The purple-gold beam struck the Azure-scaled Eagle's left wing, sparking a flurry of fire, causing the fierce bird to cry out in pain from the iron-like wing.
"Ah, it's a purple snake!" Little Shi Hao exclaimed.
The snake moved incredibly fast, retreating after its attack. It was only as thick as an adult's thigh and about six or seven meters long, appearing slender compared to the giant beasts.
However, it was extremely powerful, covered in shimmering purple-gold scales that emitted a brilliant glow. Its bites were so forceful that they shattered the Azure-scaled Eagle's iron-like scales.
Moreover, black blood oozed from the Azure-scaled Eagle's wound, indicating it had been poisoned.
"Poof!"
The descendant of the ancient demon bird acted decisively, spitting out a tiny crescent moon from its mouth. With a "poof," it cut away the affected flesh and scales, severing several pounds of it, causing blood to splatter.
"Auntie Qing!" Little Shi Hao cried out in alarm.
No one had expected such a terrifying snake to be hidden among the rocks, clearly powerful enough to challenge the azure fierce bird.
The Azure-scaled Eagle screeched as symbols flashed at its wound, quickly stopping the bleeding and stabilizing the injury. Its eyes then shot out two cold, piercing lights, staring at the purple-gold snake.
"Hiss, hiss."
The snake hissed, displaying its intelligence as it faced off with the eagle.
Moonlight emerged, shining brilliantly as the Azure-scaled Eagle unleashed its treasure technique, slashing at the purple-gold snake with great speed. The air hummed and roared under the pressure.
Surprisingly, the purple-gold snake was incredibly fast, rising on its tail and leaping over twenty meters away, dodging the attack.
The Azure-scaled Eagle flapped its wings and swooped, opening its beak as the azure moon reappeared, even more intense, chasing and slicing towards the purple-gold snake, producing a metallic clanging sound.
Finally, it struck. However, to everyone's surprise, the purple-gold snake wasn't cut in half. Instead, it lost a large patch of scales, revealing some blood.
It writhed in pain, quickly leaping another twenty meters away.
"Whoosh!"
Little Shi Hao acted, a silver moon appearing in his right palm, radiating holy light and countless rays, emitting auspicious vapor. With a "whoosh," it flew out, slashing at the snake's wound.
Many scales had already fallen off there, reducing its defense. Blood splattered, but the snake still wasn't cut in half; the wound was only thumb-deep. Its flesh and bones were extremely tough, resisting the attack.
The Azure-scaled Eagle's gaze grew colder. It rarely got injured outside the deep mountains, but today it had suffered a significant loss, prompting it to relentlessly pursue the snake.
Suddenly, a two-meter-long blood-red beam shot from the side, dazzling with brilliant crimson light. It struck the Azure-scaled Eagle's back unexpectedly, defenselessly.
This was a blood mink, about two meters long, with a body as crystal-clear as red agate and a pair of wings as red as the sunset. Though small compared to the giant beasts, it was exceptionally powerful.
It possessed immense strength and lightning-fast speed. It dashed past, nearly disemboweling Little Shi Hao, who was only saved by the silver moon deflecting it. It swiped at the Azure-scaled Eagle's neck, leaving a gaping wound over half a meter long.
Little Shi Hao shouted, and the silver moon reappeared, driving the blood mink away.
The fierce bird trembled, its whole body glowing, utterly enraged by the repeated losses. Its ferocity surged as it began hunting the two beasts.
The coordination between the purple-gold snake and the blood mink was flawless, as if they had rehearsed. This impressed Little Shi Hao, realizing these creatures possessed high intelligence.
"Boom!"
A massive silver crocodile surged from the river, crashing through the rocks to join the fray.
Simultaneously, seven or eight other powerful creatures appeared, far surpassing ordinary giant beasts, creating a formidable standoff.
Finally, as if by mutual understanding, they stopped attacking and began excavating the rocks together, aiming to uncover the suanni's treasure body before fighting over it.
The Azure-scaled Eagle ceased its pursuit, its body covered in bloodstains, and its azure scales gleaming with a terrifying light.
"Auntie Qing, are you alright?" Little Shi Hao asked worriedly. Hundreds of giant beasts were around, a few of them as strong as the Azure-scaled Eagle, making it extremely difficult to seize the suanni's remains.
"Boom!"
The silver crocodile went berserk, continuously flipping over giant rocks. Suddenly, a radiant golden glow burst forth, like a small sun rising, shining between the rocks.
It was a leg as thick as a pillar, strong and covered in golden beast hair, dazzling like forged gold, exuding a fierce aura.
The treasure body of the ancient relic suanni had appeared. Primitive symbols shimmered on its body, dazzling and brilliant, causing all the powerful creatures to tremble with excitement and rush forward.
